I have the great fortune to live in Loxahatchee, FL and work in Deerfield Beach. Between noon and 1 PM nearly every week day I fish one of the dozen bodies of water within 10 minutes of my office which hold fish. On the weekends I bank fish around Loxahatchee. This year I have been using 4" - 6" Senkos, Texas-rigged with a 3/16 oz lead bullet weight and 12 lb mono. Nearly every fish caught this year has been landed with that set up. This breakdown for the fish caught so far follows:
Under 1 lb - 91 fish
1 - 2 lbs - 9 fish
2 - 3 lbs - 1 fish
3 - 4 lbs - 1 fish
4 - 5 lbs - 1 fish
6 - 7 lbs - 0 fish
7 - 8 lbs - 1 fish (7 lb 4 oz my PB)
8+ lbs - 0 fish
This represents 52 days, fishing 1 hour each day. If this catch rate continues, it is going to be a great year!
How many have you caught?

I too fish Loxahatchee from time to time. I have probably fished it 10 times this year from the Lox Road ramps. I fish almost everyday and have caught many hundreds of bass this year. I have no idea of how many dinks, up to 22 inches this year. This has been a good month with 6 between 20 to 22 inches. It would drive me nuts to keep count of how many 1 to 2 pounders I have caught. I too fish senkos, u-vibes, flukes, swim frogs, and trick worms, a lot. Good luck out there, maybe ill see you at lox. I have a 18 foot winner bass boat with a 115 Yamaha four stroke.
I believe I've only caught 11 bass so far this year. I won't complain since many years the water is still covered in ice this time of year.
I am current restoring a 1984 Bayliner Trophy 1710, but am limited to bank fishing until I get her seaworthy again. Let me know anytime you have an empty seat in your boat, I will gladly put my butt in it!
Don't keep track, but ballpark 40 something.
So far in 2017 I have caught ZERO bass. But thanks for asking........
Don't want to talk about how many I've caught this year! But I haven't been very many times unfortunately.....
293 bass and counting...

Outstanding!!
Pretty awesome to have all those cool Florida ponds so close. Great numbers and sweet 7-plus! I'll be heading back home to NY to fish with my Dad in 2 weeks (first time in 2017). Not gonna get my hopes up but the bar has been set pretty high in the last 6 or 7 seasons fishing in Early April. Planning on one day for brown ones and one day for greenies. It will be "disappointing" if we don't catch 35 - 60 smallmouth and 20 - 30 largemouth. Can't wait!
I like your method for tracking them! Something to look at at the end of the year! We still have ice up here!

Yep, a couple hundred + here, too. First one on Feb. 11 this year and been catching them ever since. Great start for Indiana, and we're still just in March
A BIG FAT ZERO. But I keep trying!!
So far zero. But my local lakes just thawed a week or two ago and I'm headed out in a few minutes to hopefully catch a few!
A grand total of one for me this year, and I had to drive six hours south, to Kent's place, to get that one.
I've been catching them like crazy! I caught probably 30 over 3 lbs, I had on one that was sure to be my new PB, then my alarm clock went off and I had to get up and go to work.
Son of a...
Here I am, haven't caught a d**n fish since November - and I've been trying!
Switched over to trying to catch some trout once winter came along - struck out every time I went trout fishing.
I've caught 2...
I can't fish for bass yet, not until mid May.
8... in my defense I was bank fishing a small Creek and I've only been out twice...
Ever heard of 100 fish a day ?

Maybe down there in Mexico, but up here a hundred fish day is practically unheard of.
I have never done it (record is 78 bass in an afternoon) and only know one person who has.
Ive caught 40-50.1 fish over 8 pounds,and a 4 pounder.Several 3s. A lot of dinks this year.
251 in California plus 52 in Georgia & 11 in Texas last week for a total of 314.
The Georgia numbers were fun, they were all from shore from two small lakes (4 acres) over 2 mornings/evenings. These waters also coughed up a dozen bluegill all larger than my hand (& I'm no Donald Trump ).
The Texas numbers were also from shore & included 4 bass that were either Spots or Guadalupes (out of the Blanco river)
Are you asking about only largemouth bass? A fishing buddy and I boated 121 striped bass, today, with four keepers (28 inch minimum):
28 inches -
29 inches -
31 inches -
28 inches -

That's not easy to do. That's like 1 fish every 5 minutes for 8 hrs.
I've been out 8 times this year and caught seven smallies and a fat yellow perch.
Water temps have been 48 degrees or lower each time out.
Today was the low temp, barely breaking 42.x degrees.
Hopefully we'll be clear of winter this week and Massachusetts bass wake up.

Does fish = bass? Or are you including sunfish?
100 fish day isn't that hard to do if your fishing in a lake that has the population for it to happen.
Wish I could give a exact number on how many I have pulled out of Toledo Bend since Jan 1st, but I can't, I'm sure it's up around 400 by now.
I've caught seven over 8 pounds so for this year and one over 9 but still havent broke my PB of 9.14

Yes I have experienced many of those in my life. The water level is dropping good in the glades now,so I might have to make a little trip over there for another +100 bass day.

Come to the Everglades this April and you will probably get tired from catching so many bass. The water level is low now and the fishing is getting hot.

Nice catches.
Lol that stings a bit...I sure do miss Texas. I have been out once and caught 2, but that is changing this weekend hell or high water.
I fish pretty much everyday. I've caught a bass 71 days in a row now. I have to be averaging around 35 fish a week. Sometimes I catch way more than that in a week, sometimes less.
I was going to do something next year of trying to catch a bass all 365 days in the year, which would be tough because I travel for work quite a bit or try to catch 2,000 bass in a year. I would have to keep actual track though which would be annoying.
Reporting in from Omaha, Nebraska: A whopping total of 5 bass so far in 2017.

These numbers are all bass, I have not caught a sunfish or a snake head yet this year.

In the Everglades when the conditions are right we have had 200 fish days in 4 hours. When the water levels drop and the fish are concentrated things can really get crazy. Right now the Oscars have taken over in the canals. They are aggressive and relentless predators, you could catch 200 of them right now with little effort A small in-line spinner and its every cast!!!!

That sounds like fun.

great lunch break!! think I would have to call in sick the rest of the day, everyday!! nice start to the year.

Yep, done it twice this year so far. Fish get crazy congregated in the power plant lakes in the winter. Fish on every cast for a few hours on end happens to me a few times every winter.
There's some "practice lakes" as I call them around here that I go to whenever I'm trying to learn or perfect a technique or test a new bait. They're stunted and jump on about anything. If you don't catch 100 fish, it's kind of embarrassing, but none of them might touch 2 pounds.
The guys I had in the boat Thursday quit counting at 50 between them, that was just after 9AM, and wasn't counting all the fish I was boating. I had one cast that a giant wiper was slamming my glide bait but not hooking up, just to have a big smallmouth steal it at the boat, and then come off, it was wild to watch.
What KS lacks in size potential, it somewhat makes up in numbers.
Five times out for a grand total of 28. At first I was catching crappie, but now it's all bass.
4...☹️
