Is this a good shark reel?
Answer: Although I have use this real in saltwater, for wade fishing, I have not landed anything much bigger than a 6# Red Fish, so not sure how good this answer is. But, given the 22# drag rating and my experience I would say this reel is undersized for shark fishing.
Answer: It is too small a reel. Though I have not tested it maxed out yet, I have lots of experience with saltwater tackle and fishing and I feel this would not be a good pick for shark fishing.

Answer: No it doesn't have a flipping switch that you can turn on and off but the reel does flip really well by just using the thumb bar and feathering the spool with your thumb. This is an excellent flipping reel due to the highest in class drag. This is a phenomenal reel and I use mine for flipping and punching instead of my higher end reels due to the strong drag and the alloy m has 4 bearings supporting the spool instead of 2 or 3 bearings from other high dollar companies. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this reel its one of my favorite reels

Hi I used this reel five times and numbers around the break dial fell off its been more than a month . Is there a way I can get this repaired
Answer: This happened to my reel when I was spooling it up. I made sure the breaks were set on "0",then I lined up the ring setting with the mark on the dial and super glued it back in place. I hope this can help you, and " tight lines!"

RT : The real deal
For the money, this is great little reel. Very smooth and quiet, and the drag is pretty buttery. 2nd day out with it I caught a 3 lb 5 oz large mouth bass and 2 catfish over 4 lbs. Handled them really well along with a bunch more over the last 3 weeks!

I have been very pleased with this reel. It’s very comparable to reels that are two to three times the money. Every backlash I have had with it has been my own fault. Definitely recommend it

As usual Piscifun produces a great new reel. Casting is superb (a little noisy) but I can live with that. I like the large handle and the drag is smooth and precise. No bearings in the handle knobs is not something you expect in a flagship reel. Overall a great reel.

Very smooth action bait casting reel it’s light weight easy to use and excellent for crank baits with the Gear ratio I like it too it out for a test run this past week with my dad I used it for a little while and. Then let dad use it and he was the first one to land a nice bass with it he said it was. In his opinion just as good as his. Shimano Calcaka the drag it excellent very smooth and easy to adjust the brake is just a turn of a knob and gears also for making it very user friendly. The casting ability is super smooth casting and retrieving

You cannot beat this reel for the price! Its very smooth and well made. Buy a lefty and a right handed one and learn to use both! I flip, pitch and throw frogs with a left handed real, everything else with a righty. It keeps my arms from tiring out!! Ill be buying several more very soon.

I started with this brand using the phantom X, thought I wouldn't be out much money; if it was a flop. It was impressive for the price. Stepping up to the alloy M was amazing. The phantom X impressed me enough that I ordered 2 alloy Ms ( one in the 6/1 the other in the 7/1 ratios ). I paired them both with falcon rods and 30lb braid. I've got older curado reels on all-star rods with mono line. These alloy Ms were easy to set up, I've never casted a buzz bait so far. The other rod was rigged with a fluke swim Jr and I could easily cast it to docks and structure. I fished a whole Saturday with only those 2 combos. I picked up the phantom x on the piscifun rod, man it felt heavy compared to the other 2. But it is a medium/heavy rod compared to the falcons medium. I've got 7 bait casting rods on the boat now, but I'll mainly be fishing these Ms with the falcon rods. I might in the future step up to the top tier reel, but these Ms throw the lure further than I've ever been able to with other equipment. Great little reels, just lube them up before going out with them. I use "imperial case sizing wax"(reloading wax) on the brass gears, and Birchwood/Casey synthetic gun oil on the bearings. These reels deserve better braided line than what I spooled them with, and they'll soon get it
Boll Weevil : Sturdy
I wanted to use this reel before I reviewed it. It's pretty sturdy and has a strong drag. I was targeting bass but they were not very cooperative. Mostly what I ended up catching were Bowfin (mudfish) in the three to six pound range. These fish fight hard but this reel handled them quite well. I would certainly recommend this reel, this is my sixth Piscifun. All in all this is a solid reel," tight lines y'all"!

This reel is a great value for the money. It is light and compact and casts great. It is very comparable to my Daiwa CA80. Time will tell how it holds up, but I am impressed so far. It's really smooth and has handled the 2 to 3lb bass that I have caught without an issue.

This reel is feature packed!! The carbon handle is oversized and the eva grips are super comfortable! Drag Star and spool tension knows click for fine tuning. The drag itself is insanely strong and smooth. The aluminum frame and body make for a very rigid feel, it doesn't feel "cheap" in your hands and doesn't give under load. You will not find a better reel at this price!!!
