Answer: any...20/30/40...etc....if salt fishing need more line capacity get a bigger reel..example: some guy uses 4lb mono line on a fb20 reel...you get lots of 4lb line on that reel..if reel states 6lb/180 yrds..then 4lb would be over 200 yds..if you put 9lb mono on it..see the capacity details, you get 115 yrds..so depends..fishing ponds that are small, you need maybe 100yrds max..in ocean-200 yrds to battle the fish..etc..MANY OPTIONS HERE..hope this helps..

Answer: Max drag is 15lbs, I wouldn't go over 20# test. I would strongly suggest using braid, just put a small piece of Teflon tape or electrical tape around the spool to prevent slipping before spooling it

Answer: I like the 2000 because of the balance that I got after putting it on my 6ft rod I placed it on the pointer finger at the last section of the finger thumb down on the middle finger pointer finger straight as to point and it balances meaning to me that it should cast well and feel good for bass bream and crappie so my answer is yes . I would use it for any fresh water fish . I bought 5 of the 2000's they look and feel like my Mitchell 300's. I believe that the 1000's may be smaller like the one's that are on the crappie combos that are really pricey. Buy some great price $26.00. Not bad at all nice colors.
Answer: For crappie fishing you will want to use either the 1000 or 2000 series. Both are good reels and can be used with light tackle. I would select the 2000 because it is a little more versatile. It holds more line and can be used for larger fish.

Just received this reel. Beautiful, and seems to be built very well. Fishing is out at the moment because of the pandemic, so will have to wait for a while to try it out. This is a very nice reel that appears well made from quality materials. The smoothness of operation and drag are both excellent. The current use is primarily crappie fishing but today it handled a 8# Blue Catfish well until the crappie jig hook bent as heavy pressure was applied in an attempt from keeping the fish out of a sunken tree.

It replaced one of my quite old Trout reels on a 4'-6" rod.
I loaded it with 4lb. Flourocarbon line. It casts great, reels in very quiet and smooth. Drag seems to function as it should.
Only complaint is I wish the bail was a little thinner in diameter, but it does the job distributing line evenly on the spool.
Will be buying more for my older Bass rod reels.

Product would have been great if the bail didn't fly off after less than 50 casts. If you get this, make sure to add some locktite onto the threads of the screw that holds the bail. Then it'll be great. Smooth action. Very upset I lost screw and bail hardware.

Awesome reel. Had to replace an old one on an ancient telescopic rod my dad passed down to me. Reels like butter, smooth cast, no complaints. Love the red too, looks as good as it feels.

This reel does not have 13+1 stainless steel shielded bearings. It comes with 3+1 poor quality open ball bearings that rust after 2-3 uses in fresh water. What can you expect for 20$? complete trash waste of money and false advertising! Even 1 star rating is too high for this crap.

I have been surprised how well this reel has held up. I have used it two times a week fishing for reds and snook. The real is smooth and the drag works well.

I fish for carp and catfish I like fish that fight and this reel will fit the bill. It's 14 ball bearing which makes it smooth with zero back lash. I also like the bright red color it goes well with ugly stik I would highly recommend this reel you won't be disappointed.

Billy Andervil : Put loctite/threadlock on screw that holds bail before use!
Product would have been great if the bail didn't fly off after less than 50 casts. If you get this, make sure to add some locktite onto the threads of the screw that holds the bail. Then it'll be great. Smooth action. Very upset I lost screw and bail hardware.

I now own about 15 of these Yongzhi reels in various sizes and colors. They’re not the lightest reels, but they’re not heavy enough to be tiresome either. I received this reel in red, size 5000 3 days ago. The foot was broken in the box upon arrival. I contacted the seller. They were very professional and promptly had another reel sent out to me. I received the new reel today in perfect condition. Not only do I love using these reels, but their customer service is second to none as well. Thank you Colledge.
