Okay, There's been alot of good threads going on about how much fish weigh. I thought I would start a thread to see how good some of our members are at weight guestimation! I know down to the ounce how much each of these fish weighed. I believe you will see how deceiving a photo can be. So just for kicks! Take a shot at how much each of these fish weighed.
Sorry my photography skills aren't the best.

Nice looking fish but I'm not going out on that limb. It's not that I don't want to be wrong; I just don't want to come off the wrong way.
The guesses here on the forums are kind of odd and inconsistent.
Assuming the female holding #3 is not 6' tall, I'd guess #3 is the smallest of the bunch (weight and size wise) 20" or less & < 5 lbs. The rest are hard to venture a guess without knowing how big of a guy you are.
1 - 7.6 lbs.
2 - 8.1 lbs.
3 - 6.5 lbs.
4 - 9.3 lbs.
oh wait, i'm getting ahead of myself. that's y'all's future fishin' trips. ;D
teria, i deduct 1 pound from your catch for not smiling. could you please act a little more excited when you are holding a nice fish? smile girl, that's a good 'un. 8-)
This is fun. No, I'm not guessing, except to say all fish are over 4lbs -I think.
Hawgcaller, do you have an inside line here??
Eddie, you can't offend me. Please give it a shot. It'll be fun.
Hawgcaller, your too kind! I told Teria the same thing. The problem that day was she left her shades at the house (rookie mistake), the sun was frying her eyes. We gave her a spare hat to help out.
Okay, I'll help ya'll out a little bit. I am 5' 11" and weigh 150lbs. soakin' wet.

Wasn't afraid of offending you; I'm with Paul Roberts in that I believe them to all be over 4lbs and most over 5lbs but then again, I believe mine to be as large as those you have pictured. That's what I meant by come off sounding the wrong way and that guessing seems to be inconsistent. 8-)
BTW, I'm guessing your size to be approx 6'2" or just over and about 190-200lbs. Lemme know.

They all look between 4 and 6 lbs. #3 is not the smallest
#2 weighs the most.
#3 the least, followed by #4.
So lessee...
In order of size largest to smallest:
2, 1, 4, 3

Alright CJ, I'll take a shot at 2. and 4. because I remember what 1. and 3. weighed when you posted them.
2.- 3.7 lbs.
4.- 4.1 lbs.
so CJ, when are you gonna tell us?
I say the order from largest to smallest is:
2, 4, 1, 3
And my weight guesses are:
1. 6 lbs
2. 7.5 lbs
3. 4.5 lbs
4. 6.5 lbs
Quoteso CJ, when are you gonna tell us?
Not tonight.
I'm still waiting for someone to get close to atleast 3 of them. :
Heck, I guess I'm gonna have to give something to whoever can get the closest! How bout three brand new jigs or a brand new Rapala!
CJ
No one has even got close yet?
That's it, I'm changing all my guesses
1: 3.5lbs
2: 4lbs
3: 3lbs
4:3.75lbs
;D

o.k., now i'm gonna guess. ;D ;D ;D j/k buddy.
ok here are the guesses of the fish to the ounce!!!!
fish by weight
picture 2. 5.3 lbs
picture 1. 4.9 lbs
picture 3. 4.8 lbs
picture 4. 4.4 lbs
its either this. or its a trick question and they all way the same weight and number 3 could be the biggest!
1: 7.2
2: 6.11
3: 6:15
4: 8.3
The first and the last look the biggest but he is sticking them out HARD. 2 and 4 look the smallest but its the picture angle. They are all pretty close. probably within a pound of eachother and I still say her fish is not the smallest.
CJ, how big are you and how much do you weigh? Can't guess without knowing that! Was I close with 6'2" 190-200lbs?
No one's close to three of them yet? I guess I was right about the inconsistent guessing. 8-)

Thanks Korea; missed that.
Okay CJ; based on your size and experts' guesses of my fish....here we go:
1. 4lb 8oz
2. 4lb 5oz
3. 3lb 15oz
4. 4lb 9oz
Here are my guesses:
6.8
5.7
5.2
8.6
Here's my feeble attempt:
1-5.8
2-6.5
3-4.8
4-5.2
I can tell the northern guessers from the southern!
A Rapala!! Jigs!!!!!
5-3
5-12
3-14
4-2
Guessing from pictures can make you look stupid.
Heres my shot
4lbs 10oz
6lbs 2oz
5lbs 8oz
3lbs 14oz
All look between 4-6lbs. The last one looks to have a big mouth, but looks rather skinny.
All this # guessing is like watching a game show, lol
"I'd like to trade this in for what's behind curtain #2 Bob......"

It's even more entertaining when you know the answers!
Alright CJ, what's the real numbers?!
I'll give em' tonight at 8:00 pm central time. I'll give ya'll a hint, everybody has missed atleast one fish by more than a pound. Some have missed a fish by as much as 3 lbs.
#1- 6.5
#2- 5.2
#3- 4.5
#4-7.3
I changed #2. In order of the pictures..
7.2
6.7
6.1

1- 7.5
2- 6.8
3- 5
4- 6.2
7.0
5.8
4.8
5.0
The third one looks to be around 115lbs...
1. 5 lbs. even
2. 7 lbs. even
3. 3 lbs. 5 oz.
4. 5 lbs. 9 oz.
I took the difference of each guess/fish and added up the total score from the 4 fish. The lowest score won.
gary77, was the closest, on the average, to each fish's weight. Nice "feeble" attempt gary!
PM sent.
CJ
Hey, I was within about a pound on all of them. Good enough for me!
Thanks for all the compliments on #3 fish. I sure thought it was bigger than 3lb 5oz. I think the scales were broke!
Thanks CJ. That was fun.
This was INDEED fun; with the wide variety of guesses and the actual numbers, I feel alot better about my fish now.
Again; great fish.
Late to the game...
It's much more fun when you have the actual weights to compare guesses!
8-)
24.11lbs for all of them OOOOOOOOOOPs seriously didn't realize the game was over >
