Is a Battle iii 8000 hs too much reel for a Shakespeare 12ft. ugly stik?

Answer: Do you mean Penn battle 11 8000 if the ugly stick matches the chest line plus the weight of the fish are trying to catch Penn battle two is heavy but the ugly stick just check the weight

Answer: 5000 ,6000 or 8000 should work fine on 12’ ugly stick.

Answer: It really depends on what you are trying to do, the 8000 is a big reel, but it you’re surf casting or kite fishing off the beach it’s not too big.

Answer: You ordered the “high speed” version of the Battle III and that one is red. Not sure why they did that. It confused me too that it might be the fierce.

Answer: I would recommend you look up what size of line is used for that type of fishing first.
