Q:
The 2000 is rated at 0.18 for line diameter. What pound test is the equal to? Would the 2000 be good for largemouth bass?
Answer: Thanks for your question. The 0.18mm in diameter equals to 20LB (4-strand braid) or 25LB (8-strand braid).

Answer: It couldn't hurt. Doesn't take much oil

I need a reel to fisf for stripers 10-15 lb frome the bank or a dock. would the runcl i tirian spinning reel work.
Answer: Not sure, have not used the reel very much. It has 44 lbs of drag, but is a small reel. I bought the 5000, because the 6000 was not available. I put 30 lbs braid on it. You might want a heavier reel for fishing around docks.

Answer: Fits great w/ my 7'6 2p MH Whisker Seeker. I think a 7' would suit it just fine.

Q:
Anyone have experience using these for surf fishing? How's it been working?Should I go 5000 or 6000 series for an 11ft surf rod?
Answer: These are made smaller than most reels. I bought the 5000 and they looked like a 4000. Get the 6000 so it would look more proportion with your rod or look for another brand if they don’t have anything bigger.
Answer: I would go with the 6000.. I have both.. Great reel! Strong as heck,,44lb drag, smooth..I have them set up on 8' Ripping Lips Supercats. I haven't had the chance to surf fish yet with them, but I have to 12' Moonsniper ready and waiting.

Q:
What is the difference between the 2000 and 3000 model I am going to be using a 12lb test line. Which one should I get?
Answer: Hello get the 3000 if you're using 12 mono. If your going with some type of super line you'll do fine with the 2000.
Answer: Based upon use of 12 pound test line, the 2000 would be the best choice.
Answer: About $3! Ha ha. There both basically the same. The 3000 holds a little more line and has a bit faster retrieval. It also will take heavier lines ( just in case). For the money I recommend the 3000. Good fishin!

Q:
Is the 5000 size OK for blues and stripers? I had a friend say it doesn't have enough line capacity.
Answer: I would go with a bigger size if you’re planning to buy this brand. Their sizes run small. I bought the 6000 and that might be too small for blues and stripers
Q:
Is this comparable to battle 6000. . Jigging for tuna
Answer: It’s a good reel but for tuna I’d go with the battle this ones a little to small
Q:
Show me the bearings.
Answer: No
Q:
could the 6000 be used for tarpon
Answer: I have used it on several Striper but nothing as potentially as large as Tarpon. I personally wouldn’t recommend it. I also have mine on a St.Croix 7’ medium heavy. One of the best rigs I have These reels are like butter. No issues with mine over the last year or so. Again I am a freshwater fisherman. Good luck and tight lines.
Answer: I have a 2000 and 3000. It maybe big enough I would not buy one of these again. I use mine for freshwater fishing. I find when I real up quickly it is not smooth and my line gets loops in it. The only way that happens is a wobble or speed changge.
Q:
is the 3000 model going to be back in stock soon?
Answer: Yes, the 3000 model will be back in stock within 2 weeks. Hope it works.
Q:
Can it be used for right or left handed people?
Answer: Yes it can. The handle can go on both sides.
Q:
Is this a real reel?
Answer: I have $100-$150 spinning reels that aren't made as well as this one is. It handles big River Smallmouth with ease and the drag works perfectly!
Answer: Haven’t gone fishing with it yet but liked the tight tolerances that were noted when spooling on line. I jig walleye and want reels where there is no slop or chunk going from forward to reverse. This reel fits that bill, we will see how it wears.
Q:
How is fit and finish compared with photos?
Answer: The fit and finish is actually better than in the photo, probably the nicest reel I've ever owned. Runcl reels do not disappoint!
Answer: Just like the photo. Great reel
Answer: Looks like the photo,, only problem is the bail sticks on retrieving your line
Answer: All I can say is this is a very nice reel ans extremely light weight......I love it!
Answer: Looks exactly as pictured.
Q:
How many ball bearings are in this reel I have bought others reels from runcl and they lie about how many ball bearings they are
Answer: Not sure but there's as many as you will ever need. Very smooth retrieve same as any other 10+ bearing expensive reels.
Q:
How much line will this hold. i have a 6000 runcl reel. i want to put powerbraid ultra durable braided line 30 lb
Answer: my RUNCL reel was broke when it arrived and I have never returned it or gotten to use it. I didn't open it right away but waited till closer to my trip and uponSorryI couldn't help you but I was gonna use mine with 50# braid for punching weeds in Florida.
Q:
It says 4 colors available. How do i pick the color?
Answer: Thanks for your question. The 4 colors are actually 4 models, hope it helps.
Q:
I have 30 pound spider wire would the 3000 be good with that line and for saltwater ?
Answer: I prefer to use the braided line. 3 strand, you choose your weight. I choose the 25 to 30 lb line cap. Iam very happy with this combination, Unless you have metal line guides on your pool, Id shy away from spider wire, as it will wear groves in those eyes and eventually leave a ware path in the eyelets, allowing other mono line to fray on those groves, especially on the TIP guide.
Answer: i fish creek. 10lb regeler line.4lb largemouth
Answer: Yes. I use 50lb invisibraid when I jig for black sea bass
Q:
what is best line weight for the 3000 and 4000
Answer: I use 6 to 12 pounds on the 3000 model.
Q:
What material is the handle made of?
Answer: The main part of the handle is made of metal and and knob is made of high density EVA, hope it helps.

Shane Coon : Makes fishing affordible
I really really like the quality and look of this product. I made an unboxing video for it upon getting it. I had to go out the next day and buy a matching rod to go with it. I can not wait to get it out and try it!
PTB : 10lb Red fish
First cast with my new reel and landed a 10lb redfish! Awesome!!! Love this reel! The drag is smooth and very balanced. We finished the day with a 28"Snook and 4 Sea trout! Slam!!! Highly recommend this product and is a great value.
William : 6000 feels smooth
Not light weight at all. 6000 feels solid and sturdy. Feels good. Can't wait to try it first. Then will update
Nabil Ibrahim : For light freshwater use only
I liked the looks and light weight But after using it for few weeks now it’s getting very rough and freezing as I turn. It gets stock as I pull the line out of the water It’s ok for light use only I don’t recommend it for saltwater use or washing the reel with water it will damage the bearing Price is too expensive for low quality reel
tim pickering : Excellent
Runcl makes Excellent products
X : Crappy reel, crappy customer service
I’m not sure what is all the hype about this reel with the high reviews. Bought this in July of 2019 based on reviews. Took it out once in August of 2019 for trout fishing in a freshwater lake. Tried to use it in March of 2020 and the reel is pretty much useless. There is so much resistance trying to turn the handle/or reeling in. Contacted seller around March 2020 and seller wants a video of it and or pics of it. Didn’t feel like it’s necessary since we were at the beginning of a pandemic and there are much more important things to worry about. Not only that, I believe it has a 1 year warranty as well. Should have just provide an option for me to send back and they can repair/replace as needed. Anyhow, one thing to note is this reel is not as advertised. THE GEAR RATIO ON THIS REEL IS MUCH LESS THAN ADVERTISED.
Sathiel : Great price and style
Super smooth and feels super strong. Can’t wait to put it to the test reeling in a big one! Used it and it is awesome!! Caught a 5# catfish and it was a breeze to reel it. Great gear ratio and drag. Got it dialed in and no issues. Casts like a dream with RUNCL Merced line!! Highly recommend both!!!
Michael R. Gordon : Titan Reel
Received as described and appears to be well made. Nice looking and will look nice on my Lamiglass spin pole.

Pretty eyes : perfect
smooth, well built, lightweight and very strong. perfect.
william : Awesome Reel!! Great Customer Service!!
RUNCL is an awesome company. Great Customer Service.
I already own a Grim ll 5000 and although most of the reel is plastic. It is very smooth, casts well.
When I received the Titan 5000 I was extremely pleased. The reel is mostly metal, feels durable and casts really well with 50lb Power Pro braid. I have it installed on a Rippin Lips SuperCat 8' Heavy rod. Makes for an Awesome Whisker Seeker combo.
I hope to procure a Titan 6000 when they are available..
I have only caught one fish with the Titan 5000 it felt great.. 19lbs Blue Cat.
Update..I now have the TITAN 6000. Beautiful reel. Haven't had the pleasure to catch a fish on it yet. I have it spooled with 65lb braid.. Casts great!!
Tamara Repsher : Fell apart within 3 uses!
This reel fell apart after only using 3 times. The nut that is supposed to lock the reel body came loose and can’t be tightened back down because it pops loose(stripped?)at a certain point. Therefore you can’t get it tight enough and the reel literally wobbles to an extreme amount and feels like it will fall apart. Really disappointed after reading all the good reviews. Very bad craftsmanship on this.
tim pickering : Excellent
Runcl makes Excellent products
William J. Sigsbee : Well constructed
Have not fished them but they seem well designed and built . Very smooth.
Stefanie : Not bad at all!
I enjoy the foam handle. It has a very smooth operation. It’s more smooth than my Zebco. The size is nice, I purchased the 3000. The weight is a little on the heavy side, but it’s actually quality so it’s to be expected. It doesn’t affect performance. It hasn’t fallen apart. I fish daily with it.
Harmon L. : Quality
Looks good, feels good, can’t wait to try it.
Ghareed I. Joharji : Great reel for the price
I did not expect this product will be very good comparing with the other product with this range of price and am looking for Runcl 6000 after testing 3000 model
Randy : Goo d reel, not what I needed
Well made reel, very smooth action, not what I thought I ordered. My bad, the ad showed multiple series (sizes) of the same model, thought I ordered the 6000 got the 4000, to small for my intended use, returned it. Like the all metal frame, I’ve been known to break the graphite framed reels.
H2ODrip : Broken from the start
Spooled this reel up and tested the drag and found out it didn't work at all. Took line off and along the way tested the drag with same results. Spooled it up again testing along the way, no changes. Too bad as the reel looked nice and was a nice weight. I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Heather Sanders : So far...excellent!
Purchased for my husband who has really appreciated the Titan II 3000. He says it’s smooth and well balanced. He easily hauled in several 2-4 pound bass with it yesterday!
William J. Sigsbee : Well constructed
Have not fished them but they seem well designed and built . Very smooth.

Kyle Harth : Great product for the money!
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this reel considering its low cost. Primary consideration when buying was the 44lb drag. That is a monumental increase over most reels and nothing compares to it in this price range. Primary use will be for alligator hunting. Those are heavy (up to 400 lbs) animals with a high burst of energy on initial runs. Afterwards, the heavy drag should assist in lifting them from the bottom when they hunker down. Most reels lack this ability. I have it coupled with an Ugly Stick medium-heavy rod and it is spooled with 80lb braid. The season starts in a few weeks and I will put the combo to the test.
Justin Snow : Good reel for the money.
I purchased this reel to use for a week of surf fishing in Florida and after a full week, this reel has held up nicely. The gears/bearings worked very smoothly and the drag was easy to operate even when I was hooked up. Definitely worth the money.
Katie : Great gift for the fisherman in your life
Gave this to my dad for a Fathers Day gift. It comes in a box but also has a velvet bag, so I put it in the bag and then back in the box because I thought it was a nice little extra wrapping. I did my research and this reel seemed to be a good one for freshwater and saltwater fishing. I do anticipate him to use it more for saltwater fishing though as that is his preference. I chose to get him a nice reel as it seemed like the perfect gift for someone who has so much fishing gear. He loved it. He liked the way it felt in his hand and he said he felt like it was lightweight, but durable. Red is also his favorite color so he loved the nice deep red and black enamel. I would recommend this reel to that fisherman (or yourself) in your life!
Thomas Peake : Surprised
So far all I would like to see improved is line capacity. As in holding more line. Only time and heavy use will answer about durability but for now I'll give it 4 stars.
Raymond D. : Spool loading incorrectly out of the box.
I didn’t expect to have to repair this Brand New Reel when I received it. The Reel would not put the line on the Spool evenly, only in the center. Amazon or Runcl should’ve replaced it, instead I had to get Aggravated with texts back and forth with Runcl. It’s a nice Smooth Reel. Repairing a New Reel out of the Box is not good.
Grumpy : What a reel!
I like to bass fish and I have many reels but first time on the lake this quickly became my favorite reel. I let my buddy try this thing and he wouldn't give it back. This thing has no roll back so when you hook a fare size fish that wants to fight it doesn't roll back and pop your line. Another thing it is so smooth. I love it.
brian : Great Reel
Light and smooth with 50 braid & Shakespeare's Ugly Stick Tiger Elete heavy rod
gregb287 : Amazing quality
i use with my medium light action rod. Reel is great quality. I use for saltwater fishing and it holds up to the elements very well
Justin Snow : Good reel for the money.
I purchased this reel to use for a week of surf fishing in Florida and after a full week, this reel has held up nicely. The gears/bearings worked very smoothly and the drag was easy to operate even when I was hooked up. Definitely worth the money.
Amazon Customer : If it had a big brand name it would cost another $50
I bought it in July 2019 and have used it many times since then. I've caught a couple hundred smallmouth, some pike, walleye and a muskie with it so far. Drag is second to none. Comes off evenly even when set heavy. Comes in handy when a big bass or pike gets out in the current and turns sideways to settle in for the fight. I have the 4000 size and I use it with a 7ft Med/Fast rod. I like a bigger spinning reel with more power in the rivers but something you can still cast lighter artificials with and make accurate casts. A casting reel doesn't fit that job description. I've felt no hitches or rough spots from the bail on retrieves. Very smooth and consistant. The one problem, at least with the 4000 size, is that it hangs so far down from the grip its difficult to secure the line with your index finger for the cast. I've never seen this before on any reel no matter what size. I don't know if the smaller models have this issue. Update 7/31/21: I just bought the 3000 model as well. Honestly nothing in this price class even comes close. It's tough and the bail doesn't get wrecked when reeling violently wobbling crankbaits against current. The other one I have has lasted two summers, thousands of casts and hundreds of fish. I just burned up a $90 Lew's KVD in one day on 31 smallmouths. The bail was wrecked. These Titan reels for $60 can handle a couple summer's worth of days like that. I'll buy a couple more.
Ronny Acosta : Light weight
This reel is not only light weight but fit perfectly onto my pole without having to force it on. Fishing lure went on easily and never binded. Nice to hear a click from bail so I knew its up all the way before casting. Nice grip on the handle and reeling in was smooth and quick. The anti reverse switch worked well. Wasn't able to test out the weight on this as I only caught small 1-3lb trout. Not to mention, the color on the reel is nice and hasn't chipped after having it for almost a month.
J. Gonell : Not bad, hung in there with the other reels I got
Haven't used it yet. But looks well built and small compared to the penn 2500s I got. I will give it a good workout this weekend, fishing trip
Update: took it out today. Let's just say, this is nice reel, 27.25" redfish, several dink reds, speckled trout, and two keeper trout's. That redfish wanted to take me around the world (I was in a kayak).. nice reel, did take a small dive in the salt water, rinsed off with fresh water. Will check tomorrow.. but I like it.. might get the smaller one too try.
Kenny : Great reel, handles big fish and big bait with ease.
I've used this reel for a few months now with 30lb 4-strand backing whatever leader I need and I'm impressed with the versatility. So far with the Titan II I've caught my PB Walleye jigging a 3/4oz jig/swimbait, several 5+lb bass on senkos, several catfish over 10lbs with big chunks of cutbait, and my best common carp at 23.5lbs just a few nights ago on good old fashion corn. Casts like a dream on a 7' Cadence MH, and even that tank of Carp barely gave the drag any kind of challenge. Fished in the cold, the pouring rain, dusty high winds, and now some much hotter days in full sun and the weatherproofing seems to be holding up as advertised. Good luck finding a better reel for the price.
Joe Ragz : FISHERMEN READ ME! Get the truth! **updated 9/10/21**
Update!! The reel did great. I cranked blues and spanish back in the spring so much my arms got sore. The reel cranked them up and over the rail with no issues whatsoever. The retrieve speed was impressive as well. 70 yard casts were back to me really quick. Would give it a thumbs up.**So here is why I ordered this particular reel. I am an avid saltwater fisherman. I live in central VA, but frequent the NC outer banks several times a year. Offshore, inshore, pier and surf. I particularly like pier fishing late april through june which is coming up soon. Today is 3/8/21. When the blues and spanish mack start to run good Im there. Anyone who also does this knows that your reel takes a beating using it as a winch to get fish up and over the rail. I have shimanos, abu’s, pfleuger. Not top notch gear but not cheap by any means. And its usually paired to a St Croix rod, or any brand rod that is a cut above. The absolute worst thing that will make me a Christian man cuss like a heathen and have parents ushering their children away from me on the pier is gear failure. That goes for cheap reels, cheap rods, cheap line. If I lose a fish to the elements, get bit off, etc. doesn't bother me a bit. I will breathe a big sigh bait up and start slingin again. But let my line pop for no good reason, the handle wring off the reel during a good fight, the rod tip snap, and you bout to see a man lose his temper. I work too hard and invest too much time and money to have that crap happen. Which it has. And it really has not been instances where I skimped or cut corners to save a dime. Anyway... the appeal of this reel to me was the drag tension rating. I hope to have no issues cranking up 3-5 lb spanish with the reel. It is fairly smooth. A couple more ball bearings and this could easily be a $200 reel. Its CNC’d aluminium body all the way to the rod seems rock solid. I dont look for it to snap at the spine too easily like graphite. I included a picture of the reel paired to a new Penn Prevail II 7’2” medium heavy fast rod. Should really get those Gotcha plugs to zig zagging good. Spooled the reel with 20lb test Sufix green mono. I usually am a braid man, but wind knots have gotten me several times over the past couple years, so for this rig I chose mono. The shimanos and garcias will be right there as back up rigs with 15 lb power pro braid. The picture is with a ruler and a standard can of WD40 to give you reference to the size of the RUNCL 6000 reel. All in all I have a good feeling about it. It does NOT feel cheap or crappy. Im gonna give it 5 stars for fit and finish. The bail flips over almost effortlessly when you start to retrieve as well. The proof will be in the pudding next month though. I will give an update.
Michael R. Gordon : Titan Reel
Received as described and appears to be well made. Nice looking and will look nice on my Lamiglass spin pole.
MN Mark : Not the quality I expected from all the good reviews.
Admittedly I have never tried this real as I plan to return it immediately. The reel appears to be nothing as advertised. First, they claim gears are protected. The first 2 photos show holes that sand and water will get right into. The first photo it is hard to see but there are openings next to the frame. I doubt this reel would make it through 2 trips surf fishing. The 3rd picture is something the description sorely lacks. 150m of 0.5 mm line. That translates to 164 yards of 25 lb test. About 80% of what a 6000 reel should hold. Pictures 4 and 5 are the reel in comparison to a Penn Spinfisher 6500. Once again it is about 80% the size of that reel. Like I said, I didn't use the reel but I truly have no idea where all the positive reviews came from. I own a Penn Fierce 3 that costs roughly the same as this reel and it is likely twice the reel this is.
consumer : This is a great quality reel the cost is low compared to other reels.
The cost is low compared to other reels.I love that it is constructed of machined steel and therefore stronger than aluminum. I will definitely buy from Runcl again and recommend to all my fishing buddies.
saad : Price and charging carrier are too expensive for this reer
I was thinking it will be bigger than this size its too expensive
If i buy it from our market will be less than this price any way thanks
tim pickering : Excellent

Amazon Customer : Do it! Do it NOW!
I was very impressed with this reel. Took it for a week long surf fishing adventure on Topsail island in October. The drag is very smooth and has a loud clicker. The hollow rotor design surprisingly didn’t let any sand down into the body(I was very surprised). The reel handle turns very smoothly and there is ZERO flex in the reel seat stem like most graphite body reels like the Kastking reels I own. This reel is absolutely rock solid and I will be buying more 6000 series reels to outfit my other surf rods. My one complaint and it is very minor. I wish for the 5000 and 6000 series reels that Runcl Would include an oversized t-grip style knob to get a better purchase when cranking in large fish from the surf/sound. If you’re listening Runcl... please do this and you will have the market cornered. Moral of the story, best inexpensive surf reel I’ve used by far. Better than Kastking, better than Penn, better than Diawa. Just do it, you will not regret it.
Lypiphera : Prefect for the fishing enthusiasts
I am avid Fisher woman. I'm always looking for a great deal for fishing supplies. When I came across this one I had to give it a try. It is an aluminum reel with any plus. It has 9+1 double bearings. It has aluminum drivetrain and brass gears for durability. What sold me was the carbon fiber washers, it can hold up to 44lbs of drag! Yes, I'm extremely happy with this reel. It only weights 8.8oz this 8s nowy go to reel over my major name brand ones
Gnome67 : could have been a 5 star but....
I used this a week ago and stripers are biting by the pier. After catching about 20 undersized fish, I noticed the handle started jamming so i inspected it and the handle came a little loose and the shank cover that is made of plastic was cracked. I asked the community on the item listing where i could find a replacement part but no answer yet. Runcl replied to me asking my order number and that they would look into it. That was a week ago and haven't heard anything since. I will update this review once I hear something from the seller.
troyst : Nice Addition to My Reels
So far so good. Shipping was fast and the little bag that came with it is a plus. Fished for about an hour without any issues, and it's got a nice weight to it.
william : Awesome Reel!!

Carl D. : Buy it
just bought it- gosh it’s an amazing reel. very smooth. forget Penn or those other brands. the only one thing i do not like is the reel knob . overall this is a keeper.
