Q:
How does the guy who drives the snow plow get to work?
Q:
How many yards can the 4000 reel hold?
Answer: Hi, the 4000 fishing reel line capacity as below:
Q:
can you use mono line on this reel?
Answer: Of course you can.
Answer: Yes not a problem, but as we know mono holds memory besides that it shouldn’t be an issue.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Novice fisherman here - how do you add line to this reel? any recommendations for best match for this reel?
Answer: NOTE: if you spool the line from the wrong side of line spool you will add twist to the line! If you slack the line and it makes a loop (twists) you need to turn line spool over. If not it causes problems with tangles and loops on reel spool. If spooling a bait cast reel you need to add an axle to line spool to unwind direct.
Answer: You will want to use a decent line anywhere from 6-10 lb test. Simply tie the line around the spool, some say the type of knot matters, I say if you are down to the knot on your spool, you have bigger problems than the type of knot. Make sure the bail is open before you tie the line on. Close the bail and keep gentle tension on the line. Reel at a comfortable speed until the line is about 1/8” from completely full. This reel goes well we a 6.5” or 7” medium action rod but you could go bigger or smaller with the rod depending on if you purchase the 2000 or 4000.
Answer: PLUSINNO has a spooler that makes it a snap to load this reel with your favorite line. Right now I have some 10lb nylon on it...
Answer: I make a loop with a draw knot. Put om spool. Draw knot tight. Start reeling to put line on with applying tension to the line. Keep tension on line while spooling. I normally stop spooling when there is about 1/8 of an inch of the front spool lip showing. Line weight variations an in lbs, diameter, and amount of line. It should be printed on reel
Answer: Most line that comes off of a spool has a memory of the way it wants to lay. But this varies based on type of line. However if your line is twisting up, you probably need better swivels on your terminal gear.

Product reviews of PLUSINNO Fishing Reel, 5.7:1 High Speed Spinning Reel,9 +1BB, Premium Drag System with17-22 LB Max Drag, Ultra Smooth Powerful, Lightweight Graphite Frame, CNC Aluminum Spool for Saltwater Freshwater
WS : What you’d expect
A fit for purpose reel. Fine for an extra or for the once or twice a year fisherman or fisherwoman. The bail feels light but it reels quiet. Anxious to see if it holds up to the test of time.
Comes with a little fabric storage bag if you’re keeping it as a back up or extra.
Honest Review : Nice Reel
This medium sized reel has a nice color scheme, can be used left or right handed, and has a reverse reel switch. It sports 9+1 bearings so it has a really smooth retrieve. One irritation is there is no information on the line limitation for braid although it states it is designed for braided line. At this price it's a great reel for entry level or occasional anglers. The 5.7:1 gear ratio may be a drawback for some as it can limit what baits you use or structure you might fish. But, it's not a deal breaker. This reel also uses a rubber type material on the base of the spool making loading new line or line slip later no problem any longer. My cons are a bit picky but I'm speaking completely for myself and the type of reels I prefer. I still recommend this reel to anyone.
Pros - Price point - Bearings - Rubber material at the base of the spool instead of bare metal.
Cons - Somewhat slow retrieval speed. - Heavy for its size, 9.4 oz.
Ryan J : Amazingly smooth reel! Great price!
This is an amazing reel for the money. Operating the reel is very smooth, no hitches! A rubber base on the spool grips the line preventing sliding/makes loading line easy. The bail is sturdy and smooth to operate. Casting with this reel was a blast.
D. Lohr : Not right for me!
was impressed with the price of these until it was time to cast. The bail return bump is located right where you are to line your finger to cast. Now when you flip over the bail the bail flips back, again the bail return bump is right there. You can only see that after you remove the spool and you'll see the bump, it looks like a small ramp. You will either have to rotate the spool a little forward which works fine if you remember that while casting then you'll have a full rotation before hitting the bail return bump and it works good. Or flip the bail before the finger alignment, cast, and then you'll have to flip the bail back over manually. It's still a good reel just not for me. I like my reels to be set up right and I'll give these to my brother in law and stay with my Penn's.
Rich Medina : A real value for your money!
I purchased this PLUSINNO Fishing Reel and was pleasantly surprised on how well built it was. it was not only smooth but Ultra Smooth with it's 9 + 1 Ball Bearings. The construction was solid and firm on my pole. I used this reel this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is one of the lightest weight Spinning Reels I own and has quickly become one of my favorites as I own several other top named reels. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a high performance spinning reel that can be used at your favorite pond, lake, river or even to go ocean fishing! I don't believe you could find another lower prices all around spinning reel anywhere. So if your new to fishing or have been at it for some time, I highly recommend you give this a try. For more information on this spinning reel please look at it's description which lists all of it's features. Try it, you'll be glad you did!
buzah : Out of the box review
Initial review. Sturdy design. Smooth reeling action. Nice weight. Great finish on aluminum. Click drag setting. Anti-reverse switch. Fishing and function review to follow.
Follow up: I've been using this reel for a few months now. VERY PLEASED! In fact, I've put up my other brand up and use this one as my primary. Great spinning reel with a great price.
Catfish Head Hunters : Fantastic Spinning Reel
First impression was wow, Plusinno knows how to make a spinning reel folks. This makes my second Plusinno fishing reel and I have not been disappointed yet! This thing is crazy smooth for the price. I have a 40 buck shimno spinning reel and this puts that shimano to shame!
I will do a full fishing review and over all after I test this out this week so check back see what I have to say about the fishing ability of this awesome little reel!
Noah : A $70 reel for $26
I have had the chance to use this for a few hours now and I am really happy with the reel. It does great with small, lightweight lures in a crowded stream as well as with heavier spin and spoon baits on a bigger lake. I used this to replace a reel that is about 10 years old and the difference was profound. This reel is very responsive and the all around feel is very nice. It is an all metal exterior that has a very comfortable weight to it. I would recommend this reel to anyone looking to spend less than $50 on a reel and use the leftover cash to purchase some nice line and tackle as this reel is worth much more than the $26 price tag.
CGrafton : Supurb reel, great drag performance, and buttery smooth. Impressed with this reel.
I fish both saltwater and freshwater and was looking for an excellent 4000 series reel as a pompano set up and I took a chance with this one. I cannot express how impressed I have been with this affordable reel! Surprisingly, it held up to a strong 15+lb stingray that took 22 minutes to bring in! Honestly, I thought my drag after the ray would be shot but it is still good as new. The drag on the BE4000 is buttery smooth and more than adequate and the reel is incredibly smooth and looks good doing it. It's a great lightweight combo on a 7ft medium-heavy rod.
I primarily bought this for a pompano rod and for smaller fish such as whiting, but I have caught other species as well, including a smaller 2ft shark without any issue.
For the price, you get much more real than expected. It is just as smooth as my more expensive Okuma. I would not hesitate to buy again and will likely get another as a spare. If you are looking for an affordable way to get a couple of solid, surf-fishing combos for pompano, redfish, etc., these would be a great choice for a reel.
Kevin : Great budget friendly spinning reel
I recently picked this Plusinno GE3000 spinning reel and so far I’m very pleased with the quality of this reel. This reel feels very solid and well built with an all metal frame. The 9+1 Ball bearings really make this reel spin smooth like butter. The color scheme is visually pleasing with a metallic black/graphic body and gold accents. The bail works well and the drag seems very robust. The GE3000 does have an anti reverse switch on the bottom and I’m very pleased to see the spool come with a braid ready rubber ring to add braided line without having to use a mono or floro starter. The reel is a little on the heavier side but for under $30, I am very pleased with the quality of this reel.
Kayla : Great product for a low price!
I have been looking around for a light weight smaller reel for backpacking. Its packs well and looks nice. I already own two telescopic Plusinno pools and this fits perfect. My wife and I love backpacking and always take my set-up with me. I also have a ocean and fresh water set up in my truck at all time...you never know! Over all I have been very please with Plusinno's products and this is another one I'll add to my collection!
Thai V. : AWESOME REEL!
Wow this reel really blew my mind! It is so smooth and overall a great quality reel! There is absolutely nothing I would change about this reel. It is well worth the money and trust me you will like this reel. In the picture I showed two reels, the one on the left is also a reel from PLUSINNO I have been using for the past few months and I’ve HAD ZERO PROBLEMS with it and it has worked the same since I’ve got it. I take it fishing very often too. So overall this reel is an amazing purchase and definitely well worth the money I recommend it for anyone.
Peter DeQuarto : This reel is going to make fishing easy!
Very excited to add this PLUSINNO Reel to my gear bag. It is a larger reel and can hold more of a heavier line which will be great when I switch to braid line. Very smooth motion that will reel in very quickly. Very simple to switch from left-reel to right-reel. Awesome catch for tying off your line when storing the reel, and it looks great too! This is a solid pick up for any beginner to advanced freshwater fisherman.
Clay O. : Sweet reel
This has got to be one of the nicest reels in this price range I’ve owned. It looks amazing and works great. I loaded it up with 250 yards of thin braided line on my surf rod and cast a country mile. Wish I would have come across this earlier when I needed to replace a reel on another rod. Easily better than the $40 Plueger reel I purchased recently. Feels heavier duty than the more expensive Plueget, has an anti-reverse switch that the more expensive Plueger lacks, and looks cooler than any of my other spinning reels.
Definitely going to snatch up a few more of these... cheap enough to just keep a few on hand for future rod purchases and/or backups in case anything dies on me.
Acceco : Top quality at a good price!
Modern day fishing reels have really come a long way. It seems that even using a 10-year-old reel versus a five year old reel to a current one modern day, machining techniques have made them smoother and better than ever. This is one of those examples that’s better than ever and to get quality like this 10 years ago he would’ve had to pay a fortune but now possible at a fraction of the cost.
I am sure we’ve used all the big brand names like Shimano or Abu Garcia, to Diawa and more but honest to goodness this Plusinno needs to be in the same sentence as those other fellows.
The biggest pro that I have with this is how silky smooth it is. The way that thing casts line out is incredible. Got a really cool built-in line guard on it that you don’t see often. The line reels in super smooth and casts just a smooth.
It’s drag system is easy to use and responsive to each adjustment. Never too tight or too loose.
The bail flicks back with a nice solid sound and feel and it’s been impressive how nice the line feels up evenly.
Bottom line if you’re looking for a very nice fishing reel this one should be on the top of your list. At least give it a try. You will have spent money on a good product with no regrets.
Sachi Meriano : Great for travel, and a spare on hand.
Bought this reel to accompany my travel rod. I was looking for a reel that would cost effective so that if it got damaged while traveling I wouldn't be so heartbroken. Well the rod operates way above the cost. It came with a bag which was a bonus to keep it organized and prevent the line from tangling. The casting ability it great and a smooth operation of all the parts. The bail is a bit stiff but only used it for three days. I'm will be buying a few more just to carrying in my fishing bag in case the name brands get in trouble, and without a doubt this one will more than cover the job.
Matt K : Smooth reel pulls in fish just as good as an expensive reel
Wow what a great reel for the money! This reel feels great spins super smooth and its holding up to saltwater use just fine. Still make sure to rinse down after fishing in the sand and saltwater. Everything on this reel feels just as good as some other brands costing twice as much. Looking at some of the other sizes to complete some rods I had stored away.
Michael Giorgetti : Very good quality for the price. Very smooth and feels great when fishing.
I was pleasantly surprised when I used this reel for the first time. The feel is smooth, the drag set is positive, and the bail return is just plain solid. For the price you can't beat this reel.
M. Gilmore : Very impressed with this reel - a brand to look out for
I was looking for a reasonably priced and versatile reel for fresh and saltwater fishing, something I could keep in my car and use any time. I read good reviews for this model and decided to give it a try, and now I must say it's a true bargain for the price. The fit and finish are excellent down to the details - it looks like a premium reel that would easily cost 2-3x or more. I had concerns about the weight based on other reviews, but in my case at least, it's about 10 grams lighter than my other two mid-sized reels fully spooled. Casting is as smooth as any of my more expensive reels, and the drag is easy to adjust and responsive.
About the only nit I have is that I wish it came with a spare spool that I could load up with different line, and switch out depending on what I'm fishing for. As others have mentioned, I like that the spool has a rubber base around the core - I'm using mono line with it now, but this would make it much easier to load if I was using braided line. All in all I'm very pleased, and look forward to taking this out on the lake soon. I will be looking out for other Plussino products in the future, if this is indicative of the quality of their gear.
Jeff Melton : Super Smooth
This reel is super smooth. The spool holds alot of line. The inside of the spool has a rubber piece inside it and when you tie the line to it, it keeps the line from spinning around the spool. I have never seen this but works great when putting line on it. I love the look of this reel. I was fishing wacky worm with no weight and was able to out cast any of my other reels. The drag adjustment works great and have not had any fish break of the line because of drag issues.
Kindle Customer : Piece of junk
This reel is a piece of junk, line does not properly spool on reel forcing it to jump out of reel and clog up reel. have tried relining and no luck. Tried to contact company in China a for warranty purposes and i get no response. Waste of money , do not buy this product. Very poor customer service on part of company.
Kevin S : Very Smooth - High Quality Feel & Look
This is my 2nd PLUSINNO reel and my first GE3000 series. I fish in Lagoons, Ponds, Inshore & Offshore. This is going to be my Anywhere reel, which is why I got the 3000 series. It gives me enough line capacity for the Surf but also the compact factor for using it at my pond or Lagoon. I'm impressed by the FEEL of Quality. It Looks Very Nice and it is very quiet and spins very smoothly. It's as smooth as my other 13bb reels. I also like the feature of a rubber ring in the middle of the spool so that the line easily grips when I initially fill the spool. It also has a sturdy arm and finger grip that feels good when reeling. This will accommodate over 300 feet of 15 pound braid so I'm very pleased with the capacity. Overall, this is a really nice reel with a high quality feel and smooth retrieve that looks very nice on the rod :) Shout Out to PLUSINNO for another quality product at a good price that makes me look good :) Just another reason WHY I continue to buy PLUSINNO gear. I'll update as I continue to use it.
JAboc : Great reel for the money
Upon opening the package I knew that this was a great reel for the money. Though I had to clean it up a bit as some grease was left over from the factory it didn't cause any issue. I spooled the reel up with some hi-vis 10lb mono and rigged it up with a split shot, hook and some bait. I was able to land some small crappie and bluegill in the lake behind my neighborhood. I then took apart the drag stack and other parts of the reel just to make sure it was working as intended and all parts were in working order. The bail does feel a bit awkward at certain positions but after using it for 3 hours I was able to get used to it. Overall great reel for the money and will try this out in the salt on the pier once spring time comes around again.
NC Coast : Great product
I recently purchased 4 of these after reading the positive reviews and the reasonable price. The reels were received in just a few days after ordering on Amazon. Out of the box, the reels were very sharp looking and did not disappoint regarding appearance. Visually, the reels easily compare to other much higher priced models. The reels were smooth and had the feel of a quality product. After reviewing, I purchased two more of the reels, since I try to keep several available for when we have visitors that would like to go fishingon the East Coast. I am looking forward to trying out, fishing for reds and trout in Eastern North Carolina. I will try and post a video soon after. Take care and happy fishing.
DANIEL CASTAO : Great value-price fishing reel.
This is a quite inexpensive budget reel, Very smooth bearings but at the same time very sturdy and well built fishing reel. Depending on your preference, you can move the handle to either side, it also had anti reverse which is really good. Looks really good, nice combination of silver, chrome and gold ( see the pictures ), most moving parts are cast aluminum. I will recommend it.
Amazon Customer : Nice Reel But One Quirk
I got this reel to replace an older reel I had. These are my thoughts below.
Likes I like the look It reels really smooth Drag is very nice Haven't had a problem with line tangling or twisting
Quirk I noticed at a certain spot I couldn't flip the bell back to be able to cast.. This is very new to me and never had the issue before on my other reels. I know this is just something I will get used to. Just have to move it clockwise a little more. You will see a picture of what I am talking about the bell not opening for me.
Wish I wish they would change the way the bell flips when spinning after it is cast. it is a little harder to flip the bell with just by springing the handle. This could be that it is new and needs to be broken in.
I would recommend this reel, especially for the cost and feel. I don't know about durability yet haven't had it long. I love the reel bag it came in. You do get a nice diagram of how the reel is put together.
VT Beerloverguy : Smooth reel
Got this reel to pair with a medium heavy rod I own and it works great. It spooled up 300 yards of 15lb spiderwire braid perfectly. My only concern is the piece that you can hook the line to, to keep it under tension, is partially blocked by a graphite (I think it's graphite) bar. I got the line in there, but had to position the reel just right. All in all, this is a very nice and smooth reel. Will update if anything changes.
Big McLargeHuge : Great Reel
I purchased this reel (the 2000 size) to go on a 6 foot medium light St. Croix rod. Have had it several months and have used it many times. I wanted a sub $30 reel and, at the time, this reel had 55 reviews with a 5 star average so I bought it. I was not disappointed. Smooth retrieve. Solid drag. I have 15 pound braid with 12 pound florocarbon leader. Caught many bass on this combination and even a 20 pound catfish while fishing for bass. It handled the catfish as well as any reel could have.
Donald Hecht : A Treasure for the Price
What an amazing buy. I’ve been fishing with a Daiwa BG 3000 reel and have been using it for fresh and Saltwater. I wanted a second reel so that I wouldn’t have to switch my reel from rod to rod. I’ve always been please with the Plusinno products I’ve purchased so I decided to take a chance in buying their GE 3000. I spooled it with 10# braid and have had out fishing two times. Unbelievably, the Plusinno reel was almost a duplicate of my BG reel, in appearance and function, for one quarter of the price. I’m delighted and thinking about buying a Plusinno GE 2000 for trout and panfish.
albert truong : cant complain! but i willllll
i picked up a sougilyang spinner reel for $20, comes w spare spool and overall feels great. felt more like a $40-50 reel. i have a few kastking reels i nabbed for $50 and felt like $80... even one that had issues outta the box cuz incorrect assembly was still awesome after i fixed it.
the plussino reel however did not get that same emotion.
at first glance, its a gorgeous reel. definitely looks like a $80 reel. my buddy’s cheapo $15 reel? definitely looked cheapo with plastic parts falling off. so the plussino has that, along with a smooth retrieve.
its biggest issue was the drag and some really sharp edges... and its heavy!
the drag was a mess. i had to take apart the drag completely and found metal shavings in the felt. there were also some imperfections and cross threading happening here and there. even with it cleaned out, drag was still super rough. wasnt till i added some drag grease that it gotten smoother.
then the sharp edges. the machining on the spool looks “sharp!” haha puns - the slotting in the spool is literally sharp. i had to go across it a few times with some ceramic rods to clean and smooth it out.
its also a pretty heavy reel for its size - wished i paid attention to that. whereas other reels of this size are in the 8-10 oz range, this feels much heavier.
am i happy with it? meh. its what i paid for so i cant complain (but i just did complain! lol) - it’ll suit its purpose as a backup reel. its just, i was hoping for the same fit/finish and waulity reel vs some of their other competitors which ive had good luck eith.
it doeeesss look sexy tho on the plussino rod.
Rachel Sulin : Garbage
Not happy with this reel. Unfortunately I waited too long to use it to notice defects and missed the return window. The bail does not stay open to allow for casting... just falls right back down. This happens nearly every single cast and requires letting out line, and turning the reel a couple of full revolutions before the lock open and allow to cast. This is super annoying while fishing as it wastes precious time and results in floating past perfect casting spots while unable to cast. Feels flimsy as well. Dont think I would be completely satisfied even without the bail problem, but as is, it is useless to me. I have another Plussino reel that I really like. Recommend staying away from this particular one.
Donny : Buttery smooth reel
1st impression the reel is super smooth and has true anti reverse! Well built and seems as smooth as my lews abu Garcia and six gill spinning reels. It says its a 4000 sized reel when its the size of a large 2000 and a small 3000 of my reels in that size series. Will spool it up with 10# braid and do a full review with pics after i use it fishing. As of now for the really great price i match it up with reels 2 and 3 times the cost. So looks like a steal at the price point
rickrowe : great value!
There is nothing I dislike about this product. It came in a nice box and has a pouch to put the reel in. The action is smooth. The line spool has a very grippy feel to it. I have only used it a few times. I caught a few two and three pound large mouth bass. I plan on taking it to the coast with me this spring because it is ok to use in the salt water. I have spinning reels that cost $100+. I'd love for a reel maker to sit me down and explain how this Plusinno product is not just as good as theirs. I also can't find salt water spinning reels at my local bass pro. I don't know if that is a covid thing or what? I've never actually looked for salt water gear before this past weekend. I'll update this review if I change my mind after further use.
The Greene’s : Might just be the reel deal.
Out of the box the reel feels solid, as with any reel I’ll take it apart and get rid of the factory grease and apply my own eventually. It came with an exploded diagram of the reels parts a nice little carry bag type deal. As is for now it feels solid and is smooth the anti reverse locks up solid, bail seems good, drag also seems solid, handle and dust cover are up to par and it’s a good looking little reel I definitely like the spool with the metal line keeper reminds me of my team lews reels . I’d compare it to some of my average joe but quality Abu Garcia reels which are plenty good. For now ill give it 4 stars and update this review when I get a chance to use it which will hopefully be this weekend.
Update #1- Took it out on its first outing today and ran some top water through pads and did some jig’n as well and so far I’m impressed with how it performs. Plusinno May be on to something and these may end up being my go to reels for an affordable reel if it continues to perform good.
Update #2- I will address bail rotation and placement issue some are speaking of I reckon it could be a pain, but it isn’t that big of a deal. I always bring mine to the same spot on each real before I open the bail and pinch the line up against the rod before a cast. And as far as the line lock issue I believe it’s due to their drag system being to lose and you may have a to try running it a bit tighter and it’ll probably save you some headache tightening down the bail screws.
I took mine apart cleaned it up re greased/lubed it up from top to bottom just a smooth as silk and the bail seems even more solid than before nice snap when closed and opened. When the bails opened and reeled it snaps right back Into closed position.
I own the grey and silver same reel different colors. Take it all with a grain of salt, but I wouldn’t change much I do like an aluminum body reel if I had the choice and more area/grip on the handle knob. I can’t really fault it to much for the money.
Corporal Knobby Knobbs : Great reel for the price.
My 7 year old got a small pole and reel from his grandmother for his birthday and had been asking to go fishing. I hadn’t been in years so I picked this reel up to use with an old pole and some light tackle. We’ve been fishing off the dock at my MIL’s place in Mississippi and both my 7 and 5 year olds have been able to handle this reel absolutely fine and have even caught their first fish. I would post a picture of our catches so far but I would need a zoom lens to make the fish fill the photo. Who cares about the fish size, the kids have had fun.

GetOutTheHouseGoFish : Stealth because it definitely surprised me on how well its made for the price; GetOutTheHouseGoFish!
When opening the box the first thing I liked was the way the reel looks. Its very sleek looking. I started opening and closing the bail and then I heard something drop on the floor. I look down and it was one of the black caps that cover the screw on the bail. Why they put it there I am unsure because the only purpose I saw was to not show the screw so it had no purpose besides that. I love that this reel is also braid ready. Most reels in this price range don't have a spool that is braid ready and I use braid on all my spinning reels. The finger grip has some padding that feels nice and your fingers shouldn't slide off while reeling in a fish. The drag has a nice audible tone and it is very smooth when reeling. They did a good job with this reel. GetOutTheHouseGoFish!

Daniel enriquez : Can’t beat it for the price and quality
Finally got to use this last weekend! For the price I thought it would be pretty shocking if I liked it, but it was really impressive. First out of the box I was surprised how nice it looked and felt. Solid.
The drag clicks and locks so it not you cheap plastic knob, really solid it works great. The handle was easily switch to the right side, took me 30 seconds.
Reeling is super easy and smooth! So quite and it’s really light so you don’t get tired holding it, this is a perfect reel for lake fishing. Gonna try some braided line and see how it does in the ocean, I let you know Fourth of July weekend!
Price point is remarkable for this quality reel!
Shopoholic : Smooth and perfect
Loved it, I use it with my ultra light ugly sticks for trouts, it works perfectly. I recomend this product.
Update: after many months extensive use, i had some issue with my bails, I must say they have excellent customer service they send me a new 1 within a week of complain.
Monty : Well built, great value for the money!
Amazingly well built and engineered, very fast line retrieval, smooth and quiet operation. Only one minor concern with the machined spool and trim parts: sharp edges that may yield a small cut to a finger or possibly the line if not taught on the spool. Minor issues given the overall quality, easy to deburr the edges, certain this reel is built to last.
Over The Bars : THIS IS THE REEL YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR .....
For the price of this reel it is awesome so far . Beats any reel at Wal-Mart or Big5 sporting goods at this price point . Feels better then my penn reel I paid $75.00 for it. . Its light . I know looks dont make a reel work better but this thing looks good . Has a rubber center band in the spool so you can use braided line with out the slipping . If your getting into fishing or you need a great cheap reel this is the one ..
binarymercenary : perfect gearing/speed for pier fishing
This reel has perfect gearing/speed for pier fishing. The handle was easy to flip sides, too. I strung mine with a 12lb zebco line and ran some practice casts - VERY smooth release and return. Not sure if it is salt water rated so I won't let it get splashed (much). Looking forward to bringing in a croaker with this soon!
Stats : New reel operates more smoothly than last reel
I'd give this reel a 4.5/5 if I could. Just went fishing and utilized my original reel and then switched to this reel. There were two main differences that I found between my original reel and this one.
First, this reel operated smooth as butter. After casting with my original reel and then this one, I regretted spending so much time utilizing the old reel. This reel operated so smoothly that I was able to cast further and get the bail back into place in no time. Loved this feature.
Second, the handle is not fixed into place and can be moved towards or away from the reel by accident. I found to be a nuisance as it would sometimes stick under the bail when reeling in. I would prefer a fixed handle on this reel.
On a side note, I thought it would be good to have some instructions included with this reel (like which was included on my other Plusinno reel). Never know who is going to be using these products and I think it would be great to include basic instructions for newbies.
Overall, I think this is a reel was a good purchase and I'd recommend it to my friends.
Peter DeQuarto : BE2000 Spinning Reel is ready to rock and roll.
I just purchased this reel and got it in the mail today. I was super excited to get line on the reel (using PLUSINNO's line spooler too!) and man it is smooth! I was able to get an 8lb mono line on the reel in minutes and am very excited to get it on my rod to catch some fish! It was a breeze to switch the handle from left-hand reel to right-hand reel and has a nice soft travel bag included in the box. The drag has a nice satisfying sound too it, and one good turn will bring it in a few times.
