Answer: i dont know? Power is not a problem for these reels in my opinion. I do have concerns about the size of the drag washers and the surface area of them. However, for the price, i suspect you wont find a beefier reel. Especially with the old school, a little slower gear ratio. But i dont know the limits? It feels heavier and definatley has more metal in it than many of the china made reels double the plusinno price range. If the drag is ever an issue im sure a teflon based dry lube will smooth the drag oout.

Answer: For small pond fishing I would use the 2000, I use it for everything and it works amazing. I’ve brought in everything from small pond fish to 24” trout and the reel is perfect. I have yet to find any beach or small boat freshwater fishing (in Nevada) that this reel can’t handle.
Answer: It Really Depends on the Size of Fish in your Bodies of Water. But in Most Cases, Fishing a Small Pond I Would go with the 2000/3000.
Answer: A lot of fish of different sizes can be in a "Small Pond". It is unlikely that a Small Mouth will be in a small pond but, I would say that either of the three reels would suffice. For myself, all around fishing I prefer the 8 lb line size. It is imperative that you get to know your reel.....the drag set and what rod to match it with. I would suggest something like the Entsport E series with two tips, a med light and a med.

What kind, what size, what water? I think this reel will live up to its specs but I haven’t hooked anything big enough to really test it yet.
Answer: I am sure the drag stopping power of 17.5 lbs will be plenty if the Steelhead is fought properly with the correct pound test line. Wishing you a very happy holiday.

I purchased this to upgrade the default reel that comes with the plussino combo. I am really happy with that decision, its buttery smooth and beefy. So far I have only tested it out once but it felt amazing out there, i preferred using this setup over my kastking baitcaster combo. Looking forward to getting back out there with it.

SodaDrinker : Do not even think about using it near Saltwater
The open spool design causes all the mechanisms to get wet anytime there is water by the reel, using this anywhere near salt water is a huge mistake. Used in salt water, completely rusted and bound the reel even though it was rinsed immediately after use. The cost is cheap, but not worth it.. spend a bit more, get a better reel, and use it for a much longer period of time.

I use this reel for saltwater shore fishing. Bought it early 2020 probably seen water half a dozen times. Began to lock up (imagine as if the grease has dried up). Still turn but it's sticky.
My dad and I have two Abu Garcia blackmax that are three-four years old. They've been used and abused and are still kicking butt (fish'es, of course). Those cost about $50 a piece.
My recommendation is dont go cheap with these. Spend a little extra (under $60, youll find plenty) and buy ones that are well known.

I feel obligated to revise my initial assessment after 3 weeks of use. I originally gave this reel a 2 star. I feel much better about it after using it. For the cost I dont know if you will find a better reel until you pay 4 fold or more. Ive used them for 3 week in the back waters of intercoastal, and they seem very well suited. I had a nice Jack on, and the drag was great (I did spray all the washers with dry teflon before use)! They are still a little slow at 5:1 ratio, and it matters sometimes, and a little heavy. However, the value is here. These things are built like a tank. Solid as can be. I now own 16 of them between 3000 and 4000 size for my charter fleet, and not one problem with any of them. Our team got into amberjack with ametuers one day, and they performed very well. They were really tested! Pretty hard to beat them for the cost I think.

Im skeptical they will be suitable for amberjack in the gulf, or salmon on the great lakes. I would expect a 4000 sized reel to be able to smoothly handle jacks, or salmon. I will have to use in the salt to see if this truly is a saltwater reel. This reel isnt nearly attactive to me as the photos on the ads. The sides have a cheap looking chrome plastic, instead of the all flat black, i thought i was getting. However asthetics and performance are different issues, and i have not put this small drag to the test yet.

returned after 1 trip. Great lookin reel. Only complaint is while retrieving the line very slowly for crappie fishing, it had tight spots. Either the main shaft was slightly bent, or a bad ball bearing. under normal retrieve speed it wasn't noticeable. 21. bucks can't believe the quality, looks and feel can be had for that amount.

Just used the smallest reel the past three days. Excellent value. Small and light but holds a nice amount of line. Reel operated smoothly and I am well satisfied. Not sure of the reliability yet but looks and feels solid.

I have it on a telescopic rod with a 12 lb line because I am taking it with me on my next trip to Florida to try it out there. I have put my normal setup away because I am done fishing here in Michigan for the season. This is otherwise not a setup I would recommend for this reel due to its size but I like the reel so much I want to try it in Florida.
I have pictures of it next to my other travel setup to show the size of the reel.
The other reel on the picture is a Pflueger 25 which is much better for travel because it is smaller and much lighter. The Plusinno however to me is smoother and I really like the push button fold for the handle.
I took the reel out only once before it snowed here in Michigan but I was very impressed with the performance given the price point.
I would buy this again and definitely recommend it for anyone that is looking for a very solid reel.

I had recently ordered a rod off of wish.com that I *thought* was coming with a reel, but of course I missed the fine print and the reel was not included.
SO, I hop on Amazon and found this PLUSINNO reel at a reasonable price. I had no difficulty at all spooling it with line I had at the house, and once I finally got the opportunity to take it fishing it cast with no issues. It was very smooth coming off the cast, and was able to reel it in quickly when needed too! All around solid reel, with the drag performing flawlessly as well. Also has a handy little button to collapse the reel handle inward so to take up less space.

Today I received the 2000 size reel I bought, and put 10lb braid on it with a 7' 4lb mono leader. I walked down to the pond for winter trout using spinners, Kastmasters, and jigs, on a 7' ultralight rod. (I caught just two Rainbows, about 12".)
The reel is very smooth and quiet in operation, and the drag is very smooth. I like how the drag clicks when you tighten or loosen - I think that's helpful in setting it to precisely the degree of drag you want. I didn't try any heavy drag settings, but it was very smooth on light settings. In operation I didn't detect any wobble in the spool. There is a tiny, almost undetectable, bit of endplay in the handle elbow, but it's not at all noticeable in use.
The bail operates very smoothly and closes with a solid click. It's clever how the handle folds if you press the button on the "elbow" of the handle. I don't think I've seen that before, but it helps when putting the rod away in a crowded rack.
On retrieval, I was pleased to see that the line was laid evenly on the spool "up and down", without building up at either the top or bottom. It cast great.
I've previously bought two other budget 2000 size reels - a Piscifun "Flame", and a Kastking "Brutus". These reels are all around the $20 price point. My initial feeling is that the Plusinno may be the best value. It seems more smooth in operation, precise, and solid than the other two. The Plusinno also lays line more evenly on the spool than the other two, and I think it casts further as a result.
Time will tell how it holds up. I have hundreds of hours on the other ones, and they're still holding their own. At 8.5 oz. the Plusinno is about an ounce heavier than the Kastking. I don't know the weight of my Piscifun Flame, for comparison.
So, it's a very good value, and seems to be very well made. I look forward to bundling up again and going out in the cold tomorrow with it. It would be helpful if Plusinno had more capacity information for lighter line sizes on the packaging and spool. I would think that many users of the 2000 size will be running 2-4 lb test line, and the lightest test and diameter they list in the capacity info is 6lb. I put some cheap 6 lb mono on for backing, and then added maybe 100 yards of the braid. I wanted to figure how much of each I could put on, and then count the turns of the handle, knowing there were about 24" of line reeled in per revolution of the handle.

It's cheep, seems good and smooth for the first several trips, then it turn to sh!t, I would not recommend to anyone who fishes often, will last a few months then becomes, sh!t

When I bought this reel, it was described also for saltwater, which was the use I intended. The saltwater designation has since appropriately been removed from the description. The reel looks great, reeled smoothly, and is a snap to tie braided line on the spool with no slipping. On my first two trips to the surf, the reel worked immaculately, and I rinsed it with freshwater after use. On the third shore trip, the crank was frozen solid, but I did finally break it free enough to use it (very hard, noisy cranking). After returning home, I broke down the reel and saw the bearings and some other components rusting fairly badly from the salt getting inside. I reached out to Plusinno support, and after documenting the issue, they promptly sent me a new reel. I loved the reel until it locked up, and I do believe that with only freshwater use it will perform very well. Great price, great reel, great looks, just keep it away from the beach!

Amazing reel for the money. No need to spend hundreds of dollar when this will do just fine. I've been fishing for 30+ years. I've been wasting money on expensive reels. This was a shocker at $20. Couldn't believe how good it is for very little money. Maybe they're purposely selling low to gain market entry. Whatever it is I'm very happy with the purchase.

I will say that the screws are likely going to rust and it will require more care than a more expensive reel to keep it running, otherwise for the class that I got this thing is solid and I am very pleased with the purchase. I would recommend this product and I would repurchase again if I needed another similar class reel.

There is no free floating slack in the line when you close the bail which is a nice feature considering the price of this product you would not expect that. Smooth and solid reel. My son dropped this reel in the water with the bail open. The reel was submerged for a few minutes while we pulled all the line into the boat. I was a little upset and thought for sure the reel was done. I let it dry out for a few days and to our surprise it is as good as new. Ordered another one today.

I read the reviews and they were all true. This reel is built like a tank! It reminded me of my Fin Noor reels with their all metal bodies. It appears to be indestructible. It's not for saltwater so don't make that mistake. I've been fishing with it on this manmade lake in my backyard. Smooth as glass and quiet. It's a good looking reel, smooth dull graphite black in color, with cutouts in the spool to save weight and gold trim give it a really cool Steampunk look.
It fits almost perfectly on the roof seat, and feels very stable.
I love the oversized crank handle knob and the quick release collapsible handle, saves space when stored.
While the reel is very smooth on the retrieve, 9 bearings will do that, they also ensure
the reel will virtually never wear out. The plus one bearing is a "one-way" bearing meaning that while retreaving lures or when strikes happen the crank handle stops instantly, there it's no slack, the hook is set harder, there is no sloppy feel that reels without the "Plus one" one-way bearing have.
At $20 US. It's a lot of thought, engineering, craftsmanship, value and smooth all sealed into this fishing reel.

I've been wanting to pick up a 4000 size reel to use in saltwater. This reel is well made and very smooth drag. It's not too heavy considering the size. Will be easy to spool up the braid since the spool has a knurled finish. I also like that the handle has a button to fold it over for easier transport. I've not had this reel on the water yet, but I have confidence it'll do great.

Very pleased with the style, and durability of this product. I attached it to my telescopic rod and looks and feels great. The reel has a nice travel and super smooth compared to some other brands I have purchased in the past. I'm not a fishing beginner, nor am I a pro angler. I just like to get out and fish when I can. No boat, no saltwater; bank only. This affordable reel lets you get your lure in the water and pulls out a fish if you hook one. Simple, smooth casting. Landed a 1 lb Yellow Perch and a 2 lb bass during my first time out with it. 8 lb mono, in-line spinner on the 3000 model. I just ordered a 2000 and 4000 model just to have, as they're on sale right now. Was skeptical about this brand at first, but it gets the job done.

I use this reel for saltwater shore fishing. Bought it early 2020 probably seen water half a dozen times. Began to lock up (imagine as if the grease has dried up). Still turn but it's sticky.
My dad and I have two Abu Garcia blackmax that are three-four years old. They've been used and abused and are still kicking butt (fish'es, of course). Those cost about $50 a piece.
My recommendation is dont go cheap with these. Spend a little extra (under $60, youll find plenty) and buy ones that are well known.
