Answer: I would say it compares for reels in that price range for sure, its pretty inexpensive for what you get. I guess I would say the bail arm is pretty stiff, and that causes a rough start if you use the handle to get it to flip shut...maybe that will break in a bit after more use, but that is the only thing I would say is kind of annoying, the quality is still really good for the money.

This reel is very sturdy and appealing. It feels good in the hand and is made up of mostly sturdy metal. This makes it a bit heavy, which sometimes may be tiring, but it's not a huge deal. I also like how on the spool, there is textured rubber. This is really good for gripping line and preventing slippage. I haven't had the chance to fish with it yet, but the drag is nice and smooth and the reel has good power. Overall a great product with an affordable price tag.

First thing I noticed when stringing the reel was a rubber middle area that would hold the line. It made it easy to reel the new line without it sliding. I was a bit concerned about the weight but it is nicely balanced when casting. Definitely heavy duty reel and will last, it was very smooth when reeling in and probably one of the best I've bought. All in all a solid piece of equipment and cannot wait to try it out at the lake.

I ended up with the 4000 model even though I only really wanted the 3000, but kept it anyways. I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to reels under $30, but I have a few that I use as beater reels on some travel or trunk of the car rods. This reel is a really good value, and performs better than most reels in its price range. It is smooth but has a harder start, but that is probably due to the fact that the line retrieval is fast and works well. I paired it with a 5'8 jig rod I had and it worked well. I had no issues with it whatsoever and the spool grip for braided line is extra wide which I appreciate. I would say that on a 4000 it may work better for spinner or crank baits, but it did its job well. I disassembled it after use as well, there is not any oil or grease on it (at least the one that came to me) So I will take it out again after slightly lubricating it and see that improves the performance any.
I would highly recommend this reel as a tough and well performing budget reel. The bang for your buck is totally worth it.

This product was shipped fast. An when i opened it up right out the box so smooth. When i took it apart to inspect it i was very impressed on how the drag system is built. This reel should be atleast 100 bucks anthor thing that i like about the reel it has a built in guard for the spool so it does not get a ding in spool. I belive this will be my new go to brand. The last thing that i also like comes with a nice carrying bag very soft an comes with a peice of paper that shows every part that goes into the reel very nice if you have to replace a part.
