where is it made?

Answer: I'm pretty sure China that's where it came from.. solid smooth reel for the money for sure. I have the 5000 and the 2000.. the 2000 is my favorite. Paired it with a skeet Reese 7'2" rod and 20 lb braid.. it destroys 10 lb peacock bass and 15 lb clown knife fish! So far so good I think I paid 20 bucks for the 2000???? and it's the first setup I grab.

Sooo I originally bought a 2000 sized reel and it was fine fishing 3/8oz lures and in light wind… action was smooth, drag fine and seemed to be a solid entry level reel to replace my Abu Garcia black Max’s… decided to get a 3000 sized one for a longer rod and 3/4oz weight for shore fishing… not sure if it’s a defect or something else but had nothing but issues with bail popping open, random bird nesting from the spool not winding tight enough… irritating to say the least… for the record I have 15 similar sized reel and setups… and I’m fishing the same conditions for the last few years…

I haven't had much opportunity to put this reel to the test yet, but the first trip out I'm happy with it. It runs smooth and quiet. I don't have much in the way of comparison, but it definitely feels more like the higher-end reel on my surf rod than the low-end starter reel on my freshwater combo. Small fish, zero problems. Hopefully I have something more sizeable to test it against on my next outing.

I got the magnus 3000. I really like the the size of the reel it fits perfectly in my hand. I love the anti slip eva handles makes it better to retrieve line. I paired it with 12lb fluorocarbon. Overall im really happy with the design and color of the magnus 3000. Will have an update soon on catching some fish.

Loving this reel. Especially the push button on the handle instead of a turn knob. I hate when I’m out fishing and the knob comes loose and there goes the handle. Not with this one. I love the colors as well. It’s a very smooth reel.

The SeaKnight Archer 6000 I use on my heavy action 7' catfish pole. I've been looking for a heavy duty reel for catfish . Here in the Susquehanna River the catfish can get very large and powr full and other budget friendly reel I've tryed in past just dont hold up. But the Archer did extremely well. The largest catfish I caught of the day was 42lbs. The Archer 6000 handled it like a pro no skipp of the reel gear during reel up the beast of a fish. Very smooth actually drop was extremely smooth also. I would Highly recommend this reel to the budget fisherman going after the big cats.
