title!
My personal best, just over 6lbs, 21in. long. Caught in Chicago suburbs.
6lbs 5oz
11.69 lbs caught on a jig/Lobster
I only catch dinks
13lbs3oz - On a jig I tied myself always fun!
I don't have a scale so I dunno the weight. Caught it about an hour before sunrise on a black Jitterbug.
Is it me or does Stk's forearm make that 21" er look like a 14". Only kidding!
My pb is is 20.5" probly 5lb'ish tried to put it on the wall but taxidermist said had some skin problem and wasnt any good. Uhh d**n
My real trophy was a 16" crappie, I got in spring when I was 18. Funny thing is I had one on that was even bigger, not knowing about the soft jaws I tried to boat it like a bass, yeah it ripped the lip hit the boat and went SPLASH.
23" walleye
18" smallie I got last friday ( slightly bigger than the 18 on the wall I got at age 12
12.5" perch
30" pike really need to UP my game on pike
Lol I cought an 11" creek chub when I was 15-16, lots of memories fishin while bored outta my mind
WOW there are some big mamas!
4.2 kg (9.3lb?)
I have caught a larger fish but the scale wasn't working properly so cant be sure.
Caught on a generic swimbait 9lb-8oz.
Best smallie went 7lb-6oz caught on a rapala tail dancer.
dwight! that is the smallmouth bass of my dreams!!
Not my PB largemouth (no pics) but 1 oz. shy at 7-1.
And my PB smallie, 5-12, caught in the back of wnybassman's boat:
25 1/4'' long and 18'' around, she went 10lbs 14ozs
Lake Okeechobee
Gambler Big EZ
Hair under 10 3/4
Captain Shane I new that one was going to be posted up. Heck of a Florida fish. WTG.
6lbs 10oz. Caught during a Thursday evening tournament last year in august, that was lunker for the tournament and part of the bag that gave wnybassman and I the win. BUT... it's only a tie for my PB, I caught another 6-10 in late October 2011
<===== Black jitterbug about 6:05 AM. She weighed in at 6-2.
But my real pb is in my avatar, obviously.
7-9
This one definitely "looks" bigger but was 1oz less.
The beard adds at least an ounce.
I already posted some photos of my PB largemouth, I recently caught my PB smallie... 3.64lbs

LM = 6 lbs (5-6 of them... cannot get over the hump!). I had a 12+ within about 5 feet of the boat until she did an unanticipated head shake when I took my eye off of her waiting for the net. That still hurts. Literally every time I go by that spot, painful. Took a buddy out for his birthday last spring (gets to fish 3-4x/year) and he caught a 10 lb 4 oz out of the back of my boat on a 4" grub I rigged up for him. Go figure!
8'9" Bull Shark estimated at over 350. I was within ounces of the state record for a chain pickerel too 7 lb 2oz.

It was before cell phones and digital cameras. I don't think I'll ever top either of those fish! Sucks. All downhill from there!
PB Smallmouth - 7 lb. 0 oz.
I don't fish for Largemouth much. Here is the biggest one I have caught, but I didn't weigh or measure it.
Beautiful fish Lucky Craft!

Hey Steve I hope you put that big smallie back so I can catch her next year. The trouble with fishing lake erie for smallies a lot it is that it makes your largemouth look small unless they are grandes.

Wish i had that problem
MarkH,
Thanks for the compliment. I do catch myself looking at that picture of the smallmouth every once in a while (I was lucky to have my buddy fishing in his boat nearby, so he was able to get a good picture of it as opposed to me trying to hold the camera out with one hand and the fish in the other).
A-Jay,
Haha...I figured you would recognize the background of that first picture (actually, that location was about 100 yards from where I met you and Dwight that one day on the water).

Dwight,
She is swimming free right now (I release all my fish except for the occasional trout caught in a put-and-take stream where it wouldn't survive through the summer heat anyway). I am surprised you are waiting until next year to try and catch her. I am hoping to get a few chances to catch her again (or her big sister) this Fall.
As far as largemouth go, it is hard to justify fishing for them when there is a fishery like Lake Erie just two hours away with trophy class smallmouth and as you mentioned, the largemouth around here are just not that big (unless you are Speedbead. He has some special power in that beard of his, because the largemouth he catches are just obscene)
If we couldn't locate large bass we would move closer to Erie and target those world class smallies.
11.3 and NOT forced perspective! Elbows to the body baby.

And here I thought I was the only one that still took photos like that. Nice fish!
So there are two separate "Personal Best" threads going.
This one has Great Pictures of Several Big Bass.
The other thread, not so much.
I am bewildered.
