Answer: One. The picture is showing you two views of the same reel.

Answer: This model doesn’t have finger grooves.

Answer: No, and that is a good. I got these and the 9" which does have them. I hate that one, but these are great.

does it float if dropped?

Answer: Don't know, I never dropped it. But I saw a video on YouTube (zoffinger's channel) where he dropped his for a second (with a fish hooked) and it did float.

Answer: An empty spool will barely float. I wouldn't trust it to stay afloat while fishing.

Answer: my reel is 6" on the outside, 3 3/4" on the inside opening. It is great for canoeing, backpacking.

Answer: It's six inches in diameter, 2 inches wide, and the inner diameter is 4 inches. It's great I keep it in my car I've caught more surf perch on this yo-to than on any rod and reel.

i bought two of these, mine came in very bright orange and royal blue colour. quality is much better than in the picture. Feels very solid and made with good plastic. Price is more than i wantd to pay but quality seems worth it. Happy with the colours, i do think they should offer a choice in the interest of customer service. 5 star review though

I'm not actually sure they are the same brand, they look nothing alike.

I recently ordered two of these and one in the 9" size. I received the 9" a couple days earlier and promptly gave a negative review. My first ever review. I thought it only fair to give a deserved positive review here.

The 6" looks nothing like the 9", happily. Never to sure about some of these things you get on places like Amazon. I'm not at all sure they are the same brand.

The 9" I received looked nothing like the picture or what I wanted, as well as being too small, smaller than a 9" of another brand.

These two 6" do however look just like the picture, and were pretty much what I was expecting and what I wanted. I will probably be getting a couple more, and I would definitely recommend them.

If anyone is wondering they will easily hold 250' of 30lb. mono line, probably over 300'.

Looking forward to bringing in some eater size catfish on these. Where I fish there is the possibility of hooking something much larger than eater, could be interesting.

If you're looking at these and not sure, go for it. I think you'll be happy.

What can I say. Is it better than the traditional beer can? Yes, yes sir it is. Why, because if you actually catch something big your going to be glad you dropped $4. I use it off of an SUP and pulled in a 24 Lb Striped bass.

Works great. I use mine for holding spearfishing flashers, chum lines, etc, and it does the job well. Do note that it comes with NOTHING...it's just the hand reel.

It's a 4" inside (6 outside) diameter reel, since the description fails to mention this. The model is like the red reel that pops up, not the blue one pictured. For something that depends on the smoothness of the spooling side for performance, I was somewhat disappointed with the molding burrs on the inside of the spool and the unevenness of the outer rim. It only took a few minutes with a file to smooth it all out, but still a sloppy molding job.

i recommend drilling two small holes close to each other to provide a solid anchor point for your line. just use a small drill bit on the inside rim of the reel

Mr. Power : Nice reel if you grew up using these.

I used to use reels like this as a kid in Venezuela, but the ones I got there were better made than this. The plastic is poorly moulded and you will need to finish it yourself and well as make the holes for the line.

Unit is basic, no frills and works for my needs. Color shown is light blue, but actual unit received was orange. Description says "assorted colors", so just know, you may wind up with black, red, orange, blue, who knows.....

This thing is ideal for the man or woman who has to have a spare fishing pole tucked under his truck seat for "fishing emergencies". I have grown to truely love mine. I shaved the little bit of manufacturing quality control plastic from the seem lines which I was expecting from a low price product. I loaded mine up with 80lb Walmart braided line. It took about 5 times more than a typical fishing pole. I didn't need to put that much on there but I wanted that much on there. Attached to my line is a swivel and clasp combo so I can quickly switch out my leader lines (which I use 30lb leaders for a weak point for the line to break in a snag) which has worked perfectly for me. It works perfect for crabbing or fishing

So far I’m thoroughly impressed with this hand reel! It’s cheaply priced but the quality is nice. I did some modifications which took a couple minutes. I shaved down the mold line with a razor and cut 2 “line holders” in the back lip. I used electrical tape for the line seat. I then used 30lbs mono to a weight the tied 30lbs flouro to my bait. My initial casts in the yard were about 30 yards! You can stop the line with you thumb. Very excited to fish Curacao with these next week!

I USE IT FOR HOLDING LONG (40 FT) LEADER LINE AFTER USING IT FOR MUTTON SNAPPER FISHING . I ONLY WIISHED THEY HAD HOLES OR SLOTS ON THE SPOOL FOR HOLDING THE HOOKS. THEY ARE A GREAT VALUE . DRILLED MY OWN HOLES
