Ok, Ive done the conversion but I just want to see what you guys think. She was 24.5 inches on the nose in length. Didn't take girth but its the fattest bass Ive ever seen not on TV lol and her back went up into an arch. alright let me know what you think she weighed. Thanks!
don't even care to venture a guess, but holy **** that's a pig!!
I can see the scales but I cant read them .
I would think in the 7-8 lb range but it's really hard to guess based on a picture
I don't even have a guess for you buddy. I always think it's tough to judge a fish in a photo like that. Stud of a fish for sure.
I'd say if your PB thing is still accurate, she comes real close to bumping you up a notch.
So, where´s the "monster" ?
Nice Bass ~
Really hard to guess the weight there -
Quality fish for sure -
Congrats

Hawg!
6.5-7.5 but that just a guess!
10 easy
12#
9.5 to 10 lbs based on 25" length, NLMB.
Tom
Bass weight formula; L x L x G / 1200 = weight in lbs.
Average girth for NLMB = .75 L, L is length measure closed mouth to end of tail.
24.5" L = 9.2 lbs
On balance (excuse the pun), a 24.5" bass will weigh around 8-1/2 pounds.
Roger
I don't usually guess on the high side, but I'm gonna give you 8-9 at the least. Beautiful bass dude.
Nice fish regardless. She looks pretty thick. I'd say in the 8-9lb range, but hard to tell with the picture.
Thanks guys. I didn't want to give more influential info but I didn't catch this fish however my daughters boyfriend did. Last week I caught a 7.13 at 24.5 inches and it was no where this this fishes girth. It same length. The scales said 8.5 in this fish but I would have bet $100 it was 10! I just wanted to see what the pros thought.
Thanks guys.
That is between 8 and 10. Guessing 9. Son caught a 24.5 that was 8.35 and a 24 that was 8.65. They were healthy, but I'm not sure as tall and thick as that one. 9.2 is it.
Blows my mind the amount of people that do not carry scales. Have one in both of my boats and every tackle box i own, to avoid this mind numbing exercise. Great fish but you will never know its true weight until you put it on the scale.
How big is that bass? Huge, numbers do not matter when you got a picture like that!

I own 4, total cost less than $100, plus some extra batteries. Unless you just don't care what a fish weighs there's really not a good reason not to have one.
The only experience I have a fish close to that size was 24" long but a skinny 14.5" around and went 7.51 pounds. That fish appears to be considerably thicker so I'd guess around 9 pounds but could easily be over 10.
Nice bass!

Yes...fish always look heavier than they are,
that's why they always weigh less than we think
Roger
All we can do with measurements is go with the numbers, no idea how the fish was measured?
The scale weighed 8.5 lbs, no idea how accurate the scale us, but it doesn't matter, it is what it is...8.5 lbs.
Good estimate Roger!

Isn't that the truth.
solid 7 lb. great catch
Close to 10 but a lot of myspace angles going on by holding the fish out away from your body toward the camera. Really alters the perceived size.
Yea this fishes back was almost touching the guys chin in pic so I don't think that's an issue with this pic but I know what you mean
