So when your fishing the banks for a few hrs or the day how many rods are you generally bringing?
Just one two rods is a hassle amd i have a method of making one rig able to be used as a Texas, florida, and Carolina rig without having to retie. Just swap around my plastic.
2-3, depending on what kind of terrain. If I'm pushing through trees and bushes to get to prime spots, then just 1-2.
Oh wow very nice man! That's my deal is trying to have a couple rigs with out rerigging all the time. But I always end up with a couple poles
I carry 4 in a taco rod tote.
3 at most usually 2.
2 rods. One spinning one casting. I use spinning for worms and jigs. Casting for topwaters and crankbaits.
4
Frog/top water
Weightless plastic
Spinnerbait
Other
Depends on accessibility. 4 rods usually.
4. If something presents it's self I will use my jig rod to tie on. Jig rod for me is my junk rod when bank fishing. Bold is when I have to trek through the wilderness and lighten my gear. Jig rod will work from below surface to the bottom. Frog staying on top. I have access to the entire water column when I fish.
2 at the most
usually 3 a ml spinning. mh jig rod. Mh cranking rod. Sometimes I'll carry a fourth top water rod. Re tying kinda sucks but days I don't want to launch the kayak shore fishing gets rid of the itch
2-3
Two, maybe three. I'd hate to be out with just one rod and have an equipment malfunction.

1-2
I carry two when on the bank. One spinning and one bait casting combo that covers a wide range of techniques. I carry four rods while on my kayak though.
Definately only two. I feel really cocky if I go around with more then two.
3 .... 1 Spinning, 1 Bait caster, and a back up in case.
I only bring out two with me to the shore and leave the other in the car.
1
Back up in the car in case equipment failure or going to location where another rod is needed.
1 .
One
I usually take 4 with me in the car. I carry 3 depending on where I am going. If there is a lot of brush I will carry 2.
Two or three depending on where I'm going and how long I have to fish. When carrying two, it's a MF B/C and a ML/F spinning setup. Third setup is a M/M or MH/M B/C. I have a Spiderwire backpack that holds 2 rods, making it easier to transport everything.
I sometimes ride my MTB to a couple of spots and take a couple of 2-piece rods, though I've got to be careful of low hanging branches on some single track.
I bring a MH Baitcaster and a M Spinnning. If I had the money to spend I'd add a M Baitcaster to the mix.
One and sometimes another in the truck.
Usually two casting setups, one for jerks/topwater, other for plastics
2 rods, my jig rod and an all purpose rod
I'm usually good with 2 or so.
I carry one outfit and a slingpack. If you plan on bank fishing for hours at a time, you have to be light and mobile. Carry a rig that serves as a multi-purpose combo. Inside my pack i have water, spools for leader material, and essential known baits that are known to catch me fish. Remember to apply sunscreen and have at it. Carrying more than one combo is an accident waiting to happen. Imho. You can step on it by accident fighting a nice fish, forget it by mistake, or worse get it stolen.
1
Depends. There's some stretches where I can cover a lot of bank without traipsing through the woods and I still try to take four or five. But, if there's any hiking, trees, or brush involved, I try to limit to two...sometimes three
When on the bank...........2 max.
However, there will be about 6 more in the car.
2 or 3, but no more.
2. One M/M spinning and one MH/F casting.
With these two I can cover the majority of techniques that I commonly use from shore.
Two rods for me when fishing from the bank. One spinning and one baitcasting. I feel I can use any needed technique with these two rods.

2-4, depends on the season and whether I have the pattern locked in. Most of my bank fishing is at the lake behind my house which has great access and during the summer and fall I generally know exactly what they're biting. This time of year I'm carrying 3-4 bc still don't have a pattern figured out and they're pretty lock jawed. I could get by with two if I had to but then I wouldn't get to play with as much of my gear and I'd be retying a lot.
usually 1 with another in the car. a multi-purpose spinning set up is what i use from the bank.
I also use duo lock snaps when fishing from the bank. that way I can change form worms, spinnerbaits, topwater, cranks, etc very fast.
I very rarely use a jig from the bank...they get hung up too easy. if I want to fish something like a jig, I will use a Yamamoto double tail hula grub.
2 or 3, but if I'm fishing in my local Marina, sometimes 4 or even 5!
I usually carry only one bass fishing, a medium casting rod. Now if there are colossal crappies and/or gills, then I will carry an extra ML spinning setup.
1-3.
usually 3 for me.one for frogs, jigs&heavier spinnerbaits, one for t-rigs, light spinnerbaits and chatterbaits&a spinning rod for jerkbaits/topwaters.i carry a forth one during the spring/summer for swimbaits occasionally.
I carry 2. I also do this when I am fun fishing from someone else's boat. These are lower end setups. I won't take my nicer stuff to the bank and I won't litter up a buddy's boat.
1.) 7' MH/F BPS Tourny Special (casting);BPS Extreme reel 6.4:1; 12# Big Game
2.) 6'6 M/F BPS Tourny Special (spinning); BPS Extreme reel 2500 size; 8# Big Game
I hardly ever fish from the bank anymore, but I did a lot in college with the river only a few blocks away and a small lake a few blocks the other way. I'd only take an ultra light with me. I took two rods a few times but felt too cumbersome with multiple, not to mention I caught more on the UL than i did on the others.
2-4 depending on the fish there and how I plan to fish
Depends where I go. If I'm fishing the resouvior I bring 4 rods jig spinnerbait crankbait and spinning rod in the car. Weed lakes I take jig rod and spinnerbait and spinning rod.
I can bring up to 5 now since I bought one of those golf bag looking carry alls from tackle warehouse. I still try to opt for 3 at the most, 1 preferred.
2 at most ... depends on my mood and how much time I actually have to fish.
One. And an extra 2 piece rod hidden out of sight in my vehicle. If I left a few rods in plain sight in my vehicle at most of the places I fish they would be gone.
If I'm spending all day somewhere then I'll bass and catfish. For that I'll bring my catfish spinning rod and one maybe two casting rods for bass. If I'm going somewhere that I can park right next to where I am fishing I'll bring all the rods that I use and leave stuff in the truck until I need it.
just 2 for me & 3 when im in the tube
2-3 but I have carried 6.
ps. don't carry 6.
Going with 5 right now, all bait casters. I just hate leaving any of my babies home..
2-3.
1.CrankBait,Spinnerbait,Topwater,Ripbait.
2.Jig&Worm,Small SwimBait,A-Rigs.
3.Finesse type Lures.
Usually one, but no more than two.
4-5 for ponds by my house and 2-3 in golf courses.
1 if I am just fishing a short amount of time. 2 if I have longer to fish.
Just one. M Spinning rod for river and M baitcaster for ponds/lakes
Only one and a handful of lures in my pocket. Might have another in the truck, might but usually have a problem just leaving a $500 outfit unattended. Can't even comprehend carrying more, as I'm walking I'm casting.
Three, one each for the following
Senkos
Spinnerbaits and swim jigs
Skirted Jigs and Texas rigs
