Answer: It does but the one I received doesn't flip very easy, I've had cheaper ones flip smoother than this one. That is the only real flaw I've found so far. For the money it's a good real and feels expensive. The wood handle makes it look classy and the fold down crank handle is an added bonus.

Answer: It will but it’s not the smoothest action, I use this my back up reel. My primary reel is a Daiwa Legalis LT. it’s very smooth and turns the bell over easily while reeling.

What’s the biggest line I can use on the 7000?

Answer: On the 7000 model you can put 20Ib line and 155 yards. If you use braided line you can probably use 25-30Ib lines. With my 2000 version max is 8Ib but I have 15Ib braided without any issue casting and reeling it in.

Answer: You must tighten the plastic hand screw directly on the other side of reel from the handle. That same screw you can loosened allthe way and pull the handle out of reel and place it on the oposite side . for left hand or right hand retreives

I bought this. When I close the reel, the line keeps unraveling because the reel doesn’t lock while the lever is in the down position. How to fix?

String this was really easy to do and this was my first time string a reel too. Casting with this reel was really easy and smooth, unlike my last reel. This reel has surprised me. Quality of it is better than expected and it performs great as well. It's really smooth and the drag performs as expected. Only knock against it is that it didn't come with a spool for braided line and the included one has no grip to keep braid from slipping. So you'll have to put a few layers of mono on first if you intend to run braid as your main line. Other than that, I'm really happy with it.

Broke on me while reeling in a trout. The inside was loose or broken because it could hear it rattling which caused the reel to stall and eventually breaking on me as I was trying to reel in my fish. Now whenever I am trying to reel, it just rattles and does not work.

I unboxed tbis reel and ATTEMPTED to mount it on two different rods. The thickness and angle of the mounting 'plate' (the part that contacts the rod) is too thick and at an awkward angle. This means it will only fit on certain style rods. The appearance and action is good, but if you cannot fit it onto the rod you want to use it with, that makes it all but useless. So beware!

Took a chance on this reel. Hard to believe that something this inexpensive could be so well made. This reel feels just as smooth as my more expensive Pfleuger and Diawa reels. Liked it so much I went Back and bought the H7000. Love how the Handle collapses, makes it perfect for Storage. I use this in conjunction with a telescoping rod for the purpose of keeping a setup in my car at all times. The collapsible handle makes that super easy. Would and did buy again!

For $15 this is a great spinning reel. It spins very smoothly and for my model 2000 I can put up to 30# braided line which is plenty for large fish. I spool on 20# braided as my main line and order the 12 pound fluorocarbon for my leader.
Like many spinning reel you can easily change the handle for either left or right hand.

I have been spoiling it every day for the past week. It has quickly become my favorite fishing reel in a small lake in the park, a reservoir in the suburbs. It is as strong as stone and the metal structure is very strong. The favorite is the wooden handle and the button on the crank. The button can be quickly retracted without messing up the screw on the crank. When used, it projects into the distance, searches smoothly, and has the resistance I need.
I am very satisfied with this fishing reel. If you are looking for a high-end fishing reel at a reasonable price, I think you will also like this fishing reel.

I used 12 pound fishing line. The first time after use, it would not do backward lock. I found out one of the screw was lose and fixed it. The second time, quite a lot of gear tooth were gone, so you could drag line anymore. I do not recommend use it for catching big fish - maybe ok for panfish.
