Wow

Hmmm.... I'm intersted to see the conversation around this one.

Same here....
Likewise. . .
Nice fish
Looks like he took a little swim with the bass
Any other pics?
If he got that fish officially verified and weighed, he broke the state record for Fl. Beautiful fish.
Huh? I am confused. I thought you just pm'd me that it was caught in a cast net at one of my spot I never fished?
If the bass is #18 then there should be more local news on it. Where was it caught? Did he have the weight certified? Did he call FWC? Just this year I have received $350 from FWC in gift cards for the three bass I caught that weighed over eight pounds.
That's a good fish, no doubt.
I'm gonna get some popcorn though.....
whoa
Very nice.
Hmmm....I think Speedbead has it right in his signature line....
lol, everyone's thinking it so I'll say it.....Fish does not look close to 18 pounds.......Shimmy where are you man!
interesting....looks like a legit bass to me. Looking at photos of 17-18# class fish it would appear that would be up there?
I just want to know why the dude is all wet?
Got more pics commin' In a little bit
Still got to upload off my phone.
If thats the picture and its legit, unless hes a midget, by the relative size of his hands, that fish is at least 26"+
If 29" given its a fat fish, I dont put it past that it could be in the neighborhood of 18
So question is did he let this go without getting an official weighing?
Score another big fish on a 5" worm..
That is an epic fish even if not 18lbs. I feel it does look 29" though.
Nice bass no doubt but the photo clarity seems off.
That dude has his arms at 180* angles. I'm thinking 13ish. I'm also thinking that this was caught with something other than a rod and reel.
I swear I saw this picture a long time ago.
Some details, story, something would be awesome. I'm sure with the guy being drenched it has be a good one... Maybe he pulled an Ike dive to get it
Why's he all wet?
Did he jump in and catch it with his hands?
Looks like a degree of doubt on the forum. So now the BassFisherBoy needs to come forth with a lot more details. Or maybe his first line is a giveaway when he said:
"I know a guy . . ."
That's always a good one liner when someone starts to tell a tall tale --

Where was it caught exactly? You said area is "disclosed" which means "to bring to view". So where are the other pictures???
If I caught an 18# bass I would have over 10 pics. Easily......
Popcorn anyone???
Well, Hmm, if that fish is truly 18.2, I will be very surprised. In other words, I ain't buying it!
A super duper fish, just not 18.2
Grampa Casey always said, "believe none of what you hear and half of what you see". I' am, however, gonna give this one the benefit of doubt on it....
CONGRATULATIONS!

Exactly. I catch an 18lber and the servers for this forum would get overloaded with pictures. The newspaper would be called, I would have to buy new underwear, and fish and game would be called.... Not in that order either
Some of u guys need to give the benefit of the doubt.. even if its flub it entertainment..
Besides not everyone who catches somethin big behaves EXACTLY like you guys would..

If you are enrolled in the BigCatchProgram/TrophyCatchProgram, you would have saw this bass submitted a few years ago! here the link to it. Supposedly the "guy" he knows caught that bass years ago, not however long ago he claims! This guy is a joke... wasted my time just clicking on it.
https://www.bigcatchflorida.com/search-catches.aspxGo to this link, and type in the section that says anglers name "Paul Melchert. then click on his catch.... exact same one!

Ding ding ding
He even had to make up the weight! LOL.(#18.2) The website says it was only 17lbs. Still nice fish but sad, sad, sad.
Just go back and read "bassfisherboy"s original post on this... he's acting like the "guy" he knows just sent him a text of this bass, and just took info of this sight! I'm getting a laugh out of this. Lets see what he says when we message him. He obviously hasn't replied to his post since we figured it out.
What do i say... sorry

Honesty will gain you more friends and reputation than any tall tale my friend. When you are honest, people may not always like what they hear, but they can't ever fault you.
Learn from it and grow. Stick around too, great group of guys here with unlimited knowledge.

You don't need to make up stories to get our attention or approval dude. We are all nice guys here.
I am a little glad you made this post though, I did get a few laughs out of it.
You made a few of the Professional BassResource trophy bass photo inspectors look a little foolish! "Not even close to 18, 13ish. "
Thornback, you have elected to unfollow the item #18 Bass.
