$3 a package. Good find??
For sure!
I would've bought all of them at that price!
I bought 3 packs.

Go back and get the rest of them, I doubt you will find them cheaper. Just checked my Wally World tonight, $6.42 a pack.
Great find, especially for one of his best colors.
Walmart practically just let you steal from Yamamoto. Some of the bait shops up by the lake sell those for $8.49 a pack!
Check the number in the package. I know on a lot of their soft plastics they give you a "Great" price but the quantity in each package is less. I know it happens with YUM brand baits but i never checked on the yamamoto
Package says "10 ea." so looks like a normal Senko
pack. Wow, what a price. I'd have probably bought
the lot, too, at that crazy low price!!
Yeah, that's def a deal. I'm usually happy if I can find them for $5 a pack.
Which walmart??
Buy every bag, every color. That had to be a mistake.
Mine didn't have the Senkos but it had some older YUM stuff in a box for $1.86 a pack. I needed it like I needed a hole in my head. But 2 packs were some swimbaits about 6 inches long so I justified it that way. I think at $3 a bag for Senkos I would have loaded up too.
They are 10pks. These were on a center display for $3 and they also had them hanging on the fishing isle for $6.43 same color same quanity. Found them at Walnut Ridge Arkansas.
That's a smoking deal! It's always great to find stuff like that - just doesn't happen often enough! lol
buy every pack they have for that price.
great find . mine doesn't offer that price. same situation a few months back posted on some rods. mine didn't offer them either . some one please contact the main office and notify them I am being discriminated against!!
can you price match the other ones?
I have to wonder if the $3 deal was a mistake. My local Walmart had them for something like $6. I would have bought 10 packages easy at that price.
Yes. Rummage those bargain bins. Every now and then a gem shows up.
I need to go check my local Walmart more
I bought a dozen packs of KVD Rodents for $3 a bag today.
Can you get me like 10 bags?
Mine had them "on sale" for $6... I was less than impressed.
I stopped by one near my gf's house yesterday, they had a kvd 2.5 squarebill for $3, treble hook packs for $2 (so I grabbed all 4) and other assorted goodies on clearance. The lady watched me walk around the rack for ten minutes, then when I went to pay, she said there's two more bins in the back still to be put out.
After work I stopped at the Walmart nearest my house, and the same trebles were there for $2.50, so I bought another two packages and a 600 yd spool of yozuri hybrid for $5. Walmart finally came through for me.
My walmart had a clearance the other day and I picked up multiple sizes and colors of Yumbrella rigs for $2.50 and $3.00 a piece. I could see where they had been regularly marked at $5, $8 and $12 depending on size. Also picked up KVD cranks in 2.0 and 2.5 for $3
Another score!
Wiggle wart $1
SK spinner .75
Rapala $1.50
I once bought a Falcon Bucoo Micro Guide Casting Rod 7' Medium for $29.99 bucks. (Retail at $119)
I knew there was a mistake on it but I wanted to see if this would go though the casher.
This guy looked at rod and looked at me with a long pause....
Said "This doesn't look right....this rod looks ....like but whatever...." and rang it up.
4 years later - it still my square bill cranking rod with Abu Garcia Wrench.
you guys should really be checking every local walmart right around now. I found fireline crystal for $8 in all sizes but went back and someone cleared them out. Got KVD hooks for $2-3, kvd shallow running crankbait $5, gamagatsku hooks $1, normal fireline $8, big game mono $5 all sizes, several packs of chigger craws for $3 they also had a bunch of lews combos for $20-25 but they felt junky so i passed.
my walmart has nothing :/
Don't think there is a mistake. Stopped by a local Wally World yesterday to get my grandsons a few more things for trout fishing and try to help a guy on here with an SK Crankbait he's looking for and came across a few things.
I picked up two SK KVD 1/2 oz. spinnerbaits for $3 and two Bill Lewis Rat-L-Traps in red patterns that I can use in some tidal fishing. They were blowing out their TrueTurn hooks for $1 a pack. Not Gammys but I don't have a problem with them.
Im not a big fan of Wally World but finally found something there I can use for a cheap price.
one of the three walmarts within 20 miles of me has no fishing clearance rack (yet or already finished). Another one is 50 cents higher on everything for some reason.
you have to ask where the clearance aisle is. several walmarts by me have a dedicated aisle with open boxed or clearance stuff. this is where i found all my stuff.

What a deal. I'd been eyeing up a falcon boocoo 7' Med. spinning Crankbait Rod at Wally for awhile. They had it down to $59, got it for $44. No mistake about it, told mgr. that's what I give him to walk out of store right then with it. No idea how I came up with $44. He said yes. I plan to use it for 1.5 flat sides and 1.5 square bills. First micro guide Rod I own. I will make it work. I'll figure what line combination it likes. $129 to $44 I feel is the only real good deal I've ever gotten from Wally.
Awesome Bro --- Im surprised that they took your price of $44. Now get that bad boy on the water soon !
We surely lucked out on this

This is true. I have 2 Walmarts close to me. One has their fishing clearance items in the general clearance section. The other has a dedicated sporting goods clearance section with camping, fishing, hunting and boating items right by the section where you can pick up fishing/hunting licenses.
The local Walmart near me how has tungsten weights. This is the first time I've seen them carry tungsten weights.
I could be way way off base here but I don't think many guys (at least in my area) are running to Wally looking to buy Falcon Rods. Don't know why they are there in the first place. That Rod I bought sat there for two seasons. With hang tags and all on it. There was two other higher end rods there also that sat there at least that long. But A Zebco $33 combo they'll sell a few cases.
Got all this for $25.00. Clearance rack had all sizes and types of Trokar, VMC, Lazer, some elaZtech plastics, and other random things all for $1.00!!!
I didn't have a cart so this was all I could fit in my hands walking to the cashier. I may go back tomorrow too good to pass up!
d**n ...I was just at two of the local Walmarts and they had nothing there ...I need to find some good ones
I stopped by Walmart today for this very reason, and the first thing I noticed is they are doing a total store reset. Isles moved, product being cleared out. I got excited until I got to the fishing section and they had nothing on sale. Bummer!

My local walmart did this recently and the same results, no sale. Walmart still beats most places for price though.
My Walmart had tons of Gammy, Owner, and KVD hooks for .75 a pack. I loaded up on Owner TwistLocks, Gammy and KVD finesse wide gaps, straight shanks, and wide gap worm hooks. They also had PP Slick 8 for $3 a spool, I bought 3, I have a couple buddies that I know could use some. The guy working here told me they're stocking up on some newer products and moving old stuff out so keep an eye on your WalMart, might be clearancing out soon
Tonight's finds. Got it all
for $20. Prices were actually lower than what the tags show.
I found the clearance aisle tonight... I'm really proud of that Yamamoto crankbait. The only thing that wasn't a lower price was the crankbait, all the hooks were from 75 cents to a dollar.
D A M N, I robbed the Walmart store with this !
The price was lower than the tag price which caught me by surprise but Fack it , Ill take it !

Didn't know there was a thread for Walmart scores. Picked these up today
Sure enough, Clearance Aisle finds galore. As mentioned, everything rang up for even less. The $3.00 Watermelon/Black Senkos were actually $1.00. I bought everything they had.
All hardbaits in photo including Yamamoto were $2.00 each. 110 yards of Trilene Mono, XT was $.75. Insane.

Nice. I've picked up some of those Cotton Cordell's for $2. They may be cheap, but they'll be fun baits to throw since you won't have to worry about the cost of losing them.
If you get a chance to get back to that Wally World to dig through that $1.96 Cotton Box of baits look for the Grappler Minnow that is the tan/brown top over chartreuse belly and buy it. I find it to be a half decent bait. That perch pattern works well also. I'm not throwing that stuff that often but I like to tie them on during a tuff bite, most times that odd ball stuff saves the day or gets something started. I find the Cotton Cordell stuff to run pretty decent. Got my grandsons a bunch of stuff in this recent clearence. Picked them up some 1/4 oz. super spots for $1.50 ea., every pattern was clearenced out.
I have been visiting my Walmart clearance isles on a weekly basis. It seems they lower the prices every week. I got Gamakatsu drop shot hooks for .75 (last week $1, the week before $2) a pack this week. Trilene XL 14lb test for 1.50 a spool and Gulp Crawfish attractant for $2.50 (last week 4.50)
Still waiting on the power pro to get lower. Still $12 a spool.
On 3/26/2017 at 9:31 AM, Finesse Wayfarer said:Still waiting on the power pro to get lower. Still $12 a spool.
Me too ...I have been going back every week, I need two/three 50 to 65 pound braid line for frogs. Then Im set for the next three years.
I hope someone isnt reading this forum from my area.
I like to be a thrifty bass fisherman, just stay out of my walmart
I would like to get to one of these nice Wally's that you have. The two in my immediate are no prize. Nowhere near the selection you guys have. Did pull off a few good finds because of this post. 1/0 to 5/0 various Gammy and EC Worm hooks for $.50-.75 pk. VMC ds hooks $1.00, #6 bulk trebel pk. $1.00,Original Super Spots for $1.50 and Rat-L-Traps for $2.00, Shad Raps $3.50, Missile Pitchin Craws $1.00 pk.
Nothing I really needed but a few extra things to try. A few things I can give someone to try.
Ok all you Canadian Walmart, they have started their clearances up here. At least for me in Guelph. I picked up Rapalas half price...husky jerks, shadow raps, xraps, squarebills, rattling raps...etc. Some other stuff they sold out though.
On 3/16/2017 at 6:55 AM, Alrab23 said:$3 a package. Good find??
Sick. Our Walmart in New Mexico started clearing out I guess it's old stock three weeks ago and they had these for three bucks also, I was broke unfortunately but went back two days ago and they still had em for some reason...but this time for a buck, along with the kvd swimming shads and 1.5's, they had the havoc soft plastics for 75 cents and all the power pro braids was 1.50 or 3 bucks. This time I had money lol. They no longer have any soft plastics.?...or crankbaits...and I'm eating ramen all week. Mark it on your calendar this happens twice a year there...well here it does.
Ours marked the senkos down to $6, but they didn't put any kvd stuff out.
Got the PowerPro 150yd 15lb for $7.00 today at another nearby WalMart. Gamakatsu Octopus 6 and 3/0 for 1.00.
1/4oz and 1/8oz Arkie jig head 5-packs for $.50. Hula Popper and Jitterbug for $3.17 (not clearance).
I got the power pro 65lb for $5 a spool today, bought 2, red label for $3 and the gamatsu hooks for $1. I spent $41 total for 7 spools of line and a bunch of hooks.

They have quite a few things on clearance here but not the Xraps or shadow raps. A few Husky jerks and original floaters as far as Rapala goes.

I'm trying to talk myself not picking up more. ?
Here in NorCal, pretty much nothing is on sale. A couple of Storm baits were $1 each but long gone. Everything else looks like it's full retail still.
I went to the local Walmart on lunch. They had RatlTraps for $3.00 and a bin of cheap rods for $15. There was one decent Daiwa Jupiter Rod ($50.00 MSRP) for $15.00. It was a 7'6" H and I was interested in it for a cheap flipping/pitching rod. I was examining the eyes, and then I noticed that the reel seat was actually not aligned with the eyes. I feel bad for some non fisherman who buys that for someone, and then only when someone tries to put the reel on notices that this rod cannot be used. I mention this as a word of caution, make sure to check out all your items carefully prior to your purchase.
I saw the exact same model rod and couldn't for the life of me understand how to adjust it to line up correctly. also saw plenty of broken tips there.

The top part of the reel seat can be adjusted. The bottom part of the reel seat cannot be adjusted. And trust me, I tried very hard to see if the bottom reel seat could move. It did not.
Reminder to all that it appears the deep discount fishing stuff has been moved to the Clearance aisle, if your store has one.
Not in the regular aisle, though the $1.96 Cotton Cordell's on the bottom shelf are pretty cool, too.
I took a trip to my local Walmart after work today. I have had my eye on the Daiwa Jupiter rod that you mentioned. It has been on clearance for $35 down from $49.99
It finally dropped to $25 this week. Half price was good enough for me. I picked up a 7' MH casting rod for pitching worms and jigs.
Well just got back from mine. kvd swivels $.50, Cajun 30lbs line for my catfishing $2, assorted bullet weights pack of like 50 $1, tons of fire line for $4, a little POED cause I bought a roll of 6lbs floro for leaders at $11 at a Walmart with no clearance aisle and the other one had it for $6, tons of sten mono for $5-6. someone must have a lot of rods or reselling it cause they had about 50 rolls of big game mono for $5 a few days ago and its all gone except the large diameters. grabbed 2 spray bottles of Berkley gulf night crawler and crawfish for $2 idk why I got that crap but oh well.
I need a mod to ban me from here cause you guys are making me spend way too much money. LOL.
new spinning combo-$99-paid $60

several crank baits--clearance-$3-5 piece
line-$5 clearance

Don't blame the forum, blame the bait monkey !
Thanks to you guys I just saved myself a whole bunch of money. Haha all of this for 30 dollars. Set for the season!
Does every Wal Mart have a clearance aisle? And is this clearance aisle near the fishing section or is it in another part of the store with a bunch of other clearance stuff like holiday stuff?

Go back on Saturday they'll most likely be cut in half again. I picked up boocoo Gammies in the beginning of the last week on clearance. Went back on Saturday to pick the grandsons up a bunch of Super Spots and the hooks were 50% less again. Just check it out again if its not far out of the way.

what would you use those rattlnin and scatter raps for?
$230 worth of gammy octopus hooks for $50. Won't have to buy salmon hooks for a while.

The Rattlin raps will use like any other lipless crank. Yo yo or ripping or even a standard retrieve. Scatter rap I'd prob use in more open water as I would think if I fished it like a square bill through a stump field might be an issue with snags.

The Scatter Raps really have a tendency to kick out wide and I've grown to like them for covering water on rocky flats. They mimic a scurrying crayfish well and you can lightly weight the front hook to create a slower rise. It's a pretty nifty crankbait.

I am going to have to go back and recheck my local stores.
For those who may not have realized, this is a nationwide clearance sale (actually, two, since Canada is having its own sale, as shown in posts from @Mumbly and @lmbfisherman).
There is almost always some kind of store-specific clearance and/or old clearance stock left in the system and "rotting away" on the floor at any given WW.
However, the current thread was started and the fire is being fed by an ongoing, nationwide effort to refresh WW's fishing inventory, and in many cases significantly reset individual stores. At least, that's my take after a little cross-country field research. I also grabbed $3 green senko packs at some store way out in the midwest.
I believe that there is effectively a "list" of potential products on sale across the country. Which specific items are on sale in a given store will depending on many factors, the store's inventory vs planned inventory, foot traffic, etc.
The items dropped progressively in price over the past two months. That means you might have missed the boat in a heavy traffic store when some item, say a Yumbrella rig, went from $13.xx to $9.00 and all were snapped up. It also means that some great deals remain out there, but your success may vary widely.
Some stores that really specialize in fishing will have a larger selection and potential chance to have stuff left (e.g. Bandit 100 and 200 cranks for $1 each, but good luck finding a WW store that carries Bandit cranks). I used to know of one such rare store, but I can say with certainty none are left due to the clearance.
Plenty of stores, of course, will have next to nothing on sale.
An interesting thing is that some stores have already put tackle that was on deep clearance back on the floor, neatly arranged on pegs, at full price!
As for where you'll find the clearance stuff? Might be a clearance aisle, but in many cases, will be in or adjacent to the fishing section. Depends on the store.
Rods, I suspect, are not going through an identical clearance process to the tackle, because the selection of rods on sale seems to be limited.
At this point, it is late in the sale. Recently I got an email that said "last chance for clearance!" I wonder where the failed (i.e. not sold) clearance goes? I don't yet have an answer for that one. I have, on more than one occasion, stood at the checkout with say, a KVD crankin rod that has wallowed at the back for at least a year, or a pink saltwater spook in Iowa, or ice fishing line in south Florida (that one blew my mind), only to be told the product is not in the system and the product needs to be whisked away to "collections" as if it is hazardous material, presumably to go to the island of lost and forgotten tackle.
Good luck!

Anyway, good luck!
auctions or something. There is a couple out by me that holds a large yard sale a few times a year and has 2 enclosed car haulers full of hunting, fishing and camping stuff and everything is new in packages. I got several spools of line for cheap, broadheads, vests, clothes, calls, etc all very cheap. I try and support them when I see them out. I asked where they got all the stuff and pretty much got a half axx answer and by looking at it the items all came from Walmart.

Well, when you see them pull up and unpack KVD and Jason Christie crankin rods and a couple of pink spooks, let them know you've got a buddy in GA that's been waiting to get reunited with "his" stuff, bargain hard with them and make them an offer they can't refuse. I'm ready to drive up to Ohio to get those pink spooks back!
Well no ugly stick but did find these a buck each
Went back to a local Wal Mart and asked if they had a clearance aisle, lady pointed me at a section with some clearance balloons and I got excited...until I walked over and saw nothing but candles and some kitchen/houseware items. No clearance out here on the west coast yet!
Finally got one of these awesome Walmart deals I keep hearing about. Did some searching online and found that a few of the stores here had the 6'-6" MH Lighting Rod Shock for $9. Picked up three of them.

Looks like a great find and I am glad you were able to find them. Tulsa has always been tricky for me finding sale items. I always seem to be a bit late.
Went and checked a smaller Walmart that I had forgotten about and I am glad I did. They didn't have much but picked up 3 items. The purple ghost I was really excited about.
Last trip to Walmart today as the clearance blitz on fishing gear seems to be dying out.
I scored a 7' M/F Abu Garcia Vigilante casting rod for $19.00 This rod is fantastic looking and the action seems to be just what I was looking for in a baitcasting rod.
I tried for another berkley shock in store pick up but after making me wait 3 days they sent me an email message saying this item is out of stock.
I gave up on the power pro going any lower than $12
My local had $1 mustad kvd hooks on clearance. Swivel shots, jika rigs, trailer hooks, etc. Also, spools of big game were $1.50.
just got home from there. 2 nights ago they had about 15 spools of 30lbs fireline, 10-15 spools of 14bs fireline and some others mixed in. all are gone today. It kind of annoyed me cause I needed 1-2 of them and now someone will sell them at the flee market or online. those spools were $4. a lot of big game mono and Cajun mono in the high test ratings and some in the 10-14lbs. seems like its almost over as far as deals. I need to find a cheaper rod for crankbaits as someones giving me another baitcaster. I have the medium heavy shock rod but was told its not good for crankbaits.
75 cents a pack for the hooks and a dollar per spool for the line! They had way more than what I bought but I should be set for the decade.

Had, I repeat, had to go to New Jersey to help a friend. While there I stopped in the Cinnaminson walmart on RT. 130 just to see what they had. Well what I found was great. They had Strike King tungsten weights on sale for 1.50 a pack. Just to let you know I got the only pack of 1/2 ounce and the last 3 packs of 3/8 ounce. But there are plenty of 1/4 ounce left. They are back by the fishing section in a display in the middle of the aisle.
Who says nothing great comes out of New Jersey!
Went to the Woodland Hills Walmart in Tulsa and completely struck out. I am going to try a couple of more walmarts today, so hopefully I can get into something.
