Q:
Is this saltwater reel?
Answer: I wouldn't use it for saltwater. Get the Ballistic LT if you want to use it in Saltwater as well.
Answer: not in the 1000 size. This reel could totally be used for saltwater applications, just not with a model that small.
Answer: These are some of the best reels i've ever owned, I don't see why you can't use them in saltwater. I don't fish salt water, but if you wash them down after using them.
Answer: It is not.
Answer: No
Answer: It's a great reel, but I don't think it was meant for saltwater.
Answer: No it is not.

Q:
What is the best way to clean the Zaion high density carbon on the reel?
Answer: Use Zaion high density soap number 43.
Q:
Are there two red stripes on the spool? Thank youl
Q:
Is the 1000 and 2000 the same body but different spool sizes, they have same weight.
Answer: I believe that is how they do it between the Tatula 1000 and 2000, but I pulled each out and compared. The reel body looks to be the same between the two reels. As you mentioned, the spool size/depth is different between them.
Q:
Is there a 1000 size? There’s an option that says “one size” and then 2000, and so on
Answer: Yes, there's a 1000 size Tatula LT. Model # TALT1000D-XH. Since a 1500 size doesn't exist its reasonable to assume "one size" means 1000. If its not return it.
Answer: The Tatula 1000D Spinning Reel Size is matched up to the ASIN B077SNQJW6. Amazon unfortunately has a poor option name "one size" for that reel as you already saw - you are correct that this is the 1000 size option. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Answer: There is a 1000D-XH
Q:
Do the 2500 and 3000 reels have the same body size? I realize the spools are different, I'm asking only about the bodies.
Answer: Yes. The frame is quite small for 3000/2500. And very light weight.
Q:
is this a 2019 reel? the same one they sell at T.W
Answer: This is the same reel that is currently sold at Tackle Warehouse.
Answer: I believe so. I matched the serial and product numbers before purchasing and they were exactly the same
Answer: Seems to be I have 4 reels 1 from tw one from Amazon and 2 from eBay they all seem the same eBay seller American legacy offered 139.00 if I bought 2 they accepted great price
Answer: Yes, and it's a great lightweight reel that handles braided line really well. That's what I use on it.
Answer: Yes
Q:
What is the correct braid size/diameter for the talt3000-cxh?
Answer: 8/220, 10/185 (lb. test/yard)
Q:
What size to they change the handle knob?
Answer: 3000 and up have the T handle
Q:
What is the "one size" model? is it a typo and is supposed to mean "1000 size"?
Answer: Yes, sorry for the confusion, but someone out there put the size in at "One Size", but that selection is for the 1000 size. reel. TALT1000D-XH
Answer: I have the LT3000cxh model. What you are looking at is the 1000 model.
Answer: “One Size” is really a drop down box which will give you six different model numbers to choose from... I have three 2500 size reels I use for bass fishing and am quite pleased with the Tatula LT drag system, weight, and overall smoothness for the price. (Make sure the proper reel size shows if you decide to purchase, tight lines!)
Answer: Yes, place it in your cart and you will see it listed like this.
Q:
Is the reel waterproof ?
Answer: No, it's not. For saltwater, it's better to use other magseal reels, like Ballistic LT.
Answer: Short answer No. Per the Daiwa website there is one crbb (corrosion resistant ball bearing) in the Tatula. It is designed primarily as a fresh water reel. You can always order a tube of corrosion X grease and pack all of the bearings in the reel with it to further protect from corrosion. I do this to my Daiwa BG's with great results.
Answer: Waterproof? No reel is waterproof. Fish live in water and water gets on reels. Resistant. Yes. Proof no. Salt is bad for all reels for all the basic reasons. Rinse in fresh water and dry after using if exposed. Otherwise a good rule of thumb is to not fish under the water with the reel. Keep above water. Or take up painting with oil colors. Waterless sports.
Q:
how can i contact this company ?
Answer: Customer service on Daiwa website
Q:
can i use this reel for salt water fishing?
Answer: I would step up to a magsealed Daiwa like the saltist backbay instead. I wouldn't use this in the salt myself. Or, spend less and get a BG and give it a freshwater rinse after you've fished it.
Answer: Check out the Freams LT. I believe it is built for the Australian market. It's mag sealed, and you can get them on Ebay for around $130. I have one and I have Tatulas, and they fish exactly the same.
Answer: Yes, but the ballistic would be the better option
Q:
What is the country of origin of this product?
Answer: China
Answer: Made in China. Still a very well made reel.
Q:
Does the spool on this particular reel have two stripes on the "inside" on the spool? I appreciate your time.
Answer: The spool is all black
Q:
What´s the difference between talt3000d-cxh and talt3000-cxh models?
Answer: the TALT3000-CXH can be spooled with 8 lb mono for 160 yards or 10 lb mono for 130 yards. the TALT3000D-CXH can be spooled with 10 lb mono for 280 yards or 12 lb mono for 220 yards. So basically what it comes down to the "D" stands for deeper spool and more line capacity
Answer: The 'D' has more line capacity. The 'D' holds 280 yards of 10 pound test where the 3000 holds 130 yards of 10 pound test. The 'D' stands for deep spool.
Answer: The CHX has a shallow spool, the D has a normally sized deep spool. The shallow spool holds all the line you'd ever need for bass fishing. It's especially suitable for running straght fluorocabon.
Answer: The d is for a deep spool holding much more line. All else is equal.
Q:
Amazon when will you start selling the dawia tatula spinning reel
Answer: Yes
Q:
What does d stand for
Answer: It's just part of the Daiwa Tatula spinning model number. This listing is for the current version of the Daiwa Tatula spinning reel. Let us know if you have any other questions
Answer: Deep spool, holds more line....
Answer: Deep spool version
Q:
What is the line retrieval rate in inches per turn for the 4000 LT?
Answer: The approximate line retrieval rate per turn is 39.1' according to Daiwa.
Q:
Where does this tatula reel made from?
Answer: China
Q:
Is this a deep spool or not?
Answer: This is the shallow spool version. It holds plenty of line. 150 yards of 15lb power pro super slick8. If like me you're casting bass lures you'll be more than fine with 450 feet to play with.
Answer: No. It's not a deep spoll. I wind it up with braid & fluorocarbon leader & am not worried about being spolled. Love this reel. Actually getting ready to pair it with my favorite pole.
Answer: Not sure, but it is a good reel

Answer: Yes
Q:
Would I be able to fit the 3000D spool on the 3000?
Q:
What exactly is Zion?
Answer: Basically a carbon fiber infused polymer (plastic). It is very strong and my spinning reel of choice. I’ve caught some big Northern Pike on the 2000 sized and it performed like a champ
Answer: Daiwa's proprietary carbon composite. Shimano calls theirs CI4+.
Q:
Is this the 2500 size?
Answer: its 6.2.1
Product reviews of Daiwa Tatula LT 6.2:1 Left/Right Hand Spinning Fishing Reels
Amazon Customer : Lighter then light
Have used Daiwa spinning reels for years. This reel is light has a great drag and is a wonderful addition to their line up
Amazon Customer : Amazing reel
Super light reel and the drag in it is really smooth to help control strong fish, i also have a shimano stradic CI4+ and this reel is on par for quality and weight
Rifles n Reels : Great reel but u can get 2 regal LTs for the same price
Nothing negative to say about the reel but it doesn't knock my socks off either. Regal LT is less than half the price, at least as smooth and just as strong. Guess time will tell which holds up longer
Frank : Shipped quick and we'll packaged
2000 series spinning reel shipped quickly and packaged well
Very light weight with good line lay
Provide follow up review after a month of fishing
Amazon Customer : Great reel, great price
Best bang for your buck: lightweight, strong drag, dependable.
Bobby P. : Very good spinning reel
I like it
gainedm : Excellent finesse bass fishing reel!
This is the perfect reel for a finesse bass fishing (wacky worm, drop shot, shaky head, etc) rig. I paired mine with a 6'8" St Croix Avid rod and have already caught a ton of fish of varying sizes on it. It is unbelievably smooth, and I just love fishing with it!
Ret. Lt. Col. A.D : Lightest 2500 on market and well worth the buck sixty two
I sometimes think I am holding a much smaller reel but when put to task, it shows up as a fantastic Bass reeling system. Hauled in a 30 inch Pickerel with no trouble, about 4 lbs and full of piss and vinegar. Several Bass all under 2 lbs so far. All whacky rigged. But I am sure it will handle a much larger Bass with the system. 7'0" MH St.Croix Mojo Bass and 15-lbs Powerpro v2 slick. great stuff. Almost as comfortable as my 7'3" MH GLoomis MegaBass with a Stradic ci4 and 15lb PP with shakey head. But I am leaning toward the Daiwa almost universally. Tying on new rigs becomes a semi-chore in a kayak with battle tested hands and age. I carry a minimum of 5 rods always so I can swap out a technique. 2 baitcast for Carolina rigs and two spinning rods. A fifth light weight panfish rod and sometimes two or more of those. If I had to rebuy all that gear again, I would get the the Tatula over the Stradic because of Price differential. Hard to beat little reel. If on sale, snatch it up you won't regret it!
Julian Curetti : Smooth and light but looks fragile.
Very smooth, has a strong handle, very nice appearance.
Load less braid than expected. Strong drag and I like that has the anti-reverse switch (Shimano is removing it on new reels)
I bought a Shimano Ultegra at the same time and is more robust, the Tatula looks fragile with some flexibilty on the foot.
Nice reel, I hope it lasts for long years.
david : Lives up to the Hype!
I own four Diawa reels and this is by far my favorite. I have the BG, Exceller, Fuego, and now this one! Its INSANELY lightweight and because of that, you're able to feel more on your rod. Drag is smooth as butter and its super sleek looking. I would highly recommended this reel, especially if you're able to find it on sale.
Antonio Gonzalez : Light and strong
Super light, plenty drag. With a matching rod you can make a 1000 casts a day.
carter : ....
Very nice feel, top of the line. Only problem I have had is braided line acts up alittle bit on it, not sure why.
Amazon Customer : Lightweight and excellent drag
Lightweight and excellent drag system. Used to catch a 18lb spring salmon with ease.
Rinaldo : Made in China
Made in china junk, i'm returning. Didnt realize this line of daiwa was made in china.
Amazon Customer : Lighter then light
Have used Daiwa spinning reels for years. This reel is light has a great drag and is a wonderful addition to their line up
Bloodpuddleohio : Lets get real, this reel is the real deal!!!!!
This is hands down the smoothest, lightest, and best feeling reel ive ever owned. I dont have one bad thing to say about it. I paired this with a st croix avid series and its such an incredible combo. For the price, i wouldnt even consider another brand or model!!
Mike Moo : Five Stars
One of the smoothest reels I have ever used!
Amazon Customer : Super light and very smooth drag.
I just ordered another 3000 size so now I have 4 of them. I originally found one on sale awhile back for 149.99 so I decided to try it. Now I have two 3000d a 2500 and now the 3000. I have been using them weekly for over a year and they are fantastic for Trout and finesse Bass fishing. I have even caught stripped bass up to 12 lbs. Xlnt reel

34Dave : My New Favorite Spinning Reel
Super smooth and light-weight. I'd definitely buy another one next time I need a reel. Daiwa has always been top quality, and this reel proves that point.
Amazon Customer : Super light and very smooth drag.

jdf : Smooth then broke
First day of use and caught a few bass, reel felt good. Thumped the line to unsnag lure and turn handle snapped off and fell to the bottom. Likely defect in metal handle but we'll see when I get it back from Daiwa.
N Peterson : Recommend this one
I use this for my walleye rod. It is super light and smooth. I downsized from the different 2500 reel I previously had to this 1500. Love it.
William : Good
I like it but little bit expensive
Mayhgen : Super happy with this purchase!
This is now my favorite freshwater reel.
Eddie : Spend a few more and get the stradic ci4
Reel is fairly nice, but looks and feels cheap and I do not like the non lack of an audible bail clicker. Reel feels like something is missing for this price range. Stradic ci4 is a nicer reel.
Buck : Light weight
Light weight, durability and yes I would recommend this product.
Amazon Customer : Light weight & smooth reeling
The weight & effortless turning the reel ... this is due to the bearings ... also the drag works perfectly " Great purchase .... reel is best for bass or crappie fishing ....
Mike Moo : Five Stars
One of the smoothest reels I have ever used!
Amazon Customer : Lightweight and excellent drag
Lightweight and excellent drag system. Used to catch a 18lb spring salmon with ease.
RTO : This reel is super lightweight. Lots of reels are these days
I took a shot on this reel because of Tackle Advisor's review of the 2000 sized model. I chose this specific model for the slightly larger and especially because of the shallow spool. I fish freshwater. There's less line capacity, but there's not a chance the fish I target will spool me. Also, I prefer a 3000 sized reel for bass fishing.
This reel is super lightweight. Lots of reels are these days. This reel is super smooth. Lots of reels are these days. However, this is certainly in the upper end of smoothness. I've caught plenty of fish on older clunky reels and newer less smooth reels. It's always a blast. I don't contemplate the pedigree of a reel while I'm fighting a fish. However, after having used this reel plenty I do find myself aware of the lack of pedigree of other reels I use. The LT is so good its hard not to. Coupled with a Tatula 7' medium fast, the combo weighs in just a click over 10 ounces. It feels like nothing in the hand. Line lay is fantastic with Power Pro super slick 15lb. I haven't gotten a wind knot yet. Casting distance is awesome. I wade, so distance matters to me. The retrieve rate is very fast. A huge plus. The drag is smooth. Not jerky in the least.
I have several baitcasting setups and was strongly considering a BFS rig. This was mostly due to the line management issues associated with spinning reels. This reel has changed my mind about making that choice.
carter : ....
Very nice feel, top of the line. Only problem I have had is braided line acts up alittle bit on it, not sure why.
William : Good
I like it but little bit expensive
John Taylor : Best reel ever
This is a great reel. I use it for a weightless worm on a medium power rod. It is spoiled with 15lb braided line and it handles it really well. Also this reel is super light, witch has increased the sensitivity of this combo.
Josh Gernentz : Niceeeeee
Probably the best spinning reel for the price.
Amazon Customer : Super light and very smooth drag.

Fishing Fool : So lightweight and so smooth
I just got this reel and after the first trip with it I have to say that I love this reel. It is so light and incredibly smooth. The drag is nice and loud and has a nice fine adjustment (easy to find the exact drag that you want, not touchy on the setting).
I could not be more pleased with this reel. It is expensive but I feel like it was worth the money. The reel acid test will be how it is performing after 3 or 4 years of heavy use but for now this reel is knocking it out of the park for me.
Gerard : Quality reel for the price
Solid reel - pretty smooth and really light weight. Drag is really smooth and powerful for the size. Great buy for the price.
Terry Teo : Very light and powerful. Smooth...
Bought the 2500 for trout with light rod and 8# braid. Was casting it on Lake Mead on a megabass 100 and caught a 5 pound striper ..a complete surprise as I was just testing the reel on a light setup...the reel was awesome no stress in the reel and pulled the fish in...just well made. Only negative was the material for the reel collects dust and it does not clean well after heavy use...still love this reel.
solomon her : Smooth
Good reel
Madone1 : Quality finesse reel for under $150 LT 1000
Spooled with 10# Power Pro Super Slick 8 and paired this reel with a Fenwick Elite Walleye 5' 9" rod and could not be more pleased with the set up. Balance is perfect and light as a feather! With reel mounted rod balances out level at the very tip of the fore grip. Drag is butter slick. Reel feels good in the hand and is quite sturdy for it's size. Intended use will be finesse jigging for saugeye with jigs ranging from 1/8 to 3/4 ounces and from my point of view this set up should handle the job quite well. Would like to add that if you spool up with 10# braid and use 6# mono to start for anti line slip purposes you will only get about 110 yards on the reel. This is fine for what I will be using the reel for but if you require more capacity get the 2000 series.
Tom : By by shimano
Quality product!
Hieu P. : the handle felt in to the water
tried to pull the hook of the rock and the handle felt off . light and good price for range.
