Just wondering how big and how full all ur boxes are?
How big, LOL!
Whelp, lets put it this way......An 18 foot ProCraft and a 16 foot Tracker Grizzley. On occasion they don't even hold it all!
Here's the bag I take with me. I've got other smaller bags with spare stuff, but this is what I take in the boat. Kind of funny considering that some days I toss the same plastic worm all day.
Stupid d#$%n Monkey!
I have a complete closet, to my wife dismay, full of all my gear. A picture would not do it justice
My tackle box is in my avatar.
Haha. This is gonna kill you guys. I'm a bank fishermen and carry only one "tacklebox." My "tacklebox" is actually a spinnerbait box. On the left side, I have mostly spinnerbaits, extra skirts, extra blades, trailer hooks, a crankbait, a topwater, a sammy, and popn toad. On the right side, in all that mess, I've got mostly soft plastics, 2 buzzbaits, 3 or 4 cranks, horny toads, hollow body frogs, jigs, and glass rattles. If you'll notice the tie around the box... the most ghetto shoulder strap ever constructed. This box, and its contents are all that I need when I hit the water. Check it out.
i do a good mix of both boat and shore fishing so i travel relatively light. i only take the stuff i use nothing more
top is mostely in line's,. also has some jigs and other lure types,P.S it is missing that chatterbait at the bottom (on my pole)
topwater, spinners, cranks, buzz, terminal, plastics( also missing some tackle here to)
all my plastics
QuoteI have a complete closet, to my wife dismay, full of all my gear. A picture would not do it justice
I too have a closet full of tackle! My wife is constantly nagging me to move it so she can get in the closet to hang up my clean clothes... : : : : :
Next house I buy will have one room devoted to my fishing addiction!
LOL!
i have 4 boxes, a bag binder thingy, and another bag that just sits on my work bench that is overfllowing with plastics. i have 3 crankbait boxes, a spinnerbait box.
here is a pic of one of my plastics boxes. i have many backups of each of these baits in the box. i have at least 10 times more plastics....and i have a $90 cabelas order coming tomorrow :-[
here is another box.

Same here 62 rods 4 hard tackle boxes 6 soft ones 3 rubbermaid contianers filled with lures 8 pistol cases with my reels id need to take um outside to do a pick of all that i have ...And i still BUY more each week it never ends
62 rods!?!?!?!
Here's two of many.
Jig/Spider jig box.
Soft plastic box.
I'm ole school when it comes to tackle boxes BUT I'm seriously considering move to a soft bag system for the versatility.
Yea, I know,...a little obsessive/compulsive with the organization,...can't help it,..LMAO
The Low Budget Ziplok bag system (Soft sided) ;D

Now that's a soft bag system I hadn't thought about..........with this type, the possibilities are endless. LOL
Look out Russ has a Shimano tackle box does this make him part of the POSSE?

Them Ziplocks are the best the gallon one can hold a lot of stuff and u can mark it with marker
My mom bought a like shoekeeper thing that is like a bench and has a storage compartment inside of it. Well once we stopped using it lets just say I took control of it. I store my excess tackle in the storage compartment then I have a soft tackle bag I take either to the bank or to the boat. I try to keep it as light as possible so I only have 3 3700 boxes in it and my hook box and a scale, scissors, etc. I will try and get a pic up sometimes. I am very proud of the organization .
Russ, up here what else is there to do during the winter than organize your fishing stuff??? ;D
Well I dont have a pic to post but well my 16ft boat barely holds it all. Ive got 14 3600 boxes and 8 worm wallets. Packed. The bait monkey visits me often.
Not including whats filled in the boat! Here is my wall of shame.
QuoteNot including whats filled in the boat! Here is my wall of shame.
That looks like the wall at my local tackle shop!!! LMAO ;D
Isn't that what the garage is for? ;D
umm alpha, I think you could open up a baitshop!

QuoteAll hail alpha!! cool garage man! is there anyroom for the car?
That not the garage! ;D That is my room in the basement for me and me only. Got my workbench in there, Gunsafe, Computer and my hobby stuff.
I made sure I had a room for me to escape from the wife and kids.
I would need a wide angle lens to get it all. :-/
Over the years I've used a few different Tackle Systems, but during the last couple of years
I've been leaning heavily on small "Plano Magnums" that I preload from bigger stashes (labeled to suit).
Below is my "soft-plastics" table, a dumping ground for soft-plastics that have already been retired for one reason or another.
Roger
I only use what has worked for me in the past. My box looks shameful! I don't have a lot of money, like most people. So I buy basically what I can afford at the time. I do have essentials though... I have my top water baby torpedo, snag proof frog, several worms, zoom black chartreuse lizards, some bobbers, and pretty much ever size jig, from a 1/32-1/4 oz. I also have a small spinner beetle, and one rapala shad. Anything with gamakatsu hooks is fantastic! And I try to purchase those as I find the money! I also have a couple rattle baits made by renegade, firetiger, and golden shad. I also like to rig up my own bait styles on occasion from lures that I retired, or were so worn out from old age, and not being taken care of. Like if I feel like it would be a good day to run a spinner, I run the spinner off an old rooster tail, on a worm, or something similar. Ingenuity is my persuit! I also carry with me spider wire line in 8lb test, brass eagle 17lb test, and berkley vanish transition gold in 4lb. Basically, I don't need much more, as I am not going for fish over 10lbs... lol I don't even know why I bought the 17lb... I don't have a reel to suit that heavy of line! lol I just have everything I need packaged up in an older plano magnum double sided box, and a smaller box for crappie jigs/bass items... Oh, and you can't forget a couple tiny bobbers for those days that you want to dangle a crawler! Pictures soon.
QuoteAll hail alpha!! cool garage man! is there anyroom for the car?
Dude, you are a lucky man! ;D
Thanks for the kind words guys, but to be honest...75 percent of the stuff I buy on clearance or with coupons or closeouts. I take advantage of those $10 off $25 at dicks all the time I get a coupon. You can buy $25 worth of stuff for $15. If the stuff is on sale too even better. For example this week Dicks sporting goods had 20% off all Yamomoto baits. So a bag of regular senkos is 4.78 with the 20 percent off. You buy 6 bags for 28.68....use the coupon it comes out to 18.68 plus tax for 6 bags of senkos. thats 3.11 a bag.
This is a no brainer guys. Just patience and smart shopping. Zoom products are off the hook. they start at 2.99 -20% thats 2.40 a bag times 11 bags equals 26.40 - $10 bucks with coupon= $16.40 for 11 bags of zoom Thats $1.49 a bag.
HOW QUICKLY A WALL FILLS UP WITH SAVINGS LIKE THAT.
With 2 quick trips, I put 17 bags of platics on my wall. I give half the stuff away to little kids and nephews and stuff...all the time. Its all about the fishing
Are those dancin eels on your wall? :-?
Allen
Mine isn't as elaborate, just some stuff I have collected over the course of a couple of years. I don't own a boat so I tend to travel light.
Mine - boat is filled with 50+ pounds of tackle, including 25 rods between the wife and I. Those shelves in the back are full of "extras" (there's shelves directly on the opposite wall too) - enough lures to last a very long time! OY!

How do you like that flooring in your garage?

lol...found mine at the lake. It was full of the smaller yamamoto senkos. I gave those to a kid that always fishes the shore there. I asked his mom if we could get him off land a yr or 2 ago but he cannot go on a boat due to a skin condition. He can't get wet. Wierd huh? Something about the way his skin regulates water penetration. If he happened to fall in, he's in big trouble. Poor guy. So we hook him up whenever we can.
5bass, although many of you don't know this,...is a Low Budget Hooker also. I'm thinking he's going to need a team shirt asap
I love it. Easy to clean, durable, and it looks great!
I have a 21' Triton and a one car garage size outbuilding and they are running over into my 30' X 50' pole barn. Way too much $#!t.

That is what bass fishing is all about! It's better to give something, to someone who is in a, "special" condition, even if it's just hope! You do a lot for the kid, and it seems like you found what it truly means to be a fisherman! Finding things is definitely great, but giving is much more rewarding! I try to keep everyone I fish with happy, and allow them the use of my gear, when and if they need it! I can't use everything that I have in my box, and I would rather see it go to good use, somewhere else, and maybe for another person! I have a little superstition about using a bait... If I use it, and cast it 300 times, without a bite, I push it to another cubby in the box, and forget about it... I have an 11 year old brother in law, and he loves using those baits, even if he doesn't catch anything! He will throw them out for hours!
Just this last weekend, I was using a bait I hadn't used in a while, and caught a 4.3 female, and he was all excited. I reached down to the end of his line, and bit off the lure he was using, then mine, and swapped them out. He threw that thing for 4 hours! Sadly, he didn't catch anything... It's ok though, we had fun! I just need to find a local store that carries the Berkley Beast... lol I seriously love that bait! Caught me, my second largest bass, this season! And the funny thing, I only threw it out, maybe 10 times before the strike! Great stuff!
I am lucky to have the wonderful companion, as she spends so much time with me, in the store, and buys whatever I want... She doesn't care, as long as I am happy, doing something that I have a new found love for! As I get older, I find myself out in nature more and more... And along side me, is Jordan, my 11 year old brother in law... I always let him use my tackle! Maybe one day, he will credit me for him catching that world record bass, of his!

That is the cleanest garage I have ever seen in my life!!! Tell us the truth. Did you straighten up for these pics?
My tackle box consists of a 2 and a half car garage(no cars fit) an 18.5 foot bass boat and 2 rooms of the house. Time to have a garage sale ;D
enough of this, we want to see The Natural's and Redlineroberts pics!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
I would have to take a photo of my garage with an extreme wide angle lens to show you all of my tackle. Where on earth did it all come from and how did it get here?

Thank you, much appreciated! I have felt like a member of this community from the first minute viewing this forum! Lots of down to earth people, with the same love that I share for bass fishing!
I think the most impressive thing I've seen in this thread is Glenn's immaculately clean garage.
LOL!! You guys crack me up.
Yes, it still looks that way, and no, I didn't clean it up for the picture. You may note other details, however, besides the floor. I also textured and painted the walls, added hanging decorator light fixtures, and installed molding (baseboards) all around. The garage is also insulated and heated, and I have cable hookup in the far corner near the ceiling - future home of a TV. I also have a hookup for a refrigerator. I'm known in the neighborhood as "The house with The Garage". LOL!
Glen,
VERY NICE tackle box! I like how tidy you keep it and the place you store it. I need to get one of those.
Low_Budget_Hookers,
Its funny what Wickyman was saying. I've only been here a short time but just in the last week I've gotten wind of you. Seems like you do alot for kids and your always ready to give something to a Angler in need. It sound like your head and your heart are working in sync. Alot of people get caught in the negatives , I think you live on the other side. It's nice.
This is where I have everthing, pick what I need to take depending on what boat and where I am going. I finially got organized.
great looking Tackle box HPBB.
We need a thread for TACKLE STATIONS now I think.
My only question is.... What can you catch with half a dog? JK
thanks Cravin.
The Dog? with that half , you catch a lot of brown trout, he leaves them in the yard all the time. ;D ;D
He was wrestling with a cardboard box when I took that picture.
Good answer , I'm still giggling ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
lol the title of HPBB's pic is "Fishing Store" I think that says it all.
That is what my wife calls it. "fishing store"
;D At least now I don't feel so crazy about my Tackle Bag. The fish scale last year reported 43 pounds, sick I know but I cant help myself! Thats just my main bag, I have another smaller BPS bag with my soft plastics. Maybe some day I will realize that "The one with most lures wins" isn't a true statement especially when you figure out that the fish in that body of water on that particular day only wnat one thing.
I do not have alot of tackle but here are a few pics of what I do have
I could always use some more.. ;D

Sorry didn't see your post earlier when I browsed this thread. I honestly liked to show my tackle when it was about 1/4 of the size it has grown to now, but now I'm afraid others will think I'm being pompous or bragging, and I don't want to come across that way. I'm putting some shelves in my closet right now, but if you want to see I guess I can post a pic later this evening.
This what I carry on a minimum. I have closet with the with a "Fishing Tackle Retirement Center".
Opened.......

This sounds like a man who has spent some time in the doghouse. I've used the "working in the garage" excuse to get away from the wife and kid before, but never have I thought about turning my garage into a guest house. ;D
What I usually take with me in the boat. Its old but it holds enough.

Ok, looking at all of these nice rooms/garage sections of your houses, make me want to show what I use... Maybe later this afternoon I will have space on the camera disk... lol The only thing I have that is absolutely full!
wow some of you guys sure do have ALOT of stuff!!...here is mine...

I'll give a little insight into how I organize. I have two bags I utilize, which you will see at the left of the pic below. The top one is cranks, and the bottom one is plastics. To the right of my bags are my crankbait backstock, with my plastic backstock residing in my closet. My bags contain 7 or so boxes each, categorized by type. My crankbait bag has a trap box, jerkbait box, chartreuse shallow, shad shallow, medium diver, deep diver, and large diver boxes. It would be a bit ridiculous to take a pic of the contents of every single box, so I'll just show some examples.
Each box, i.e. shallow chartreuse, shallow shad, etc., are a mixture of my top producing baits. Some examples are below...
my shallow chartreuse...
shallow shad...
traps...
You get the idea. I generally carry two of each color of a bait in my carry bags, sometimes 3 or 4 if it is an extremely hot bait for me. When a bait is lost, I go to my backstock. My backstock crankbaits are divided by brand, and each brand gets its own box.
BDS and RC backstock...
Bagleys backstock...
Bandit backstock...
Bill Norman, Rapala, Bill Lewis, etc....you get the idea.
My closet holds my plastic backstock. I use the 3.5" deep 3700's, and I can squeeze 40 or so bags in each box, and well over a hundred bags in the rubbermaid tubs.
Here is my miscellaneous shelfs...
that is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
QuoteThe whole box.
Nice old possum belly George and in great condition!
One in that condition can fetch quite a price with collectors or on Ebay.
I remember when you were really stylin if you had one but you had to have a pretty wide boat in order to fully deploy both "wings"! ;D
d**n natural, you make my "box" look like a child's toy chest! *tears* It's absolutely the largest collection of lures, that I myself, have ever seen! You really love the sport huh? Keep on fishing bro! Very nice!
Hey Natural - - how do you like the WEC Z-Flats? I picked up a few this year - and is that a Bee-Zee Flat up there in the first pick in the middle-far left container?
Natural, that is just plain SICK!!! (in a good way )
I'm speechless
I really thought in my heart of hearts that I had a really bad tackle addiction problem, I stand corrected. Natural, I am not worthy........Dude you have issues, they are good issues but issues none the less.
Quotehow do you like the WEC Z-Flats? I picked up a few this year - and is that a Bee-Zee Flat up there in the first pick in the middle-far left container?
The Z-flats are the newest WEC's I have, and have had limited use. I played around with them over the winter, but that is it. They had a tight wiggle that you want in a flat sided bait; similar to the Sweet Pea's that share the same compartment. I had in mind that they would do well in later prespawn, when the water is in the 50's. I've probably caught my biggest fish on the WEC wobblers, which they don't make anymore. Thanks for the compliments guys...you will never hear me say I need all that tackle; I just enjoy buying it, owning it, and fishing with it.
BTW...I've never heard of the Bee-Zee, but I do want more of the WEC baits. They represent everything I desire in a hardbait.
I've been fishing for less than a year but this is the majority of what I've accumulated so far...
bag
cranks
jigs
favorite plastics
spinners and terminal tackle
topwaters and jerkbaits
HAHA...When I made this thread I expected like 4 posts.....now I have 50...brings a tear to my eye :'(
I can't wait to show my wife the pics of "The Natural's" tackle and clue her in on just how easy she really does have it around here.

My Grandfather had one of those old giant Kennedy metal hip roof tackle boxes full of old Heddon and Arbogast Lures. When I saw this Umco Possum belly with its ten trays I figuered it was the only tacklebox I would ever need. Times change, improvements come along, and the plano type boxes seem to be the way to go. You plan ahead and take what you think you will need in a soft bag full of small organized boxes. More of a challenge, and easier on the back!
Natural what kind of boxes and bags do you use?
QuoteNatural what kind of boxes and bags do you use?
I got the red bags at Cabelas; they were on sale for 29.99 with boxes. They claim to only hold 5 3700's, but I can squeeze in 7. I also use Tackle Logic worm binders. I will say the whole two bag system is dumb though...it is just waaay to much crap. I have been just carrying the crankbait bag, and put the plastics I have narrowed down in the Tackle Logic worm binders. A binder fits perfectly in each side pocket, and my terminal tackle goes up front. This is just when I am fishing a tournament, or going to the lake. When I pond fish, I take a small little box, or just throw a couple of baits in my pocket.

Hmmmm......I wish I woulda picked up a few more Wobblers when I had the chance. I got some Sweet Peas, Ugly Ducks, Tapps, Z-Flatts and Wobblers for a good deal so I guess I'll find out how well I like them.....the Flats do have a pretty cool action though - - almost like a lipless bait.
Don't laugh, this is what I have right now, and I do fine with it!
Okeechobee bag
Just a top view, 4 boxes, 2 spools of the line I use.
The worms I use. Anything from zoom, up to senkos in there, also a lot of finesse!
The spools of line, that I ALWAYS carry.
Trout/Bass lures, I have yet to catch a fish on any of them, just bought them for a trout derby this last weekend!
Hard lures, top, diving, prop bait, spinner, and buzz baits. I always keep a bobber for when I want to float a worm!
My jig box. I keep all sorts of jigs, anything from 1/32 oz, up to 1/4oz. Smaller bobbers for crappie, warranties, pens for marking scores...
This is what I have for tools, leatherman style pliers, nail clippers, and a knife. I keep my crawfish in here, and some little thumping tails. I need to restock as you can see... I ran out of lime green/metallic flake 2" thumpers...
These are my poles that I have put together in the last few months, or years... My ultra light was bought for my birthday, and the orange ambassadeur was bought just last week. Shakespeare poles on the abu garcias, and a berkeley cherrywood on the shakespeare reel.
I am slowly building up what I need to fish, just on a really low budget, and time constraints also effect my purchasing time...
Wickyman, I have the Okeechobee Fats bag too and love it. Right now I operate out of a big duffel bag, and load the pre-labled boxes in the Fats bag with what I need on a case by case basis along with spinnerbait and buzzbait wallets by Falcon. Working well so far, but it does mean a lot of transfering stuff around.
Prog
Yeah. I personally like the bag because it's relatively smaller than most bags, making it a pleasure to store anywhere on a boat. And, at the price I paid for it, I could always get another, later on! Wal-Mart has some of the most awesome prices on things like this, it makes it hard not to buy one, or two of anything! I just need to spend another 50 bucks, and get myself a little more tackle to go with it! Maybe then I will be fully ready to hit the lake, full throttle!
I need to re-stock my worms, and jig sleeves, and get a few more hard baits in more colors... But otherwise, I am d**n near ready to land me a hog! 4.6lbs is my personal best, my goal is at least an 8lb by the end of the summer. Anything D.D. in my lifetime!
