Let's do this again!
Tournament starts today Jun 7th, and ends Jun 30th on Sunday. That's 24 days. Top 5 combined lengths win! We can do next one from July 1st to 31st to keep it consistent in the future :-)
BTW, fstr385 won the last one is appears: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/117942-florida-bragging-rights/page-9
Go! Go! Go!
d**n i hooked a nice one yesterday ill be in this one this month tho
Awesome! My fishing days are seriously numbered in June, with school out and all. However, I hope to put some numbers up quick starting tomorrow because I am going to my monthly trip to the glades. Fstr385, congrats.
We should all chip in a bag of baits or something and winner takes all, just a suggestion though
That's a good idea. If we got enough people in on this, someone could end up with a nice little supply. Lou, Id join ya over that way, but we made plans to make the long haul to Okeechobee again tomorrow. Really hoping to hit some of those 7-10 pounders I keep seeing people get up there.

man u get a few of those you could be looking at 2 months in a row winning
I'll join once I am back in November.
Maybe I can catch a fish this month!
Fstr385, good luck tomorrow bud. Maybe you can take a page out of Capt. Shane's book. Have you seen those pigs? I will stick with my fishing grounds I have never fished the lake before. I hope the rains have not made bass start their migration back into the glades early.
Sweet looks like we got a few more folks this month. My time is limited but we will see what I can do. No baby yet so at the moment y'all be afraid, very afraid bwahahaha!
Went out today and caught a 18", 19", and 21". Caught the 21" on a 10" worm in June bug. The other 2 on a strike king swim jig with a KVD coffee scented rodent.
I will upload pics when I get to my computer
So my total being 58"
Went back out to that spot this morning around 6:30 til 10am had 4 missed strikes and a nice 3 lb come unhooked as I was about to get it to shore.
I saw a baby water moccasin threw my worm past it and it attacked it, bite onto the end if the worm
I am going to go back out today so hopefully I can add to my totals
19 inch
18inch
21 inch, sorry about the quality I had it out the water for a long time and rushed the shot
3 fish totaling 58"
If snakehead count Im in, if its bass, Im still scoreless
If we allowed snakeheads you south Florida guys would kill us in terms of length, I'm from Jacksonville and I have never even seen a snakehead in any of the places I fish

My sentiments exactly!

I went bass fishing yesterday, and all I got was 3 stupid snakeheads! LOL! Here's a pic of the larger one from yesterday:
Finally I can put some fish on the board. Like I mentioned on Fri, went to the Glades yesterday and I managed to catch these fish. Pretty tough day considering how high the water was. In order of appearance. First fish, 16.5", 2nd 17", 3rd 16", 4th 16", and 5th 15". Total top five so far in June 80.5"
I just saw the pics and the order was reversed. Sorry.
Nice fish guys!
I'm hoping to put a few up tomorrow.
Went out to Ponte Vedra today caught a 21" and a bunch of smaller ones. Caught the 21" on a Yum 10.5" Mightee Worm in June bug. Same bait I caught the other 21" on the other day at my spot by bartram
Looks like its game on in June gents. MCS this is the week the baby comes right?

Any day now.
Those are some nice fish Lou. I always wanted to fish the glades but don't know anybody with a boat
MCS, best wishes. May baby and mommy do well. AK-NJ1986, thanks man. I lost a monster half way to the boat yesterday. Broke my heart. If you ever find your way down here to South Fl. send me Pm.
All I got were these. There was a tournament out of Clewiston yesterday. South bay probably would have been a better idea. Then rain in the early afternoon. 21" and 18" . Got a couple maybe up to 15" but figured Id beat em.

Well in that case you're very well versed in the art of war, errr, of child rising :-) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! What better way to celebrate than to catch a fish and win a tournament!!!
P.S. Do you smoke cigars? This calls or a "special" cigar. PM me your mailing address if you do ;-)

Thank you.....I don't smoke though but thanks. I probably will have a nice toast with my dad, laphroaig 10 yr.
Swing and miss this morning. 3rd time at this pond, nice aligator, saw fish launching out of the water. just cannot dial this pond in. There is limit access and trees around the bank. can't sneak up and can't really cast parrallel so just a new twist to my game I have to figure out. A buddy who told me about the spot fishes out of a canooe, caught the biggest fish of his life there so I know it holds them.
I'm about to head out and do some fishing before nightfall hopefully I can add some length to my total
Well this is great! I'm still at 0 bass length so far.. but Friday, Friday I'm going fishing for sure!!!
no nice size bass on sunday but did catch this

I live right off that canal. I used to live by the fpl sub station near the corner just west of that pic, now I live right east near 441.
Right directly next to that sub staion youll see a house with a massive brand new dock out back. That's my old landlord/neighborhood boat part thieve.

im in margate there in the way back off c-14 that part of canal im on ends at 441 near the hospital ..
Went out today to my spot caught a few small ones and saw the resident alligator swimming around but other than the gator no real excitement

yep. 3 of my 5 fish from last contest came out of that very section.
I broke my bass drought today, but snakes ruled again. Caught a 35 inch one and some smaller ones. Saw some with fry but they didn't even mess with my frog, even swimming it through the ball. I left them be. I have pics but am too lazy to upload, wish the site had tapatalk so I could just link from my phone.
Yea I wish I could just take pics off my iPhone and upload them to the site
I did a little pond fishing yesterday with light power spinning and topwater popper, lot of fun but nothing too big, 20-18 and a few about 12 or so.

You can. If you use fullsite on your phone, attach a photo down at the bottom and then select from existing album.
Ok, I did/tried that and nada......I dont think Ive gotten that to work in a long time

Gotta make sure your pic size on your phone is small enough. My trick for that is email it to yourself and you can reduce the size an then save it back to your phone album and attach it.....I got an iphone too, so I don't know how other phones work.

Wow this whole time I have been transferring the photos tot computer then I upload them to tinypic.com and resize them then I put them on te site, it's a very tedious process
I've been on this site for how long and I just learned something new... Thanks MCS you are always providing knowledge to people u are always looking to help out! You are a good
Man!
This is the 21"

Hey Diggy, I will tell you my little secret of how to catch a snakeheads guarding their young: I did this few months ago and it worked like a charm... I was standing on the edge of a canal casting my swim fluke with 1/8oz weight on the line along the bank to catch some bass. i look down and i see a swarm of really tiny black dots moving together, figured it was some bugs or something. as i'm standing there motionless just staring at it, i suddenly see 2 snakeheads come up really close to it, i figured they're about to eat it, but instead they just looked at it. that's when it hit me: it was the baby snakeheads. so i slowly moved my rod over the snakeheads, lower my fluke into the water, and run it through the fry. nothing. i even managed to spook the parents, but 20 seconds later they were back. so i figured i have to really annoy one of the parents, so i literally started to move the fluke right in front of it's mouth, touching the fish's mouth and head! i bumped the fluke off its head few times even, then i brought it right in front of it's mouth, wiggled it few more times and it hit it mad and got hooked! the only problem was that i was using 12lbs mono, and as soon as the fish went under the rocky canal's edge, the line snapped.
the other day i saw 2 separate schools of snakehead fry in my little canal and parents near it, running a top water frog through it didn't do anything, so i'm sure the trick is to get past the fry and in the parent's face. they will not mind you standing there, one will strike instinctively!
try it! good luck!
I know exactly what you mean, that sure does work. Ive had some where Ive had to annoy the pee out of them but I didn't feel it was worth it at the time, it was scorching hot yesterday and it was in direct 5PM sun. Im not sure if you saw the video I posted of my friend but he had to agitate that one in order for it tho actually bite after a few pity pat attempts.
I may try using a craw next time because someone has been having good luck pulling them off the bottom with them. I figure I can buzz it and bottom bounce it if need be.

ok, the pics are big since the resolution is mega huge. Tapatalk would make this work much easier as on other v bulletin sites if this sites format worked. I can upload them to one of my image hosting sites later. Ill mess around with the settings, thanks man.
Went out this morning at 6:30 caught a few biggest was 14" and missed a big one didn't hook it right lost it about 3 feet from shore.
Went out this afternoon around 5:30 til dark. I was pulling them left and right out the Lilly pads using a 7" senko but absolutely nothing of size they were all under 12". I pulled out 15 and missed a bunch. I went through 6 senkos.
I am going out again tomorrow morning around 5:30
Was out this morning over in ponte vedra. I had the worst luck today, i managed to land a nice 18" and a couple smaller ones. Now to the bad luck! I was at the spot where I caught my PB. My girlfriend calls my phone so I am talking to her then all of a sudden tight line I set the hook reel it in, while still on the phone like an idiot. I get the fish to the shore had to be atleast 5lbs I'm holding te phone against my shoulder and ear. I get hook out and then the fish starts squirming I drop it and my phone and the fish flops it's way back into the water! Naturally I blame my girlfriend for calling me lol. Then I went to another spot was there for about a hour all of a sudden tr fish crushed my frog. Looked to be about a 4 maybe bigger fish was fighting and jumped twice out the water and all of a sudden my line gets snagged on something probably a log or something and snaps. That's the 3rd frog that I have lost (2 in trees and one probably hooked in the fish's mouth still)
Went out to ponte vedra this morning around 6:15 and caught a 5 LB 22 incher. My new top 5 is 18, 19, 21, 21, 22.
My laptop is messed up and it says files are to big to load from my phone. I will post pics at some point. I am heading back out a little later hopefully I can get some replacement fish.
Finally got a decent one to post up on a baby brush hog. But tomorrow is my last day fishing for a while so I didn't worry about a pick with the tape, did a quick measure and she was a solid 19". Besides it looks like AK is the only one playing this month, but where are the pics bro? LOL NIce work AK keep it up you got this.

Nice fish
It does seem like I am the only one but I think someone else has 5 totaled too. I have been doing a lot of fishing this month found a couple golden spots where i see massive fish swimming around only got my hook in a few of them including two 5 pounders 1 almost pushing 6lbs.
19"
21"
21"
22"
21"
Total length so far 104
MCS, good luck tomorrow. BTW I think I am in the lead, only until AK produces the proof of his catches!! (LOL, just messing with you AK. I know you are having technical issues.) I have not been able to go out much which is what I expected this month. The heat down here isn't helping either.

Yea sorry about the picture delay. I have an iphone and whenever I try to load my pics from it it says that it is too large. So i have to go to a computer hook my phone up and transfer pics to a website to shrink em then copy em to a post... its annoying
What is your total Lou? I think fstr posted a few fish too not sure his total length though

Email the pics to yourself. When you hit send it give you the choice of sending fullsize, large, med and small. Send them med and then when you open the email hold on the pic and you can save it back to the album at the smaller size then upload.

It has been 90's up here, dunno how hot you all are below the equator LOL Heat slowing them down in your area too?
Been goin out here and there, but just been getting 15-18" fish. Im at around 90" with 5, but that's not good enough to put anything up.
I caught this 16 incher a couple of hours ago. This one culls out my 15 incher. I know they are not monsters, but if I wait for those I will never get to post and play. We have 12 days left, to make something happen. My total is 81.5 inches.
I know the fish is sandy, but no one said the fish were going to be cooperative to strike a pose.
I went to a new spot today in coral springs, it was loaded with bass, but except one, they were all rather small, 12-14 inches. didn't bother to take photos... BUT i have a new swim lure that worked wonders for me today, so i'll try it soon on my honey hole :-)

Lol I know they are worse than trying to take pictures of my kids! Every time i click they flop like as a person blinks in a photo hahaha
Heres another I have to put up..

Thanks. Yea Ive got 5, but Im only at 95" with them.
Fstr85, LOL, your last pic looks like its a proof of life photo with the paper underneath and the date put on it. Your modesty, is cool."I am only at 95 inches"? At least for me the fishing has been challenging lately. Then again I have only been out 5 times in the month of June.
I been in a slump, I need a Heat game 6 miracle within the next week to be in contention.

Man I am a die hard Heat fan and I was on edge this whole series. Game 6 was the best finals game I have ever seen and game 7 was a classic as well EPIC series
I was awaken last night after midnight, my neighborhood erupted in celebration after we won last night. What your seeing in the news today with pots and pans is no exaggeration. You could here it for miles.
Even when I'm trying to catch bass (using swim flukes, brush hogs, and lizards) I still catch snakeheads!!! Agrrr!!!
Well, I did get 5 bass today and 2 snakeheads, didn't bother taking the photos, they were all dings! Well, one was worthy of this thread, but he got off the hook just as I was bringing it on shore, I cried cried cried like a little girl
Im still striking out. I lost one of my northstar jigs to a rock. I then lost 2 fish on a wacky rigged senko, tried some new hooks, might me my fault how I set the hook.
I only fished for an hour under a shady area. This is my longest slup of my career. I may have to take up catfishing or move over to salt for a while. Between having a cold, some of my lakes turning to poo and it being so hot out I may need to find a new past time like making tackle vids on youtube.
Diggy, you are not the only one. I have struck out for the last three days. I have thrown everything at them. I just came in after fishing a couple hours around canals in my neighborhood and I swear to God I saw tumbleweed. It was a virtual ghost town. The only highlight of the last three days is I caught a pretty nice mayan cichlid on a swim bait. My fishing elbow has flared up a bit but I just can't quit knowing that bragging rights are at stake. But you know what? I think fishing is done for a while until this heat settles, which will not be for months.
