This reel lasted 5 trips fishing from my boat. Never touched water but gears still went bad. Would lock up during retrieval. The worst part is the customer service and repair. I sent the reel off for repair and it took weeks to hear anything. I had to call. Turns out they don’t even have parts available for this reel yet. I still haven’t gotten it back. Missing the hot spec season here, the reason I bought it. Fortunately, I have plenty of Shimano products that work great!!!

Smooth enough. Could have been a couple of ounces lighter with the right material mix. Still to be tested at load due to travel problem with COVID.

The reel is smooth and real light. ONLY good for fresh water, it will not last in salt water. I bought brand new last month July 16 2019. I fish twice a week on the beach surf fishing, today is August 10th, 2019. The reel is jerky and i hear squeeky sound every time spin the reel. Once awhile the gear get stuck. Will not recommend for SALT water.

This compact reel is built tough as a tank.The spool has a rubber insert and thus its braid ready.Its aluminum body is strong but still reasonably light.The reel is well sealed so should stand up well to the elements.I have two which I am using for freshwater only with braid on one and fluro on the other.
