Crazy, I just went back to look and this is the 18th video this year. I'm getting like Dave Matthews and just numbering them instead of naming them now, lol.
Anyway, Eric and I got out yesterday and romped them. Not much out there had changed since that 70 degree warm front we just had when we made the last video. From 70 degrees to 35 and the fish are still in the same location, I'm pretty sure I caught the tail end of THAT one!
Surely, one of the last "blitz" days of the year. From here on out with 30-35 degree nights, the water will cool fast and we could spend all day jigging for 1 bite. But if we get it,...chances are it will be worth it.
Havin' a little fun with the music,....don't mind me!

Edited for language, sorry 'bout that :-[
Entertaining as usual. Glad you edited the language out, I appreciate that.
You got a nice piece of water there. Do you ever fish any other lake over there or is that the only lake in RI? I know RI ain't very big so heck this might be the only lake over there.
Thanks for the show.
Lots of lakes in RI, only 1 or 2 that are better than this one and they are private. I am lucky enough to have access here (land-owner access only) through a friend. I've been coming here exclusively for the last few yrs, fished pretty much everything in the state and lots in Mass and Ct too. Some in Vt when I lived there.
I've had access here for 25 yrs now, since jr high. I've seen this place be many different lakes at different times. All of them beautiful!
Why roam when your already home. 8-)
Ah yes, the air drums! Oh how i've played those many a time ;D
Lovin it Russ....nice work as usual!
Jason
awsome bass for 35 degree weather!
And sweet video. (and drumming )
35 degrees, unbelievable. We have a cold front coming through. High temp today was a frigid 81 degrees, but don't feel bad for us SE Floridians, by Tuesday temps are expected to top out at 88.
Beautiful lake you got there dude. All the Autumn colors coming out. Keep em comin'
That video rocked, as do all of yours and your fish catches!
Man u r .. DISTURBED
aahahahahahahahaa
nice video as always
way to go, the keep getting better and better. Your quite the drummer.
Dood your the man!!! Awsome video ,catches and music. I never even heard of RI as being a good bass fishing spot, you really knock some out over there though, thats great
awesome fishing, I want more GodSmack ;D 8-)
Yes, the weather is cold, but the fish are putting on there fall feed bags, WTG on the basses.
Going fishin tomorrow morning, but not targetting bass, were more after the crappie and gills, 50+ fish in the boat by noon is the target. ;D Not a problem.
Now, are you anchored, is that your anchor rope that we see beside the boat a few time. You must be on the honey/hot spot. WTG Nothing like getting bass on the pig/jigs, love to send that hook and jack them jaws. 8-)
That's a drift anchor
not to go of topic or anything, but what is the differnce between a drift anchor and a normal anchor?
Thanks
Matt
Awesome video again LBH!!! and I'm lovin' that shiny purple vest ;D
see pic below
slows you down in the wind.
Quotesee pic belowslows you down in the wind.
Thanks I have always wondered that, and now i know.
It looks like one of those would be easy to make some how.... I might try that.
And what was the weight on the bass in the video? That big one looked, big.
If i didn't see a video of it happening i would hardly be able to believe that you cought bass that size in such cold weather. Maybe i'll move to RI instead of CA ;D
Drift anchors are real cheap. $25. most home made attempts fail in one way or another. Anchors also come in different sizes.
We didn't weigh any fish yesterday, but nothing over 3.75-4. Didn't matter, we averaged 7-8 fish/hr which is crazy with these temps.

lol $25 is exensive for me. What is the net material part of the anchor like? cloth? rubber? Should it sink or float, or suspend? For 10-25mph winds in a 14ft canoe, how big should it be?
Thanks

Really? it seemed bigger than that to me... I thought around 5lbs. (but then again, you where the one that acualy held it, not me)
And your right, 7 fish a hour is amazing. I cant do that good in the summer.
Matt
It's like rubberized tarp.
25mph wind in a canoe, you have no business being on the water.
Smallest one made is for a 16ft boat. that's the one I use.

Nice video!!!! Last year around this time of year we got our first freeze. I remember that morning that I was hooking up the boat and my neighbor came over and asked if I was going Duck hunting. When I told him I was going bass fishing I think he thought I was lu-lu and absolutely nuts. The results were probably one of the best if not The Best day as far as numbers went for the year. They were hitting anything that hit the water. It totally made me a believer in Fall fishing. Nothing over 3 lbs though.
I like all types of music ..... REALLY ...... pic a genre and I can probably find something I like, but country music and fishing videos just don't seem to go. Believe me I have tried. Although Southbound 35 by Pat Green might make for a good Fork video. (I take I-35 to get down there)
8 an hour. There is something wrong with you.....your sick....
is it contagious?
"hahahaha--yeah right."
^^^^FREAKIN' PRICELESS!!! hahahahahahaha
Yea, I was hoping that didn't hurt anyones feelings. Just havin' a little fun with it.
Very cool dude. Gots to get me a video camera!
My old stomping grounds your in there. Lived in Rhode Island until I was 13. Never did fish it, got the bass bug when I got to Florida.
Keep it up!!!!
Wow!
It started off great with Garth, but got hijacked!
The fishing looked good. Who was that guy?
Another awsome production Russ! Great scenery, beautiful fish, fantastic imaging, and music that rocks!
Are those nice "LBH" sweaters for sale??? :
By, the way, you mention "Some in Vt when I lived there". Which places did you fish there? You bring me wonderful memories of hefty smallmouths in the Winooski...
I fished Lake Bomoseen alot and and a little place near my house called Colt pond.
Another kick-arse video as usual...nice! Good choice with the tunes -- can't go wrong with the Black Crowes!
Oh, yeah...and nice drumming... 8-)
Roadwarrior- That was ME!!
Hey Dirk!
Now you're a movie star!
how about a 13 ft "Ghuneeew" thats how you woudl say it i forgot the actuall spelling. I cant tip it over if i tryed and believe me i have lol
Cool video LBH.
Thanks.
That's another good vid LBH. 36 degree temps and what sounded like decent wind going on and ya still whacked 'em. Good stuff!
