Answer: I’d step it up to a 4000-5000 the the III is a great reel.

I do alot of inland lake fishing what size would be best on a 5'6" Uglystick?

Answer: 3000 or 4000. The 3000 is really plenty of reel for bass and trout.

Answer: It depends on where you are going to use it. If you are going to the beach buy a bigger one if you are using it in a lake then the small or the next size up.
