Is this a good shark reel?

Answer: Although I have use this real in saltwater, for wade fishing, I have not landed anything much bigger than a 6# Red Fish, so not sure how good this answer is. But, given the 22# drag rating and my experience I would say this reel is undersized for shark fishing.

Answer: It is too small a reel. Though I have not tested it maxed out yet, I have lots of experience with saltwater tackle and fishing and I feel this would not be a good pick for shark fishing.

Answer: This reel is designed for small to mid sized game fish, so it would be a hard NO for landing sharks.

Does this have a flippn bar?

Answer: No it doesn't have a flipping switch that you can turn on and off but the reel does flip really well by just using the thumb bar and feathering the spool with your thumb. This is an excellent flipping reel due to the highest in class drag. This is a phenomenal reel and I use mine for flipping and punching instead of my higher end reels due to the strong drag and the alloy m has 4 bearings supporting the spool instead of 2 or 3 bearings from other high dollar companies. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this reel its one of my favorite reels

Answer: I hope I understand your question. Most fishing reel today are made in Asian countries. Some Piscifun reels are made in the same factory that make some Diawa, and as far as I know those are made in China. I hope this answers your question.

Hi I used this reel five times and numbers around the break dial fell off its been more than a month . Is there a way I can get this repaired

Answer: This happened to my reel when I was spooling it up. I made sure the breaks were set on "0",then I lined up the ring setting with the mark on the dial and super glued it back in place. I hope this can help you, and " tight lines!"

Answer: You would have to contact Picsifun but I would imagine it would be difficult to get repaired, they may just send you a replacement.

Great value, casts better than other more expensive reels...love everything about this reel. Smooth, light, great breaks, easy to adjust.
Better than a three hundred dollar Lews reel I tried out but returned.

I compared it to many other reels, and this was better than all of them! The brakes work perfectly after you
get the spool tension dialed in. I was able to cast 75 yards using 30lb powerpro with a .6 oz casting plug, using a Gary Dobyns Sierra 734 rod!

Simply the best value out there for a bait caster!

The reel has a very dry feel about it. There’s a little bit of resistance in the spin function. I ordered the 7.2 and received the 8.4 instead. The lettering is difficult to make out because of the reel color. This is my 2nd Piscifun reel. The first was a much cheaper model. The torrent. I was hoping for a little better quality out of this one. Only time will tell

The only thing is it could hold a little more line. Other then that I have no complaints it's a nice and cast smooth, drag is smooth and tough, feels really solid honestly. I've only fished saltwater with it and just rinse, wipe down and it works just like it did when it arrived.

Flat out amazing. This reel at this price point is phenomenal. You can tell it has very nice bearings. Also took it apart and noticed it had a brass gear, you only see brass gears in high dollars reels. And this thing is under $90. Also has oversized drag washers. Which the reel states that it has 22lb and I can tell you it has a very smooth and strong drag. It has a low profile and fits great in the hand. Smooth casting and retrieve. It has an aluminum frame so you know it strong and will last a very long time compared to some other plastic reels that are in this price point. When I took off the braking side plate I saw that there were 12 magnets in there compared to other reels that only have about half of that in magnets. Which tells me they really knocked it out of the park with this one. Flat out amazing reel and this price point it can’t be beat.

I will be buying more from piscifun as I can tell the quality is there!

I also paired this with a piscifun serpent rod which is also an amazing rod

I wanted to use this reel before I reviewed it. It's pretty sturdy and has a strong drag. I was targeting bass but they were not very cooperative. Mostly what I ended up catching were Bowfin (mudfish) in the three to six pound range. These fish fight hard but this reel handled them quite well. I would certainly recommend this reel, this is my sixth Piscifun. All in all this is a solid reel," tight lines y'all"!

Unfortunately, I took this reel out of the box put line on it and took it on a 3 day fishing trip to the middle of the Gulf without taking it on a trial run. Because the breaking system did not function properly I was unable to use the reel and struggled through a day of fishing with it. Luckily, I had one of my old reels as a back-up and even though my old reel has issues at least I could fish without having to deal with constant backlash. I've been fishing with various bait casting reels for the past 40 years and although a backlash is to be expected every once in awhile it should not be at the rate this Piscifun Alloy M bait casting Reel created them. Believe me I spent quite a bit of time dialing this reel in and adjusting the break with no luck. When I opened the package up I remember thinking it strange that there was not an owners manual and other instruction that normally come with other new reels. What I am thinking is that this was not a new reel, as advertised, but one that was repaired (poorly) and repackaged. Be sure when buying from this provider your getting a new reel.

I wasn't sure about Piscifun reels being any good so I had to buy one to find out. Glad I did because this reel has been holding up to fighting salmon off the bank. With 22lb drag and salt water rated not to mention super light, it's been a great reel for the price. I look forward to buying the 300 series
