Ceramic Pick-up Pin The ceramic outlasts other materials used for pick-up pins because ceramic is resistant to abrasion from high wear and reduces friction within the reel. A softer material has the potential to develop a groove in the pin, which cuts the line.	Built-in Bite Alert Built-in Bite Alert technology lets you know a fish is on the line using audio and visual indicators to alert anglers of activity below the water. Bite Alert can be switched on or off and the sensitivity can also be adjusted to match fishing conditions.	Dial-Adjustable Magnum Drag Built with more power than the original dial-adjustable drag, the dial-adjustable magnum drag has even more power to hang onto even the strongest fish. The higher the drag, the harder it is for line to exit the reel. The lower the drag, the easier it is for line to exit the reel.

How do I get my anti reverse fixed

Could this be used for bow fishing?

Answer: Yes this reel can be used for Bowfishing.

Answer: Yes just make sure you use a 10lbs or higher line

For me personally this reel is just too big and clunky to use. The cast is smooth and drag works fine plus it able to handle 20Ib mono line which is plenty for heavy fish. But compare to zebco other line up of reels like the size 30 I own which is much smaller and easily able to handle 12-15 mono and you can always use a heavy leader for any heavy fish which handles much better on your hand.
The bite alert sound you can easily create that same alert by loosening the drag on any reel so that did not made me think anything special with the reel.
Price is decent but these style of reel to be this big and can not handle saltwater because it doesn't have any protection to deal with saltwater so I probably won't be carrying this huge reel around to fish at any freshwater environment. Go with other zebco line up size 30 that can handle medium to heavy fish is better for beginners and pro.

Zebco was developed in Tulsa, OK USA back in the '60s and very innovative in the fishing tackle market. Their rods and reels took the complication out of bait fishing and hired many employees with a quality product until China started copying the design of the Zebco 33 and eventually forced Zebco to end its Tulsa-based operations and now all manufactured in China. But yet the quality control seems to still be there and this monster Zebco 808 reel is an excellent choice for big-time heavy fishing such as large catfish and carp. This is a super-sized reel and perfect for below-the-dam fishing for stripers.

Definitely not the late 80s early 90s 808 + 888. In comparison the newer reals don’t even compare. They’re not as smooth casting, don’t cast as far and make noises during reeling. Both of mine do it! Not happy with them

Typical Consumer : Not your child's fishing reel

Many people associate Zebco fishing reels (especially those sold as combo reel/pole sets) as primarily for children and I admit that's what I has when I was a kid. That being said the products were always reliable and easy to use. This is definitely not a child's reel. This is a very well made, very smooth operating reel. Designed for 20lb test line it is slightly larger and heavier than what one would use for sunfish. It casts easily with the press of an ergonomically placed button and has an easily adjustable drag. The process of reeling in very smooth. This reel also comes equipped with a bit alert - this allows the line to play out with modest resistance when a fish takes it. During this process the handle turns and it is clear that a fish has taken the bait. A simple turn of the handle and it locks in and the retrieval begins. Vey well made of a durable and solid plastic housing, this should last a very long time.

So this reel seems to work well, but you'll need to get used to it, if you have never used this type of reel! I'm used to using a spinning reel.
