Answer: My husband says the 2000 would be the best one all around reel. He bass fishes too. If you are catching consistently very large bass then maybe go to the the 3000
Answer: The best way would be to match your reel to the weight of the line you plan on using. Too heavy a line on a lite or small reel would not be efficient. Going the other way, too light of weight line on a heavy reel would not be efficient either.
Answer: I would go with a 2000 or 3000 myself with a 7’ rod. I use a 3000 on a 7’ medium. But the 1000 would be to small and 4000 overkill.

I'll be honest, I was very skeptical of this product.. But I have to say that this reel is smooth and sturdy! I've caught at least 30 LMB with this reel with absolutely no problem whatsoever. I would put this product up against any other reel 2x even 3x the price.

This reel is amazing and light weight, it feels like plastic but is actually a light weight metal, the ball handle makes it very easy to grip, and the smoothness of the spool is incredible, one of the smoothest reels I have ever had, I am only 13, and I still can get better reels on the market , but this is a good cheap starter reels.

Leo : Price is nice, reel is solid , bail is impossible to bail over with crank handles.
I bought this "off brand" reel simply because it matched the colors of a custom rod i built. I took the reel apart and it's built as good as the big boy brands, sealed great for water corrosion resistance , would trust in salt water even. It casts unbelievably smooth and virtually friction free, has braided line pad on the spool. Zero reverse is perfect, drag is perfect but, it's almost impossible to get to bail over after casting unless you flip the bail by hand.
I'm holding out hope usage will loosen it up and allow me to bail over in the typical reel in fashion.
FYI- my son bought the same reel in different color and it acts exactly the same.
It is worth mentioning reeling it in is extremely smooth and the line lays perfect as you reel it.

kyle frank : Cool looking reel, but broke on1st day of use.
Literally broke after the first use, didn't even catch a single fish with it before it broke. It seemed smooth and worked well for the first couple hours and then all of the sudden, it got stiff and hard to reel. Hopefully I can return it, but I hope if they send me a new reel it will last longer than one fishing trip. The reel never even got wet or anything.
