This Sunday, Super Moon and full Lunar Eclipse. 10 lbers for everyone!
I will be, and I will be on tidal water with a strong wind out of the east, everything will be flooded at high tide!
Blood moon....the world is coming to the end!
Should be a good night on the water...good luck all you lucky folks!
Tom
Yep! It's going to require me being in a park after dark though. In my defense they don't have a gate or a sign stating the hours so I've always wondered if it has overnight rules. Either way, no sign and no gate means I'm going. Anyone want to suggest something for river fishing in the night? Same as I would during daylight? I've really only trotlined at night so this is a new experience and thought it would be a good time to try it.
I hope all you guy's post your results..I'm sure I'm not the only one interested to know.
Mike
This is the 4th and final blood moon of 14/15. It's going to be the largest and the closest. Since the full moon phase has begun don't wait for the full super blood moon start fishing now. We had four blood moons in 14/15. Vary rare. This could be the fishing frenzy of a lifetime.
For info on the blood moon search online. It seems with every blood moon it's connected to something happening on our planet. The ground is rising and the asphalt is melting in Yellowstone at the super volcano. There saying a 1 1/2 mile wide asteroid is headed our way. Planet x is suppose to do a flyby too. I'm not a gambling man so I won't bet the farm on this one. I remember y2k.
See ya back here on Monday I hope God bless everyone.
Remember bottled water, soap, toilet paper and canned Cornbeef hash.
I fished during a solar eclipse and didnt catch anything but the owls got noisy .
Funny, my Solunar Clock is calling for a one fish day, from Saturday thru Monday, it's lowest rated days all week. ???
I will be!!
I'm going to use the rebel big claw in chartruese.

That started on Thursday, for me! How did it know???
Reminds me of the mystery of the thermos. It keeps cold things cold and hot things hot, but how does it know which one to do?
Forget That ~ I’m hiding under the bed !

LOL
Around here the zombies will be out in force..
I'm going to pass on fishing..
I dont' get this zombie craze! People are dying to become Zombies! Do they really come out on Blood moons?
Man, I wish I was fishing!
I pumped gas as a kid on week nights all the weirdos came out on full moon nights. It was like thriller the MJ video.
I have canned bread, canned bacon, canned beef, canned pork, canned cheese, canned butter, tomato sauce, macaroni, bread mixes, cake, cookie mixes, Coleman oven for the woodstove or campfire. All my Swedish stainless hunting safari camping cook stuff. Even real MRI's.
We lost power one October and we didn't skip a beat for 1 1/2 weeks.

People watch too many movies, they need to go outside more.
I am going to give it a shot. I'm hoping for a turnaround, lately I have been catching a lot of small ones. Hopefully tonight is the night for some bass magic.

I have canned beer. If I lose power I will dunk it below the thermocline to keep it cold. I'm also a werewolf so I'm down with a blood moon.

To be clear.. My reference to zombies, is in jest.

I think they all would be passed out drooling on them self or to paranoid from never sleeping to be out in public. You probably safe. I wouldn't worry to much.

Yeah Baby! We went out today and got our 10 lbers.........6 oz to a couple lbs at a time!
Dink city all day......but was a blast.
Well, today was proof enough for me that weather outpowers the Celestial Heavens! Big cool down going on up here and absolutely clear bluebird skies=very slow day. 3 of us got maybe 20 each in about 6 hrs; slow day for these waters. O hope the rest of you did better than us.
Oh, and no DD either.....
I caught a HUGE bluegill and three bass in maybe an hour of fishing. All with the fly rod, on a small bass bug. The fishing was above average for that pond, I don't know if it was the "Cow Moon" or not.
somebody report if they see the blood moon please... i'd definitely be curious to know
I had to bring my 5 year old home, he has school tomorrow, and it's raining. Oh well. At least we went out earlier.
This day proved no different than any other.

a buddy and i went out and it was pretty windy, but overall no different fishing than any other day. dink city though, mostly all 1lb or less.
I'm taking the new yak out this morning. I got to watch the eclipse before work and the bright moon while I was at work. Now it looks like a bluebird sky day out that will probably prove to be pretty sorry fishing but I'm still going
The weather here sucked and I had to work last night so I didn't miss a thing.
Fished yesterday before the supermoon. Scarcely saw any fish life and didn't catch anything at all! Pleh! Boo super moon!
A couple of "Moon" bass.
Really nice bass. What did you catch them on?

A 5" stickbait soft plastic (NetBait Salt Lick in Black Blue Flake) texas rigged with a pegged 3/16th ounce sinker.
It was "video game" fishing as I could see the bass near bottom in 27 - 28 feet of water on my Humminbird. I needed something to get down to the bottom quick as the wind was a blowing and I was fishing from my kayak. The presentation, despite the light weight, knifes down very well. I would bounce it up and down off the bottom and I was one hand paddling to slow my drift through the area they were holding.
I caught about 40 Saturday on a Cavitron and a War Eagle spinnerbait, went to the same location today and caught about 40 on a chatterbait, it's probably the most ridiculous bite I've ever been on.....Go pro footage will be up in the near future.
