Answer: Not sure I follow the question. That is what Kast King charges on their website and what Academy sells it for.

How do you open the lubrication port?

Answer: It's usually a small hatch on the underside of the reel (where the main gear is located) can be secured with a small screw or open hole.

Would this would stand up to saltwater fishing?

Answer: I have taken mine to the bay without any issue. Definitely has more than enough drag for any bay fish. I rinse my reels down fully when I'm done. No tools are required to open this reel up, rinse it out and oil up the spool bearings.

What size fishing line and type do you suggest to use for bass fishing?

Answer: Depends what technique you're fishing and/or the size of bait being used. For drop-shot I use 15lbs braid with an Alberto knot connecting 8lbs fluorocarbon. If I'm throwing cranks baits I'll use just straight 12lbs floro. Spinnerbait I'll use 15lbs. Floro

Answer: Couldn't find any info that states that, but I use mine for bay fishing and fully rinse and oil when I'm done. No tools needed to tear it open and maintenance it.

Answer: No, it is about a 150-200 class size baitcasting reel. If I remember correctly I was able to spool it with about 130-150yds of 40lb braid.

Is speed demon elite work of saltwater?

Answer: Probably if well rinsed after each trip.

10.5:1 2 failed and returned. Same problems, the drag and/or spool ratchet fails to engage spool retrieve.

Look up on the internet, this seems to be a known issue.

Think I'll be staying away from Kastking reels from now on, Back to Shimano.

As an owner of 5 Shimano Curados I'd put this reel as good or better once you get it set I don't know hotw you're going to backlash it. Not saying you can't but you'd have really screw up and my god fast it's crazy fast highly recommend going to order another.

It can even be setup to the point to where you don't have to thumb the reel which is great because i am teaching my kid to use casting reels and this helps alot. I would definately recommend.
