This seems to be a very nice reel. It is a bit of a stretch to release the bail and pick up the line with your finger.
If you have large hands and long fingers it it won't be an issue. The mechanics of the reel are great. The ergonomics can use a little work. Keep in mind the fish don't care.

This reel is lightweight, and it spins smoothly and quietly.
Fishing season doesn't open up for two more weeks, and I plan on being out there on opening day.
So for right now, I've been making sure that my gear is in top condition, cleaned and lubricated.
I took my reels to a bait and tackle shop, and had them replace the line on my old one, and I also had two new reels spooled with different sizes of line.
Afterwards, while practicing casting in my driveway, I had a concern about pulling new line across a rough concrete surface.
That's where this reel has an advantage over my others. Because it came with a spare spool, I am able to simply swap out the spool and save myself a 20 minute drive to the tackle shop.
I'm anxious to try this new reel at the lake.

Sometimes if you don't pay a lot of money it tells with the quality of the product. This is not the case with this reel. It is ultra smooth and powerful. It out performs my pricier reels. Wonderful product!

I am not a big fishing person, but I plan to do alot more of it as soon as it warms up. Really like this reel, it's good looking, if that matters. Also, well made, I can't find any defects. Nice that it comes with an extra spool. You could load up a couple different lines and switch them out easily when needed.
As far as working, the reel has a very smooth action to it. Did have to tighten up the handle, no biggie, to be expected, and after that, it doesn't hit on the spool. Not sure if I am a fan of the stiff foam handle, but it's not bad. Just need to get use to it.
Guess it's good it comes with a storage bag, though don't see using it, but might be handy.
