Answer: It could be used for salt water just would need a good bath and cleaning when done. Look for a sealed reel. I have all abu for fresh water casting and spinning. I use the penn reels for salt water. They are sealed I use the conflict and battle from penn. and just rinse them off with a hose when done for the day

Answer: If you want to use 6-poung test mono, then I would recommend the size 30. The spool is fairly shallow (which I like . . . less wasted line at the core of the spool). I would say that the size 30 might hold 160 yards of 6-pound line. Line capacity info on reels is rarely accurate. The size 10 reel has a super tiny spool and would not much 6-pound test mono.

Answer: It's the size in the middle of the x1 and x3. LOL. I've got an x2 mounted a on a 6' ultra light with 6# for crappie and bluegill. I've caught walleye on it too.
Answer: They are called the Revo2 model sizes go by every thousand in series. So the X1 = 1000series, X2 = 2000series and so forth. Hope this helps!

Nice reel, bought for my fathers Bithday present/ Father’s Day. And he loves it, only thing I can say is please use the 1/8 inch less than spool rule. It will birds nest if you fill it all the way up.

This reel is just ok. I don't think it is worth 90 dollars. I have a Shimano Nasci and a Daiwa Fuego and they are way better. I should have went with another one of those. Decided I would try Abu since I like their C3 6500. Their spinning reels are not that good.

A very high quality spinning reel. However, I ordered the 2x30 from Amazon Warehouse to save a few bucks. I received a 2x20 in a 2x30 box. A bit frustrating, but I decided to keep it since there weren't any 2x30 reels available for near the same cost if I returned it. All in all, I got a good reel at a good price even if it isn't the one I wanted.

I currently own 3 of these in spinning reels a 20 series, and two 30 series. I also have 4 of them in casting reels. They are a great reel for the money, they hold up well with the abuse of wading rivers and streams. I use them for a variety of species from bream to pike. I mainly use them for bass fishing and the drag works flawlessly. One of these reels paired with your favorite line should do the job. I paired all of mine with seaguar fluorocarbon from 8lb to 12lb. Will be replacing my older reels with these along the way.

This is an awesome reel for the money. All metal internal gears, so it built to last. It was a little stiff when I first got it, but by the end of the first day is is smooth as can be!
