Do these cast well ?

Answer: I use this reel for casting with 20lb mono and 3oz t0 6oz weights matched with a custom 10.6 Ft graphite rod ! I usually use dead baits or smaller live gills ,shad, or gold fish ! This reel when adjusted properly will cast as far as your talent and rod length will allow .

Can get approx, 270 yards of 30 lb and and right around 310 (maybe a little more , but I don't like to fill it completely when using 20 lb ) due to how much line it will take . and I only use this reel for catfishing ...... it cast like a champ , I have never tried 12lb or 15 lb........... also RUNCL line is stronger and smaller diameter than standard mono's

Answer: If you have adjusted the other reel adjustments properly and your main drag still will not engage properly , you have bad drag washers in the reel , if it is brand new you need to return it .

Answer: Its somewhat smaller i think 10 and 11 15 pound test mono on the 40 modle

Answer: I don't use this reel for casting lures , But I have cast a 5oz sinker quite often with the right adjustments with no problem, I will say if you can cast a 7000 ambassador you won't have any problem with this reel.

Had this reel for 2 days and taken it out to the pier both days. No issues with product performance so far. Caught several species of fish and the reel handled them all. The clearnose skate I was even able to reel up to the pier from the water without the aid of a net. This reel costs 1/3 of the price of an Abu Garcia ambassador and compares in initial quality. Ill be buying at least 1 more to replace the right hand retrieve Abu that I have.

This is my first review for a product. I took a gamble on this reel. Seen good and bad reviews. Well I've been fishing cats with it for few weeks now. I have had ZERO issues like some of the bad reviews have said. Maybe a backlash every now and then. Now I won't say it's better than my Abu's, but for the price can't beat it. I've been pulling in cats 35+ lbs and the reel has been flawless. Smooth cast, and retrieve, good drag. If you're like myself, and not trying to break the bank on a reel for another rod. I do recommend this. Hope this helps with your decision.

This reel is very smooth and the drag system seems to be very tight . If you adust this reel properly for weight it will cast really well and at approiate distances without backlashing ! I am using comb ined with a custom battle star 10.6 baitcasting rod and it is a great fit ........ For the price and the quality it appears to have .......... I feel a got the bargin of the century !

These reel don’t hold up. I probably fish more then the average person but I take care of my equipment and I’m not hard on it. I bought 2 of these earlier this year. One worked fine in the beginning but is now locked up. The spool will not spin in either direction. the other I had issue from the get go. I’m pretty sure it had already been returned once as the packing was already open.

Havent officially used this yet but my first impression is 5 stars. Very solid and well made. If this works well kn next teip, i will rebuy. Id also say that this appears to be made better than abu garcia 5500 c4, which is what it resembles.

Part 2....... took to lake erie. Reel should have been plenty strong enough for 12 lb line, small planer board and crankbait. As day went on, gears grinding and missing and finally locked up. This was second trip. Will send back.

Ok so I was on the hunt for a new reel to go aside my Abu Garcia 6500. Abu Garcia with always have a place in my heart. I feel like a lot of us grew up using Abu Garcia, they are old school and classic. This reel is better made than the Abu I've had for 17 years.

So now that I'm looking at a brand new C4 and this reel side to side....ones going back and it isn't this one. The clicker is better, the spool adjustment gear isn't as clicky, but it has a finer adjustment. The over all sensitivity of the drag is a huge plus. Another great feature is the clicker button which is metal not plastic like the Abu.

The major downside of this reel is the foam handles. The metal over all on both the drag spool and handle feels and looks sturdier then the C4. The worm gear and guide doesn't act as smooth as the Abu but it still feels as good reeling back. It does have some sloppiness in the guide so that'll be a major one to watch down the road.

We'll see if this thing stands the test of time, but I'm LOVING WHAT I'M SEEING AND FEELING WITH THIS REEL. Don't question it just buy it and beat it up, I have a feeling this is a no regrets purchase.

Haha seeing as it's of Chinese origin something tells me a couple parts from Abu could make this better than the Abu in this style.

Out of the box this thing was incredible, not just for the price.

6months later and around 15 attempts to catch channel catfish including catching a 12 pounder this reel is toast.

The 1st thing to go was the drag. I had to set it all or nothing. This is about 4month mark

2nd was the knob that sets tension for the spool. That had nearly no effect shortly after the drag issue.

3rd the reel would no longer reel in line at all. I opened it up, cleaned it again, and after reassembly everything worked again for 1 trip.

4th the reel now does this strange thing where it acts as if it has no drag at all. It wants to free spool no matter what.

I'm just crazy disappointed in it. My Piscifun Chaos XS is still running flawlessly after 10months. :/ I will try to reach out to Sougayilang support and customer service. After tht point I will update this review. Until then I suggest going to Piscifuns budget reel option.

Thought this would be a good reel for the money but I was wrong about that. Spool tension won’t even hold a 2 oz. sinker tightened all the way down. Just missed the return window before I used it and realized the problem. So now I’m stuck with a piece of junk that I can’t use.
