You can look at the Salis X casting reel by Piscifun. That was designed for saltwater use. Rinse everything with fresh water after use, even if designed for salt.

Was very happy with the size and the feel of the handle. Literally after the 3rd fish I caught (all under 6 pounds) the drag completely stopped working! It seemed to be set at a very light drag so it wouldn’t free spool but the slightest pull would start stripping out line! NOT HAPPY!

Amazing 55 dollar reel. Super smooth, pretty solid, great drag, and fishes like a reel twice the price. I have 2 I've been using on surf rods for a month. The 40 and 50 have a free floating spool and 6 pin casting control. The 60 has 2 pins and a fixed spool. Get the 40 or 50. They cast wonderfully. Just be careful not to over tighten screws when maintaining the reel. The metal could be a little thicker.... My only complaint.

Probably still going to order a #50 at some point.

Paired this reel up with a TWC blue and white rod with some 80lb piscifun braided line and I am very pleased. Super smooth reel and you can really whip your bait out a ways with this thing. Getting 4 stars only because I have not had the reels long enough to see the durability and how it holds up over time.

I really liked this baitcaster. It casted smoothly and reeled in some nice fish on it's first use. I really liked the clicker, easy to click on and off during catching the fish. I can't wait to see how it handles the bigger black drums and red drums that I usually target. Piscifun has made a great product and will probably go after the step up after a while of using this one.

Super smooth reel for your money
Tim : Spool will cut braided line
Upon unboxing I felt this was a beautiful reel love the blue and black . Love the power Handel . Reel is super smooth . I normally don’t like reviews that start off saying I haven’t used it yet. But in this case it’s very important . If you plan on using braided line then your in trouble. The little diamond looking insets they put on the spool to make it grip the line will cut your braid took me a few time to realize it wasn’t my knot tying that was failing but the the spool design.
I suggest first putting some electrical tape over the little Diamonds. Then after that tie your knot followed by another full turn of tape so it doesn’t slip, and you should be good . The reel size is just a bit small but not to small I guess you’d say middle . I’m ok with the size myself.
Love the thumb release button as well .
The bait clicker is way to quite , If there is wind blowing or waves Splashing against the boat a lot you prob, won’t hear it .
So I can’t give it a five based on that right now.
I’ll do another review later to let you know how it turned out . Hope it does great because I love 90 % of it so for.

I love this reel! I've been trying to find something negative about it since I've bought them because of the price being so reasonable, but so far they have not had any issues. Plus they are performing as good as my Abu C3s for half the price. Time will tell if they can handle my abuse but so far they've caught plenty of 20s, some 30s and a couple 40+ lb blue and flathead catfish with ease. They cast very quietly and smooth. Same with reeling no noise or roughness. I thought that the bearings would start getting rough by now but that hasn't started at all. They hold plenty of 30lb mono and have more drag than I'll need. Even the clicker is loud enough to hear over wind and functions well. They feel sturdy and well built. The only thing I can say is that I wish the color scheme was different since they are hard to pair with a rod. But that's only my opinion and not a true negative. Buy this over the Rovers you won't be disappointed.

This reel is actually super nice. It casts very well, the retrieve is smooth and the drag is quality. I have similar reels that cost twice as much and they aren't as nice as this one. This is the third Piscifun reel I have purchased and they are all great reels. I'll be getting more!

Very good reel for the price. It was a little grinding it the beginning but that’s expected from brass to brass connection. I spend a day just spinning the handle and that grinding went away and it was one of the smoothest reels ever. It’s easy to take apart and work on, since the level wind is always engaged I made it my boat rod, it worked perfectly. No complaints, great product.

It's a great reel Smoot casting and cast a mile but the problem I have is I think the drag is a little weak almost all the way tight and seems like the line still comes out awful easy on a big fish lost 2 big fish couse couldn't seem to get drag tight enough but would buy another one for the price

Amazing 55 dollar reel. Super smooth, pretty solid, great drag, and fishes like a reel twice the price. I have 2 I've been using on surf rods for a month. The 40 and 50 have a free floating spool and 6 pin casting control. The 60 has 2 pins and a fixed spool. Get the 40 or 50. They cast wonderfully. Just be careful not to over tighten screws when maintaining the reel. The metal could be a little thicker.... My only complaint.

I got this for ice fishing for lake trout last winter and love it. I typically get abu’s or sham’s but decided to give this guy a try and it’s now going to be my go to brand. Great drag and very smooth.

These reels are definitely worth the money the sheerness and a great value for the money. The thickness is about the same as some high end reels. We use them to catch cat fish. And have had no problems out of them. Awesome reel for the money would definitely recommend.

I don't like the clicker. I fish a lot and I re bait or re tie lures and put on the clicker. I don't like it. This reel has a button to turn the clicker on an off that slides and does not snap in and out of clicker mode.
Other than that its great.. Its smooth. Its my favorite color. I was going to return it but I like it until the clicker fails then I will be unhappy.

I’ve only had it a few months so I have only taken it out a hand full of times. Like it a lot got it to go catch some catfish. Reels great and cast great. I would recommend this reel for beginners or professionals. The product itself is made very good. Also love the color of it.

Bought the Piscifun Chaos XS for trophy Blue Catfish and it has proven to be a great reel. Smooth action, small enough to fit comfortably in the hand yet takes to pounding of a 40 plus fighting catfish in current. Has a great look. Loaded it with 80lb braided line and casting 16 ounce lead. Might get another.
