Up in the description it says model 40 but in the Q&A it says 30. Which is it?

Answer: You can get 25, 30 or 40 .

What is the line weight for the 25X and 40X

Answer: The spool tells dia rather than weight. I have the 40x. 10# max. It is a small type reel. The extra spool Is available from a third party vendor, $26.99. Looks different, works ok. I have not tested with 10# and large fish for durability.

Answer: 8lb max drag. But trust me I have pulled in 5lb bass no problems! It is definitely up to the task!

Answer: I use 15# braid with no problems.

Can I use 30lb braided line on this

Answer: Although I have not tried 30lb braid line on it, I do not see any reason why you can't. I would think worse case would be casting characteristics might be different. Also, be sure and use a few feet of monofilament line first and then tie on the braid. This will prevent slippage.

I have this same series in the Bait casting format, and it's one of the best reels I've ever used. This spin casting version is a great reel as well. It's smooth, reliable, and very well built. I would recommend it to any serious fisherman!

Dude : Excellent fishing reel!

This reel operates very smoothly with 10 ball bearings, I expect to catch many fish with it, and I would highly recommend it.

Amazon Customer : Need quality control

Very disappointed in the product. Open the box and put on the handle and it would only turn halfway. The spool would not move and lock in place. If I tried to force the handle it would break. The Pflueger help desk was not so helpful. Spend $160 for something that does not work, it should been tested before shipping.

Greg Governatori : Anti-reverse broke, first morning of use.

I would not recommend this real. I take one fishing trip a year, extreme disappointment that the one new real I bought broke. Did not even catch a fish with it. Switched to a shimano, that's 15 years old. Anti reverse broke after maybe 15 casts. Going to see if I can get it repaired.
