Answer: I have used my 3000 in saltwater and no problems.

Answer: Looks to be composite material . Not worth the money. The drag clicker broke so you can't hear the drag when a fish is raking out line. Only used twice .

Answer: There are lots of reels . Level wind baitcaster , spinning reels , but not closed face baitcaster like a Zebco 33 . You can put 100 yards of 40lb braided on most reels . Be careful though the braided line is very abrasive and will wear out your eyelets.

I bought the "3000" series. Right out of the box, it had a "sticking point" when turning the reel handle. I thought I might just give it a couple hundred turns and it smooth out. No such luck. Incidentally; this "catch" is ever constant right past the bottom of the handle turn, and occurs if in anti-reverse lock, or unlock. Inexpensive chance to have taken on the product but disappointing.

Oh wow, this is a really good reel. I have no idea what RUNCL is, but by God they make a dang good reel. The reel is very well constructed. The full metal body is awesome.
I LOVE the handle. It's not that typical junk handle that most foreign reels have. If you've ever bought a reel off of Wish, then you know what I'm talking about. The handle would have the weird button piece on it as if the handle was supposed to be in two pieces. This actually causes the handle to malfunction and/or break. It has happened to me a few times. Those handles aren't sturdy and are junk. However...this is NOT that! This handle is fantastic!
This is how good the reel is. I use it on a 12 foot heavy duty catfishing rod. If you want proof, check out my channel "Catfish Z". You'll see my setups on You-tube. I have the largest reel setup with 60 and 80 pound test on different rods. The reel helps cast my lines so far! This reel easily handles 20+lb catfish. The drag system is also amazing. I can easily loosen and tighten the drag. Who needs a baitcaster when I have RUNCL? Honestly, don't go spending $200+ for the expensive brands. You really don't need a reel like that unless you're fishing for giant sharks.

I have used this reel a couple times now in unfavorable conditions and it has preformed admirably. Two times out, two different poles, and fishing for two different types of fish, this reel was the smoothest I have ever used. Will definitely be setting this up for much larger outings this fall!

This is a great reel for the cost. Lightweight compared to some of my other reels, smooth operation, bigger than I expected. This was a great purchase. My only issue is that all 3 of my kids want to use it when we go out, may need to order two more of these reels. Will buy again!

The anti-reverse clicker inside the spool broke off after 2nd fishing trip out. Not really a big deal but the reel was for my son . He isn't an experienced fisherman so he really needs to know if his drag is working correctly . Reel still works great so far .

I am having a great time with this reel. Its a little heavier than I expected, but I matched it with a 7'0 mediumheavy rod with 20lb braid and it working wonders. Smooth casting, quite reel in and strong. For the price I give it a Bayou Boyz Outdoorz stamp of approval. I even caught a 2 foot alligator on a Texas rigged plastic worm.
