29.6 Inches Per Turn - Fastest Spincast Ever With every revolution of the handle, Zebco's Bullet spincast reel retrieves an astonishing 29.6 inches of line making it the fastest spincast ever. The extremely quick retrieve rate allows anglers to be able to fish using techniques that are typically limited to spinning or baitcast reels. | Revolutionary ZeroFriction Dual-Bearing Supported Pick-Up Pin The Revolutionary ZeroFriction dual-bearing supported pick-up pin allows for higher crank power using bearings to rotate the pick-up pin to move with the line, decreasing friction. | Oscillating Quick-Change Spool The oscillating quick-change spool is best for easily switching out spools to put new line on your reel without the hassle of re-spooling. The oscillation evenly distributes line without stacking or bunching, allowing the spool to hold more line. |

Questions about Zebco Bullet Spincast Fishing Reel, Size 30 Reel, Fast 29.6 Inches Per Turn, GripEm All-Weather Handle Knobs, Pre-Spooled with 10-Pound Zebco Fishing Line
Q:
can i use 20lb test line on it
Answer: Yes we do use 20 lb braid line ..
Q:
Why is the Zebco bullet spincast reel cheaper on Bass pro then it is here
Answer: Its not, bass pro was 99.99 when I bought mine, Amazon is around 82.50
Q:
Why is it so expensive?
Answer: Better more durable gears, much faster--reel in a lot more line with each turn of the handle.
Q:
How much 40# mono will it hold? Thanks
Answer: If 40# refers to 40 pound test I can only say it came with 10 pound test and so I don't believe it would hold very much. I gave this to a friend as a gift and she is very, very particular about her gear and it's now one of her favorites. And she's caught some pretty big fish with it. Just saying.
Answer: This is a very well designed real and while i do not know the exact number of yards that might be spun on this reel i am quite confident that it would be equal or above reels in this class. This reel truly redifines quality. In summary ... how much mono #40? Surley enough????.
Answer: This is not the reel you want to use bailing wire on... you may want a size 40 or 4000 spinning reel for what you want to do... I would not go over 12 lb test on this reel to get the performance you want
Answer: 40 lb test is a bit of over kill for this size reel. This size of line would greatly diminish the amount you could spool on it. Your better off looking for a spinning or baitcasting reel to handle that size of line and what ever kind of fish species your after
Answer: I put about 55yds on mine just for you
Q:
Does this reel have a bait alert switch like the 33s?
Answer: Not that I am aware of. I bought mine about a year ago and installed it on a 7 foot medium St. Croix Bass Mojo graphite rod. The reel has performed very well for me. The high retrieval rate is a real benefit. The only negative is that the reel is heavy.
Q:
Has anyone caved in the push button while casting on this reel?
Answer: been using mine for over a year and have not had that problem!
Q:
Maximum line size?
Answer: I’m running 30lbs braid and use it for channel cats. Pair it up with a M, MH, or H Ugly Stik and go for it. I got a second one just for lighter tackle and using it on a MHX 7’ M rod. That one works great from 1/8oz beetle spins on up.
Answer: You can go with a mono up to a 12-15 lb. I have 20 lb. braid on mine (a smaller diameter than mono). I LOVE this reel!! I have $200 bait casting and spinning rigs.....and the Bullet is my favorite. BUY IT NOW!!!!!
Q:
With trigger?
Answer: An odd question unless you are referring to the rod choice. This reel is best used on a trigger type reel seat. Either pistol grip or straight grip would be fine. It's always best to try any reel on it's intended rod to be sure of the right fit and grip.
Answer: soft button
Q:
What weight line does it come with?
Answer: 10 LB. monofilament. I put 20LB braided on mine and it works great. I was able to match cast for cast with my brothers $200 bait cast reel and had zero backlash all day. Best reel I've ever had. It's a Zebco 33 hybrid.
Answer: I believe it's 10lb. Not a 100% sure.
Answer: 12lb
Answer: Thank you for your message and question. The line weight for the Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel is: 10 lbs. Thank you! Carlos @ Haddrells Point
Answer: 10
Answer: It did not state anywhere in the instructions/paperwork. But by the looks of it, I would have to say at least 8 but no more than 10 lbs.
Answer: I believe mine came with 10 lb test, although it is spider wire and very strong.
Answer: 10 pound red cajon
Q:
Why is the line red?
Answer: Supposedly, the color red drops out first in the water column rendering the line virtually invisible...so I've read anyway!
Answer: Red is at at the end of the color spectrum. it is the first color to become invisible as you pull away from it. Blue/green stays visible longer. I think the theory is that the fish don't see the line so you catch more fish!
Answer: The color makes it more visible in the water, you can track your lure easier. It's a long debate on if it is visible to fish, but it is easy enough to change out line. It even comes with an extra spool so you could try it both ways.
Q:
can you use 30 lb braid line on the bullet
Answer: My recollection is that you should not use braided line on the bullet
Answer: I have had one for five years and I have always used 20 pound braid with no problem
Answer: Braid line should not be used it will tangle!
Answer: Not sure.only used the line that came with it
Answer: I wouldn't I don't think there's enough room on it but you can always check zebco.com
Q:
Why is it advertised for $99.95 and when i put in cart it becomes 109.95?
Answer: Hello we are selling the reel for 99.95 I assume the other charge is for tax for the state you live in.
Q:
I have misplaced my instructions, how do i change the spool?
Answer: Twist it apart.
Q:
I’m getting a custom 10 ft crappie pole made and i was wondering if the zebco 310bx3 would be a reel for it?
Answer: Over kill. I’d rather use a Zebco Micro 33 (or RL11) or a spinning reel like one of the smaller Pflueger Presidents.
Answer: This reel is a very fast reel we wouldput it up to any spinning reel and it would beat it. Very heavy made and excellent quality
Answer: In my opinion this reel is too heavy for Crappie. I think it is better suited for bass fishing
Q:
what is the size of reel in inches?
Answer: This reel is 6 in in length
Q:
Is this a good reel for the small hands of a 4 year old?
Answer: No it is a great reel but a 4 year old will find it heavy and cumbersome. I would suggest a Z07.
Answer: It's a very nice reel. It's worth the money not sure if i would let a 4 year use it. I have had the button stuck before and i lost the rod and reel. I own 4 of them and love them
Answer: Absolutely not. Too heavy for a young child. A regular 33 is probably close to half the weight. The Bullet is an outstanding reel for once they get older. Say teens.
Answer: no it is heavy for a reel I have smaller omega or regular zebco
Answer: Easy to use. Maybe a little heavy compared to others.
Answer: No, it is a bigger, heavy spincast
Q:
What’s the gear ratio?
Answer: Thank you for your message and question. The Gear Ratio for the Zebco Bullet Spincast Reel is: 5.1:1. Thank you! Carlos @ Haddrells Point
Answer: 5:1
Q:
how many yards of 6 pound test mono will it hold?
Answer: It comes with 90 yards of 10#. I looked it up and does not give any for sure number on 6#. I would guess it at about 150-165 of 6#
Answer: The box it came in says 85 yards of 10 lb. So it should hold somewhere around 120 yards of 6 lb line.
Answer: I believe I put 100 yards on it I do know it’s a nice real for a regular fisherman just be careful not to bump retrieve handle when casting since small movement is magnified and cause stopped line but otherwise awesome real
Q:
Is there a particular style rod that you'd recommend for the Zebco Bullet Reel?
Answer: You need a spin cast rod preferably 6.5 ft. - 7 ft. The stiffness of the rod depends on the type of fish you are catching. Medium heavy works for a variety of fish. This is a solid reel with a fast retrieval ratio, it's definitely worth investing in a quality rod
Answer: I would recommend a 6-61/2 ft medium action baitcasting rod.
Answer: I Used a 7ft rod a Quantum Prism. It has a great feel and quality and they back there products for a year.
Answer: I put mine on a 6'8" Falcon Coastal medium action.
Answer: try a midweight spincast or baitcast with a fast tip

Answer: 10
Answer: It did not state anywhere in the instructions/paperwork. But by the looks of it, I would have to say at least 8 but no more than 10 lbs.
Answer: I believe mine came with 10 lb test, although it is spider wire and very strong.
Answer: 10 pound red cajon
Q:
Is this reel blue?
Answer: Thank you for your message and question. This reel is black in color. The lighting in the picture casts a bluish hue. Thank you! Carlos @ Haddrells Point
Answer: It is black, but looks blue in the lighting on the picture
Answer: It is black
Answer: It is really more of a dark charcoal gray. Almost black
Answer: No. I have 2 and they are both black.
Q:
Can you use braided line on it
Answer: Zebco recommends staying within about a 2 lb variance. For braided line they recommend 30 pound which is about 8 lb monofilament diameter
Q:
Can you get single handle? Always have troubke with second handle getting in way
Answer: I am sure you couldorder one but onlythe 2 handle comes on it
Q:
What the fast I can get this
Answer: Speed of light.
Q:
Is this the reel that actually cost $99.00?
Answer: Yes Due to the quality is it worth that price probably not but it’s the best spin cast reel I’ve ever used so you are paying for a spincast reel that’s in pare with bait casting reels
Q:
Will it standup to saltwater fishing??
Answer: We used ours in saltwater, but then cleaned it really well when we were done. I don't think it's made for saltwater. Love this reel though
Q:
Foes this reel come in different sizes?
Answer: Not to my knowledge.
Q:
Will this reel hold up in salt water use?
Answer: I have no idea if it holds up to salt water. It help up very well in freshwater although I lost a few fish and lures due to not having the drag set correctly 'in the moment'.
Answer: I only use it in fresh lake water, but if you rinse it after use in salt water i see no problems.......
Answer: As long as it is rinsed each time after use
Q:
can you cast far with this reel?
Answer: Casting distance is dependent on the line size & type and the weight and physical size of the lure. The length of the fishing rod also controls the distance. I use 10# Fluorocarbon for worms, and spinner baits with lure weights from 3/16 oz to 1/2 oz. I use a 6'-6" rod, and overall the Bullet is better than most spin cast reels, and equal to most spinning reels. I will probably not use line heavier than 10# mono or fluorocarbon, and I don't have much luck with braid on spin cast and spinning reels, but 10# Berkley Fireline might work, land it over tests its rated beak point.
Answer: O yea that’s what this reel shines at long cast and FAST retreating. Its not for the person with smallish hands this reel is large hard to palm it !!
Answer: Yes a Very nice Reel, Unbelievable that zebco came outwith this kind of reel,,
Answer: Yes the bullet outcast all three of my bait casters reels.
Answer: With a light lure I cast about 50 yards max.
Answer: Absolutely and it is smooth on return. This is my second bullet, highly recommend.
Q:
Does it come with line on it
Answer: Yes it is spooled with 10lb and the extra spool has 10lb too.
Q:
How would you compare this to the old Zebco 33?
Answer: The BX-3 is same size as the 33. It is a really nice reel! Much better than the 33 but your paying more money for the quality
Answer: The bullet is higher quality and much better drag system, but all this at the cost of a lot of weight. I returned mine for this reason. The old 33 is still the best bang for the buck, but the drag needs improvement.
Q:
How good or bad does the drag work? All the closed spin cast reels I have had in the past leave much to be desired in this regard.
Answer: It works very well with this reel.
Q:
why is this zebco bullet in blue by big rock sports 84.95 4.3 stars and a black one by zebco for 99.95 w/5 stars
Answer: The zebco bullet is not blue it
Answer: Check Zebco website for clarification. Black is the reel color that I have seen at loc ad l retailers.
Q:
Is this a right hand return? Thank you
Answer: Yes, the one as shown , also it could be made for left hand return . Just by swapping the handle to the other side
Answer: it can be left or right handed the handle switches to either side
Answer: The reel comes setup for right hand retrieve, but I believe it can be changed to left hand. Most likely can check Zebco’s website to know for sure
Answer: Comes right handed, but it can be switched over to a left hand.
Answer: It works right or left
Answer: Yes. I reel in with my right hand. But I think you can switch the handle to the other side.
Answer: Yes. Just by putting the handle on the other side. Most reels will allow for this modification.
Q:
Does this real come in any other sizes?
Answer: Not to my knowledge.
Q:
Is the handle on the zebco omega zo3 interchangeable with the zebco bullet?
Answer: They are different, but may interchange... the bullet one is bigger
Q:
How good does it cast braid and what kind of braid would you reccomennd?
Answer: I'm sorry. Braided line is not recommended for a spin cast reel. I'm running 12 lb. Berkley fluorocarbon line currently. I would like to have a little heavier line since I fish for bass with this set up. When I went from the factory supplied 8 lb. to this, I could feel the heavier drag when casting. I run a Sufix 15 lb. ProMix braid with a Mitchel 505 reel. Both of these reels are on medium heavy St. Croix poles.
Answer: It's the best reel of It's kind by far. It cast very well and retrieves excellent. 10lb or 12lb braid does the trick. I prefer 8lb for what i do with it. I love the new line of zebco reels. Keep up the good work ????
Answer: I use 15 lb. Power pro braided line. Casts very smoothly. Use mine in Florida surf fishing as well as general fishing. Have it on a 7ft med Shakespeare elite ugly stick rod.
Answer: If you get away with out a tangle you will have a good time. but if it does tangle get a different rod and reel out because it will take a lot of time and patience with braid clippers go with a solid monofilament no higher than 14 lbs test
Answer: It cast great, but I am not a fan of braid! The reel is great!
Answer: Don’t know. I put flurocarbin on mine. I only use braid on bait cast reels.
Answer: The company doesn't recommend braid and generally braid doesn't work real well in closed face reels. I've tried it and it compacts down to tight. I use a very low stretch monofilament line and have no problems with it.
Answer: Got this for a friend and he loves it and has asked me to order him another one he said that it works great
Q:
Where can I buy thumb cover
Answer: NA
Q:
Can you use this real in saltwater?
Answer: Yes
Q:
Does this rell come with Red cover
Answer: no cover included with mine
Answer: no, only seen as pictured. I have 2 using 17lb line for catfishing. Excellent retrieval speed and no casting issues. Best Zebco reel I ever owned. I like the Omega reel for lighter line Bream fishing. Have not tried this reel for lighter weight line.
Answer: it looks just like its does in the picture! It is black with the silver stripes on it. I have been using mine for quiet awhile and it is wonderfull. Recommend it highly!
Answer: Mine was black without silver highlights
Answer: no
Q:
Whats the warranty or return policy on this item?
Answer: I tried it and returned it with no problems.
Q:
What is the product difference between One size @ $ 82.53 & Pack of one @ $ 218.99
Answer: Do not know exactly what is referenced here.
Q:
Will this reel in about a 8lb bass smoothly?
Answer: Yes it’s a high quality reel

Answer: I believe mine came with 10 lb test, although it is spider wire and very strong.
Answer: 10 pound red cajon
Q:
Can you use light worms with small spinners
Answer: I may not understand the question right, but I believe that this reel should not have a problem casting small worms with spinners. It may be advisable to apply a little extra lubrication to the gears that allow the spool to spin for extremely light weight lures.
Q:
how does it cast? whole in front is small looking.overly small
Answer: I have 2 of these reels for more than a year. They cast great and can brake if necessary. Fast retrieve compared to 808 that I used in the past. I use catfishing with 17lb line. Does not hold as much line but LIGHTER than my other catfishing reels. Tingle free and best Zebco reel since Prostaff. I thinking of getting a third.
Answer: Myself and brother are avid fisherman and we never wanted a spin cast. I bought one of these for my son and it is the smoothest cast I think I have ever felt. I bought two more, one for myself. It is my main pole pole now. It is shocking how a spin cast reel can be this good.
Answer: It is a very heavy reel and does not cast very well. It will probably last me a lifetime due to not using it.
Answer: It un-spools from under the cap. That hole allows it to unspool evenly, & aligns the line with eyes on your rod for farther casting.
Answer: It casts as well as a good open faced spinning reel. I have three Bullets
Answer: Cast great with correct line
Answer: Casts great best zebco I have ever owned
Q:
Can anyone recommend a specific good breakdown rod (3-4 sections) that would work with this reel?
Answer: No it is a heavy rod. You will have to put it on a rod and test it yourself.
Q:

Product reviews of Zebco Bullet Spincast Fishing Reel, Size 30 Reel, Fast 29.6 Inches Per Turn, GripEm All-Weather Handle Knobs, Pre-Spooled with 10-Pound Zebco Fishing Line
Amazon Customer : Best, fastest reel I have ever used
This reel is incredible. I cannot imagine fishing with anything else. I kayak fish, so reliability is very important. And it reels in faster than anything I have ever seen
Jack T. : Quit working after 1 month.
This lasted about a month and the push button turned sideways rendering it useless. I can't get it apart to even look at the problem. Took it to Bass Pro Shop and they refused to repair. Be careful with this junk!!!
Adam Hill : I would definitely recomend
Great reel. I used it all summer and waited to do a review. It casts as far as any baitcast, and reels smoothly. I love it.
Michelle Stone : I have four and am ordering another, great reel!
These are hands down the best reels I've ever used. I've been using them for two years and no problems at all. Outcasts any reel on the market for distance and "smoothness." In my opinion, it makes all other reels obsolete. Very easy to use for beginners and seasoned veterans as well. I have four of them and am ordering another right now for my arsenal of poles. It is very hard to use any other reel once you've used this one--love it. It is a very heavy quality reel, but balances well and does not feel heavy at all while casting.
ffinstructor2 : Gone through 5-33's,but not this One!
Purchased for my Grandson, he was always going through a 33 by wearing out the ball bearings. it is going on a whole season of fishing, and starting a second summer of fishing without any problems from this reel. Thanks Zebco, for keeping a 6 year Old so happy!
S. Armstrong : Meh. Had high hopes. Lifelong Zebco fan let down.
Just not impressed at all with this reel. First and foremost, whoever was in charge of development should’ve handed the reel back to the designers when the first prototype hit their hands. Until this thing loses about 40% of its weight, the rest of the story doesn’t even matter. It’s so heavy it literally spins the rod over in my hand when I’m casting sometimes. Weight aside, it’s just not a very smooth reel. It doesn’t operate nearly as good as it looks. It’s rough to engage the spooler, it’s a little gritty when reeling, and it’s a pain to take apart to clean. All it has going for it is speed, but it’s not really that much faster than a 33 platinum and doesn’t really feel like much higher quality. Save your money and get the 33 Platinum, or spend $20-30 more and get a decent baitcaster if you need the speed. Mine is going back and a Shimano SLX XT is on its way. This thing is basically Zebco’s beta test for pro speed reels. If you want to blow $100 to be a tester, go for it, but don’t think this can be a primary reel. Your arm will wear out long before the fish quit biting for the day.
Jane Schrand : It works great
I love it
Mike Cobb : Nothing like it on the market
It is not light. This is my second one. First one I wore out the push button. I ordered a new replacment button but could not loosten the screws to replace. The fast retrieve spoils you. I tried to find others, but cannot find anything close!

Northeast Consumer : Awesome spin cast reel.
Fastest retrieving reel on the market. Well made. It’s a little heavier than I would like.
Overall a great reel
Kilmore : Run away fast as you can...

This piece of crap Zebco Bullet reel self destructed in 3 fishing trips to the lake. A complete waste of money, you would better off using a stick with the line wrapped around it. In addition, the spool provided with 10 lb test was spliced together with a big idiot knot at about 20 yards into the spool that was really good at stopping your cast and sending your lure or hook right back in your face. Stopped reeling in line and died un-ceremoniously on the shore of Soldier Creek Bay in Utah. Now past the 30 day return window, so I am out $100 for this fine paper weight.
A_Normal_Man : Expected better for $100
They cut some corners. The grips on the reel handles are glued on top of plastic, on a hot day fishing the glue will get hot and become slippery and the pads will move all over, fingers will get sticky, and your hands will slip off when you are reeling in. Removing the reel to swap out lines isn't as easy as they showed, had to mess with it for 10 min before it decided it would let me screw it off just to get inside the reel to fix a screw up it had with the line. I expected more from Zebco and even the new 2022 model still has the same glued on grips. Stop screwing you best customers for profit and make quality products again.
arkansas traveler : Fishing getting expensive
Not sure about durability. Price seemed a little high
Dennis : It cast amazing, and smooth
Love how it cast, appreciate the 2nd spool of line. Now the wife and Grandkids want one
greatsite : Easy to use
Nice weight for surf fishing and really can cast far. So far so good and really enjoy it.
Hubby : Excellent Reel
Bought this as a give for a friend's birthday back in March. Now that she's had time to land some lungkers with it she is very happy with it and therefore I'm very happy with it. I'd recommend it to anyone
Steve : My opinion only! Not worth the money!
Received reel never used it! It was larger than I expected! I use a compact reel. This is not a compact reel it heavy! No handle choice.Zebco has some good reels but this was not worth the money!
Smiley : Not your Grandaddy's Ol' Zebco 202
Haven't used it long, but can't think of any negatives so far. This ain't the Zebco I learned to fish with 60 years ago. Good balance, great gear ratio, very smooth. Looks well made. Unless it fools me, I think it will be worth the price of admission. Oh! And by the way, the service by the supplier was awesome. The reel came 3 or 4 days b4 the earliest expected delivery date. That's awesome considering that most shipments from other companies have been tardy lately. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because I haven't had it long enuf to make a call.
Amazon Customer : The Bullet reel is a high performance reel.
This an awesome reel, purchased for my wife April 2019 and she loves it. I have used as well and no issues, cast, reels in great and performs as well if not better than most high end reels. I plan to purchase a couple more.
Amazon Customer : Casting is hit or miss
I was so excited to get this reel but the excitement was short term. It does reel in fast but it casts horrible!!! The line seems to get caught up inside the reel so it’s unreliable and very frustrating. I’m a seasoned fisher but this reel has me so frustrated!!!
I would not buy it again and I can’t return it.
Vaughn G. : Good reel
I love the build of this reel. Feels good and comforting in my hands. Falls like old times
Tom R. : Best closed face on the market.
Excellent reel. Worth every penny.
brian denton : Well built. Hefty in weight but seems built to last.
Just received mine. Right off the bat the packaging is nice and the reel's heft is noticeable. It seems really solid in terms of construction. Simple, really easy on the eyes. I threw it on a med fast 6-6 shimano sojourn rod and it balances quite nicely. I'll test her out tomorrow and report back. But, so far this looks and feels like a really solid reel.
David Johnson : much better than my old Zebco 33 Reel
I ordered this Zebco ZB31BX3 Bullet Spincast Reel because I have used Zebco Reels for years with no problems. I have to admit, the reel holds up to Zebco standards, much better than my old Zebco 33 Reel. The one they shipped me was black, not blue, as in the picture. So I had to buy another Rod to match the color. No big deal, I can always use an extra Fishing Rod. The Reel works great, and retrieves the line fast. I've used it catching large Catfish, Bass, and Walleye, as well as Sunfish and Bluegills. I paired it up with a Medium Action 7' rod and I've made it my number 1 fishing rig.

Lavines : Very nice upgrade.
Just received this reel 3 days ago. The day after I received it, a friend and I went fishing on Douglas lake in Tennessee. About an hour and a half from where I live. We usually troll near the banks while I cast different lures toward the banks. I probably cast this new Zebco Bullet reel around 200 times with no problems. No backlash or bird nesting like with spinner reels or bait casters. Very smooth casting and easy to use. I have always used spincaster reels and this is a nice upgrade on the traditional Zebco reel. Yep, a little pricey but if it last a long time then it may be worth it. Time will tell.
Tim Rosene : My Favorite Zebco Reel
I like the ease of use of this reel--It can cast a long way and the reel speed is better than every other Zebco I have owned. This is my second Zebco Bullet. I bought this because the first one worked so well.
Abrams : The best
Best reel I have ever used. So smooth it’s crazy.
James Johnson : Great reel, but the picture makes it seem like it's blue. It's black.
Amazing product but the picture looks like the reel is blue but it's black.
Mrs. Humphreys : Quit and smooth
Bought 2 of these and they both have worked great. Very smooth action and look nice on rods.
Donnie Sigur Sr. : Smooth Reel
Bought this for my wife who has been fishing with spincast reels for almost 30 years. There have been a few good spin cast reels, over the years, but none as smooth and well built as this one. It cast effortlessly, and reels in without any vibration so you can feel every bite. First trip with the reel, we were catching redfish with gold spoons and had no trouble reeling in redfish over 20 inches and 5 pounds.
The only thing I did not like about the reel was the string that came on it pre-spooled. It was very low quality. Suggest re-spooling it with good mono as soon as you get it.

Shown Mathew : Great Reel for Bass!
I used it a couple of times bank fishing from the lake and at several creeks. Very smooth reel. I let my friend use it once and he bought one right away as well. I've always caught Bass and the Reel is very smooth with no issues so far. It keeps up with all my friends expensive bait casters and sometimes I even catch more fish then them as well. Definitely recommended
David London : An alternative to bait casting reels
Those of us who grew up with spincast reels like the Johnson Century have had to do without for many years. There just were not any spincast reels on the market that could be used like a bait casting reel. The Bullet is it.. This is my third Bullet. One is in the shop getting renovated. They cast farther than a bait caster using the same size lure. They have a retrieve that can make even the fastest crankbaits sing. They are heavy but I like the weight. I have landed some big largemouths with a Bullet. Hoping this latest one adds to that list.
Zaster : It is great when it works
Tried to change out the spool according to instructions and the spinner head assembly would not come off. Might have been over tightened by the factory. Since my one year warranty just expired, I'm stuck.
B. McLauchlin : Don’t waste your money.
I purchased this because I though being 3 times as expensive as the famous Zebco 33 it would be smoother. The reel is not nearly as smooth as the 33 despite their advertising 6-7 gears. I waited 4-5 weeks to get this and paid 3 times what I recently paid for the Zebco 33. It doesn’t carry a heavier line and it’s not as smooth so why the big price?
Rodger : “AMAZING” LAST REEL YOU WILL BUY
This is an “AMAZING” reel!! It is the BEST I have used!! I lake fish and it’s just fantastic!! I highly recommend if you are looking for “THAT” reel!! Stop and spend the money! Be the last you buy!!
Amazon Customer : The best Zebco I have ever owned
I love how smooth this reel is! It is definitely worth the money. We liked it so much we bought another one for my husband to use since he was using mine all the time.
OW from MO : too heavy
Great reel if you can live the the weight but it's way too heavy to work on rod you normally use a baitcaster on.
I returned mind,

Sonny : design is poor
the face of the reel has a hole so small it creates an issue with slip bobber users and the stops used.
Amazon Customer : Forget about it
What a disappointment. I always preferred spin caster reels and wanted one that would cast a greater distance. This thing doesn't cast any better than my 20 year old dirty Zebco Omega One that I purchased for less than half the price. Way over priced for the quality. I was really expecting a better performing reel. I'm sorry I bought it.

Dude : Great reel
This is a great reel. It casts and reels in nice a smooth. It gave me no trouble fighting a turtle that I hooked. That turtle was pretty strong.
greatsite : Easy to use

Amazing product but the picture looks like the reel is blue but it's black.
CS : Tested and approved !!!
Rarely do I post product reviews but I must say 'BRAVO' to Zebco for releasing a reel that I asked them for. I waited for plenty of time to use the reel before posting feedback and will preface my comments by saying I own and use a multitude of spinning, bait casting reels and have a small fleet of Omega Pro Z02/Z03 reels. 80%+ of my fishing involves constantly casting Rapala's into shore (rocks, weeds, logs, etc.) for smallmouth bass while fishing on a moving river. The Bullet casts smooth and consistently, retrieves line line, lures and at times fish like 'a bullet' over and over, has a great feel and overall I've been pretty impressed. I've tested it on several quality rods of various lengths with numerous lures, techniques and retrieve speeds and thus far I like and am comfortable stating this is by far and away the best canned reel I've used. I've tossed soft plastic, spinning lures and even rubber frogs and plenty of topwater baits with no issues! The negatives (there's always something right?) is that it IS heavy and at times FEELS heavy, the drag is hard to dial upon at first set it up for the given rod/lure/fish you hope to set a hook in so make sure you test/set the drag a few times before latching into a fish. I would really love to see an Omega Pro Z02 size Bullet from Zebco with a little less size/weight and the same great dynamics as this larger Bullet sized reel in a can.
Well done Zebco!
Amazon Customer : Spincasting at new level.
This thing casts great. Winds in real smooth. The retrieval rate is kind a what I was looking for in this reel, 5.1:1, at 29.6" per turn, and you have to actually wind in a little slower, not crank away like mad like with most spincast reels. Not sure why some people are having some trouble with this reel. I would check the line. You have to inspect things, not just out of the box and go play. Check the line and make sure all screws are tight. With mine everything looked fine. Maybe its just some one from Daiwa talking trash about this reel. The padded neoprene cover is a nice touch to save from being bumped around. Pricey yea, I wasnt too concerned about that if it was all that I heard about it. I wasnt disappointed. Would I buy again, yes.
you can compare the product price from Costco, wayfair, bestbuy, lowes, target, homedepot, Walmart, ebay, amazon to find the best price for you
