Fishing next Tuesday and Friday 2024

I have a large private lake that I would like to hit up with some of the guys from here if they are interested. Unfortunatlley i am only able to bring one person at a time since the owner doesn't want a lot of people on the lake and is scared of lawsuits. So I would like to make 2 days out of it. I will be off on Tuesday and Fri next week and if anyone would like to go let me know. PM if you are interested!!!!

Yea no joke dude!!!! I have the same problem with some of my other buddies to. Everytime I take off when they are supposed to be off they have to work... It sux but one day maybe when the kid able to go is when we will hook up haha

Since noone wanted to go... I took a buddy of mine out to this private lake I have permission to fish and we got out at first light. We began by throwing poppers and spooks. After about 30 mins when had already had about 15 LMB in the boat. My buddy was happy and said "It would be nice to catch a BIG one" so right on the very cast he said that he had a nice 4lber slam his popper. Since he had never fished out of a bass boat before I had to lip this fish since he was worried that swinging her in the boat might make his line snap. So I lipped her and got her in the boat. He took a pic but I do not have the pic availible right now... Sorry. But after that we were steadily catching them on topwater so I decided to try something different and I rigged up a 12" purple culprit worm C-rigged. My buddy looked at me and luaghed... Well after about 30 mins of throwing the C-rig I had a small bite.. At least it felt small. So i let the fish leave it alone and when I picked up on the rod ti I saw the line moving and I reeled down and set the hook. I fought this fish for probably 5-6 secs and he took off and my line snapped. i was using 12 lb flourocarbon and It FREAKIN BROKE!!!!!!!!!!! So I was mad as hell!!! I then re-rigged the same set-up and kept throwing it well after about 15 mins I got bored throwing it and picked up my other rod and I had one of ***'S TRICK STICK GREEN PUMPKIN/CHARTRUESE on a T-rig and I continued to slam the fish. I then tried the C-rig again and I broke off yet another fish. I ever restrung my whole reel with brand new line. I hope it was just that the fish was so big that he broke my line. Then we would watch large fish slam the top of the water so we put on topwater again and continued to catch fish. All in All we had a good day we boated about 50 fish in less then 3 hours and then the heat kinda got to me so we left.

Well I went fishing with Joe (a.k.a. Nitroman) on the private lake and had a blast. Joe I can not thank you enough for a great day of fishing. Oh by the way I left my case of worms in your boat, I guess we are just going to have to get together and fish again so I can pick that case up. I must say I was amazed at the beauty of the lake, we saw bald eagles (awesome) and beautiful scenery.

We started fishing early (6:00 AM) and we probably caught approximately 40 LMBs today in a 6.5 hour time frame, sweet. When we got there the steam was coming off of the water and the bite was on. I caught my best fish of the day within the first 15 minutes, a nice 6lb 13oz hawg on a Cavitron Buzzbait. Man what a feeling to catch a monster on a top water bait, the fight was awesome. Joe caught his biggest fish late morning on one of the new Strike King Anacondas that I gave him, it was a solid 2.5lb LMB.

I have to say I had one of the best times fishing that I have ever had. Joe is a great guy and I look forward to fishing with him again soon. Hey Joe, Briery Creek is calling our names, can you say trophy bass.

Crap I'm sorry about having your worms :-[ :-[. I didn't mean to leave them in my boat. But Thank you for coming out with me and it was a pleasure having someone so knowledgable about fishing to help me out. I have a tournament coming up out of Hope Springs on Wed night if you want to go.

You need to put a pic of that hawg on here as well!!! HAHA

Anytime you want to come out fishing you and your son are more then welcome to come fishing with me. Hopefully your son will be able to catch his soon!!!

I can't go tomorrow but I can the following Wednesday (8/20) if you need a partner. No big deal on the worms I will get them next time we get together. Try using some if you want, see how the garlic scented swim senkos work for you.
