Can it be use for salt water?

Answer: It has sealed bearings and if you rinse after each use and reel will hold up for most part

I cast with my right hand and reel with my right hand what side should my handle be on

Answer: If you want to reel in the fish with your right hand then get a right hand reel.

Answer: The reels are named for the side you real with so if you reel right handed you want a right-handed and vice versa

is this a good antibacklash reel? 1st. time baitcast user, tried baitcast 40 yrs ago and had troubles?

Answer: i would say so, i have 4 bait casters, this one is way less trouble then the others, but what I have found is its only good for far throws with some weight not the short stuff, and always be ready with the thumb, that's the key to a bait caster. have the thumb ready just before it hits the water, stop it with the thumb, let go and let it sink then reel to click it back, i have very few backlashes usually my fault, or the type of line used. hope this helps

Answer: Yes, set your tension correctly plus, for beginners, I found that a piece of electrical tape on the spool just below your longest expected cast helps to contain any back lashes to just the used portion of line, good learning hack!

Answer: If you real with your right hand you get your right handed if you're real with your left hand you get a left-handed

What kind of bait caster rod to pair up with this reel?

Answer: Any will do. I use a 6'6" ugly stick casting rod. But make sure it has the finger grip for casting. And actually, any rod will do even without that grip.

What is a good # line to put on this reel?

Answer: I put 6lb test monofilament on mine. Casts great with it. Not a lot of backlash once you dial it in.

Answer: 6 to 12 lb

How do I take off the side plate?

Answer: Push the palm side switch on the underside of the reel, and rotate the side plate opposite the crank about 1/8 counter-clockwise (for left-handed reel) or 1/8 clockwise (for right-handed reel), then you can remove the palm side plate assembly.

Answer: Not really sure. But its a great working reel casts as good or better than my Shimano baitcasters once set up right. No backlashes.

Answer: Yes it is very capable to use bank fishing. I bank fish and I use it to do multiple things. It even casts a weightless senko out about 40 yards. Pretty awesome reel for the price. Can’t go wrong. All though the paint is not very good.

1st impression out of box is super smooth. The feel of reel is excellent quality and great looks. Love how the side case has a release button to take cover off. Spool is super light and fits smoothly. Has real good instructions and detailed parts list. Spooled it with Runcl Merced hi vis ultra braided line and spools excellent. I will use reel and give a review after. For the price it is awesome and smooth I would recommend too anyone so far

I love the first one I bought so when my Abu Garcia bit the dust I got another one of these. It's easy casting and smooth. I use it for largemouth bass, stripers, and sometimes catfish up to 50 pounds and it does fine.

It’s really light weight, very smooth operation. I would not recommend for absolute beginners as it takes a little more practice to get used to.

I’ve spoken with others who’ve used it. They’ve recommend using it for heavier braid 40-65lb and larger baits with the brakes cranked to max.

I’m gonna be re-spooling mine to 65lb braid and hoping to use it for my frogging reel to chase some bass!

For the price point it’s an amazing reel in terms of features (plus I’m a sucker for the colors), just heed the advice above and keep your thumb close to the spool!

I had been wanting to try a baitcaster reel for years. I own 5 new ones I've never used. this one sparked me into giving it a shot, and I was amazed at how easy this reel was to cast. I set the spool spin to where the crank bait i was using had a slow controlled fall and stopped spinning when the lure hit the ground. in this instance that was setting 11. I then made several cast and retrieves without a single issue. NO BACKLASH that all the horror stories are told when using a bait caster. I was pleasantly surprised. I really like this reel, and because of how easy this was to use, I am now going to get out my new baitcaster reels and give them all a shot. First time baitcaster users I highly recommend this reel. I don't have the experience with Baitcasters to compare it with other reels. so forexperienced baitcaster users all I can say is this reel made a me baitcaster fisherman !

Was shipped this by mistake. (actually ordered Akataka Eagle) But tried it out and it's well worth the price. I have many high dollar reels (love Daiwa Tatulas) but got this hoping it would handle braids for topwaters. but it will handle any application. Don't know how long it will last but at the price who cares? Try it or Akataka Eagle (also sold by Amazon). Excellent for the beginner or fishing small lakes from bank where it's riding in back of truck when you don't want to beat up your $200 reels.

This reel has a great brake control system that caused very few back lashes through a month of use. Spooled up with 12 lb Flourocarbon on a 7'2" MH Shimano Clarus.. It has fastly become my main go to rod for throwing deeper diving cranks or bigger swim baits!

Second RUNCL reel and so far I can say this is my favorite of the two. Both are solid and great choices for the price range I mean killer baitcaster for $40 you can’t go wrong. Overall solid feel, smooth retrieve, and one of my favorite features is the clicking on the drag and break. Spooled it up with some 15lb mono and it glides pretty damn well.

Seems well built. Very smooth, spools line easily, brake works great. Only real issue is the weight. This is a fairly heavy reel. Can get tiresome if you have to cover a lot of water.
