Would you rather... 2025

fishing user avatar.dsaavedra. reply :

i thought this up while i was fishing with my dad in south carolina and i forgot my camera and i said "i better not catch anything big because i dont have a camera". he thought i was crazy for saying that. so then i asked him "would you rather catch a 9lber and not have a camera, or have your camera and not catch a thing?" he said he would rather catch the fish and not get a photo.

i would be just devastated to catch a 9lber (or any new PB) and not have a camera with me.

so lets hear it, would you rather...

:)

fishing user avatardaviscw reply :

Sounds like a no brainer to me. Who doesn't want to catch a fish?

fishing user avatarGrey Wolf reply :

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fishing user avatarNewScreenNameAdvised reply :

I'll take the 9 pounder and no camera.  It's nice to get the photo and share with friends....but if I didn't have the camera I still have the memory.

fishing user avatarfishinfiend reply :

I would much rather catch a hog. How often do you look at the pictures of fish you catch?

I catch 9lber's all the time without a camera.  It really isn't a big deal... ::)

fishing user avatarLong Mike reply :

Geez, what a stupid question. ::)

Mr. warmth.

Hey Mike, what's shakin'?

To answer the question, I rarely took pictures of my fish.  Then I got on message boards at about the same time camera phones came out.

I have yet to catch a nine pounder.  The memory of the experience would please me for years.  No camera?  no problem.

fishing user avatarMALTESE FALCON reply :

Two years ago, when I caught my 9.8# PB walleye, I was so excited and concerned with getting her back in the water healthy, I forgot to take the picture. As has been said, I still have the memory.

fishing user avatarBlack Bass reply :

I'd catch the 9lber.

fishing user avatarcrazy4bass1 reply :

wow who were the two people who voted no fish and have camera?

10 lbs is when they become "special". Some people catch a lot of big

fish all the time. I don't think they care about the picture unless it's

with friends or really something.

8-)

fishing user avatarrondef reply :

I would rather catch the hawg and have the memory.

i dunno, maybe im just weird, but photos of fish mean a lot to me. i like to have a photo there to remind me of the fish and all the little details that the mind would otherwise forget  :)

ME?!?? ;)

lol, I seriously would be SOOOO bummed if I caught a fish 9 lb's and didn't have a camera. I think i'd feel sick to my stomach if I didn't bring it...

fishing user avatarmattm reply :

This is easy.

It is better to have caught and lost than to have never caught at all.

fishing user avatar-HAWK- reply :

Im surprised the Scale variable wasnt added into the poll equation.

How about if you caught the fish with no camera and no scale? The way I see it, as long as I have the weight documented thats good enough for me.

fishing user avatarhawghunter1744 reply :

i do believe that this is  a fairly easy question...

fishing user avatarNitroMan reply :

I would be very bummed if I didn't have my camera, but as many others have said... I would much rather have the memory. When I caught my pb 10.2 all I had was an antique camera that I couldn't download the pics onto the computer. But I still have the pic at home with me!!! ;)

fishing user avatarelectrikal reply :

I'd leave the camera home everytime if I thought it would make a difference!  ;D

fishing user avatarcrazy4bass1 reply :

i think a better question woudl be

woudl you rather catch a 6 pounder and have a camera or catch a 9-10 pounder and have no camera

fishing user avatarpaul. reply :

interesting question dave.   i also like the camera vs. scale question.  which would it be worse to forget?  hmmmmm.   anyway, i always keep a cheap $4 disposable camera in my tackle box in case i forget my digital one.  no more worries about not having a camera.

fishing user avatarnashkcn reply :

i would rather catch the fish every one might not believe me but i know i caught it.

lol all this stuff has happened to me when i caught my PB of 10.2 pounds i just had to use the bass calculator with 26 1/2 length and 18 girth because i forgot my scale lol

and when i caught my 9 pounder i forgot my camera but i brought my scale lol so i was going back to the dock to ask my dad if he had his which he didnt of course, and then i see this random guy and ask him if he could snag some pics with his camera phone which he did and he sent them to my email, the picture quality blowed but i still got some pictures at least and i thank that guy alot lol but even he wasnt there i would still have the memory of catching that hog  ;)

fishing user avatarLow_Budget_Hooker reply :

I can't answer this one,....I don't forget my camera. ;)

fishing user avatarJoshawa reply :

If I caught a 9lb bass here in Wisconsin and didn't have my camera I would be throwing it the live well and getting on the phone to get someone there.

If it was a smallie it would be a state recored (well if it was 9.2) and either way I'd be getting a replica made.

fishing user avatarMovarus reply :

Definitely rather catch the fish.  Though I love to take photos to help me remember the fun I've had, I rarely fish alone so someone would be at least an eye-witness for me.
