RUNCL spincast reel is equipped with a smooth fishing line aperture that gives you smooth casts that go farther and less chance of tangles.	The spincast fishing reel features fingertip controlled drag, allows you to easily adjust the drag tension with only one finger.	The quick release thumb switch gives you the easiest way to cast. What is the maximum drag setting for this reel?

Answer: The drag basically has no give if turned all the way clockwise. I found that out when I lost a big bass. When she turned, Something had to give. The 10 pound test line broke. It was too late but I turned down the drag immediately after that.

Answer: Its got to do with the line poundage. For 10 pound line, you mite want it 8lb or 9lb setting.So on 25lb ,24lb or 23lb you would use.something less than the strength of your line

What are the gears made of? How much plastic is inside the reel?

When you push the button on a cast does it stop the lure?

Answer: Yes. All spincasters work this way. Makes it great if you overcast and are able to stop your lure before going into a tree or dock.

Answer: You hold the button down and release during cast. By holding button gets it ready for cast. Really easy to use..

Is this reel too big for a 6 year old boy to handle?

Answer: I put it on a 5.5 ft pole for my 6 year old grandson and he loves it. He handles it perfectly and can cast a mile.

Answer: The SC330 7+1BB may be a little too big, but SC180 5+1BB would fit his hand once mounted on the rod.

What Rod should I use with this reel?

Answer: The reel will work on mostly any Rod and types of line. Crappie use a light, bass use a medium pole and catfish use a medium to heavy Rod. More of a question is WHAT TYPE OF LINE are you going to use and light, medium or heavy fishing your planning to do? Good luck.

Does it come with fishing line?

Answer: It comes pre-spooled with 60 yards 6LB Monofilament fishing line for SC180 5+1BB or 160 yards 6LB Monofilament fishing line for SC180 7+1BB, so it’s ready to go fishing right out of the box.

Would anybody recommend this for crappie fishing?

Answer: Yes I can, with a light rod. It gives greater control over the drag to prevent tears while setting the hook. The reel has crosshatch cover for better grip. It holds good amount of string or line. I use mine for light to heavy fishing by adjusting the drag or changing the pole. I recommend these reels.

Just got to use my new RUNCL Spin-cast Fishing Reel with a very smooth push button line release. This model has a high speed 4.0:1 retrieval ratio, 7+1 Ball Bearings and up to 17.5 LB Max Drag, enough for that catfish you are trying to land. Unlike most reels of this kind, there is a reversible handle option for that left-handed retrieval. I was not aware but surprised to find it pre-spooled with 160 yards of 10 lb. monofilament line.

The line pick-up system is unique offering a stainless-steel, Dual Pickup system that grabs slack line quickly so I can get a good hook-set.

My initial impression of this reel was confirmed by my 11 daughter as she sailed her jig much farther than normal. She was quickly smiling after a bream took her bait. We will be ordering another of these reels since she won’t give mine back…

I personally use an open face reel, but my kids and grandkids need a closed faced reel fir casting. They have list many big fish do to cheaper reels with malfunctioning drags. This reel should solve the problem. The drag works great. Going out for Big fish in 2 weeks.

I have yet to find a dislike. It's ready to use out of the box, has 10# floracarbon line pre-installed. You buy a rod and go fish. It's very smooth and surprisingly cast out very far, lol. I respooled this reel with 10 lb braid. I was a bit concerned that this line might not work well in this type of reel, but I have had no issues.
This reel is vastly superior to the zebco spincasters i have used before. Very smooth and casts / retrieved flawlessly.
It is a large reel, so little/ young kids (with small hands) will need to practice .
I havent used a spincaster in years, but this one will see a lot of action.
