Answer: I have been enjoying using mono with these reels.....I like braid, but mono seems to give more of a fun fight. I use 30 /40 pound mono.....But I have used 65 lbs. braid, mono been my favorite....Hope This Helps.

Answer: You are pulling beyond the 22 pound drag rating..... that means the total drag is 22 pounds. Use your thumb to stop the spool if you are in a situation that needs more than the rated drag for this reel.

You can look at the Salis X casting reel by Piscifun. That was designed for saltwater use. Rinse everything with fresh water after use, even if designed for salt.

Answer: The reel can be ordered left or right handed. It comes both ways, but cannot be changed from one side to the other. I can use both left and right, but ordered the right hand and love it.

Answer: No. Conventional and baitcast style reels are not compatible with bow fishing.

It seems to very well constructed, seems to be good quality materials, BUT ive used a lot of bait casters and if anyone that uses them knows you have to be careful because they "birds nest" real easy, this reel seems to be beyond that. Myself and two other very experienced anglers attempted to use this reel to no avail, every single cast it nested BADDLY. Im giving it 3 stars simply for the construction and the smoothness of the reel itself.

I bought the bigger chaos 50 a couple months ago and was pleasantly surprised by the way it was built and how sturdy it was. I spooked with 25 lb mono and got a fair amount on so I decided to buy the smaller chaos 40 for a medium light rod I have. I fish for channel catfish think these will both last quite a while. I haven't hit the lake with the 40 yet but I'm sure it will be fun.

Very good reel for the price. It was a little grinding it the beginning but that’s expected from brass to brass connection. I spend a day just spinning the handle and that grinding went away and it was one of the smoothest reels ever. It’s easy to take apart and work on, since the level wind is always engaged I made it my boat rod, it worked perfectly. No complaints, great product.

Upon unboxing I felt this was a beautiful reel love the blue and black . Love the power Handel . Reel is super smooth . I normally don’t like reviews that start off saying I haven’t used it yet. But in this case it’s very important . If you plan on using braided line then your in trouble. The little diamond looking insets they put on the spool to make it grip the line will cut your braid took me a few time to realize it wasn’t my knot tying that was failing but the the spool design.
I suggest first putting some electrical tape over the little Diamonds. Then after that tie your knot followed by another full turn of tape so it doesn’t slip, and you should be good . The reel size is just a bit small but not to small I guess you’d say middle . I’m ok with the size myself.
Love the thumb release button as well .
The bait clicker is way to quite , If there is wind blowing or waves Splashing against the boat a lot you prob, won’t hear it .
So I can’t give it a five based on that right now.
I’ll do another review later to let you know how it turned out . Hope it does great because I love 90 % of it so for.

Bought the Piscifun Chaos XS for trophy Blue Catfish and it has proven to be a great reel. Smooth action, small enough to fit comfortably in the hand yet takes to pounding of a 40 plus fighting catfish in current. Has a great look. Loaded it with 80lb braided line and casting 16 ounce lead. Might get another.

The reel is generally smooth and is relatively powerful. If the reel functioned as designed I would be very happy with the reel. However initially, the clicker was always low and hard to hear. Then on about my fourth time using the reel lost all clicker sound. I contacted Piscifun and they responded the next day which was great. They were very nice. I worked with them to discover what the problem was. I took the reel apart and discovered one of the springs had failed. Unfortunately, they said that they could not get me a replacement spring for over two - 3 months. :( and still today cannot give me a date. Will I ever get the springs? Will they work for a while and not break again? Who knows.

I have owned over 20 brand name baitcast reels and never had problem like this without after many years of heavy use on big fish. I have some old dependable reels that keep chugging along for 20 plus years with a few going back 40 plus. Returning for refund, not going to risk it. Ruined my opening day for salmon if not for the backups that I brought with me. I bought another model from same brand for bass fishing on same order, but I haven't tried it out yet. It also seems like a high quality at half the price. I haven't totally given up on the brand since many start out as value-entry level with decent quality so I may give a future one a try.

First of all a reel at this cost is a good deal. I reel that works this smoothly Perfect. I have had this a few months now and I only wish I had got one sooner.

First cast with it I hooked up on this big boy and instantly tested this reel out. So far so good. We will see how long it lasts with saltwater fishin down here in south texas. Reel worked very well.

Buyers beware the 60 size has 2 pin breaks unlike the 40 and 50 size which have 6pin . Glad I opened it up to check , I was under assumption that they all have 6pin breaks . I gave it 5 stars cause I love my 40 and 50 size ,super smooth casting reels, i pulled in a 45lb paddle fish with zero issues smooth drag.

these are great reels I purchased two. taken them apart they they the bearings are in the right places especially the one on the pinion gear I have bass reels that cost over four hundred with that design they are great especially for the cost I have eight and my son have six I trust them I sold all my old ABU reels. I bought the 50 rt hand. Feels pretty solid. I filled it with 25# Big Game. Tied on 2 oz. and pitched it around in the yard to get a feel for it then went to the river. It casts farther than any baitcaster I currently own. Best guess easy 90-100 yard casts with 2 oz.

Great reel. Easily mounts on rod. Perfect weight/ size.
And I love the colors. It’s a beautiful reel.
And, for the price, I could buy two of these for the price of but one of my other baitcaster reels. (I won’t say the name. But it was made in Sweden. )
Another thing, I had to shell out an additional $20 for power crank for the other reel. This Piscifun Chaos 50 came with one already mounted.

I love my Chaos XS 50. So my grandson wanted one for his birthday. I ordered his the day I got mine. Was supposed to deliver today, the kid’s birthday.
Due to a malfunction in the sorting process, it got sent to Florida instead of Oklahoma. Oops!!
I was mad. But, stuff happens. Now they’re saying “by Friday”.
Hope hope hope.

I now believe in miracles.
My reel made it from Orlando (at 9:00 pm last night), to Oklahoma City and delivered this morning before 9:00 am.
