What lb max drag?

Does okuma offer any warranty I bought one and after three months the thumb button sticks and won’t release to cast

Answer: I have no idea I have never broken one before usually they're pretty tough

Can this reel be used for saltwater fishing?

Answer: That is not the type of fishing this reel is made for, but everything is interchangeable. You would have to clean it very well if used in a salt water environment. And, this is a medium light weight reel so, depending on what your target species is, would be your deciding answer.

Answer: Probably a little light for saltwater. I'm using mine for steelhead on the Oregon Coast.

Answer: I wouldn't really recommend this for saltwater. It's intended for freshwater, has a pretty low drag weight. If you are fishing for small fish you certainly could use it but I'd worry about corrosion. Okuma made a good saltwater baitcaster called the Serrano. I have one of them that I use for Bass fishing. I'd look for that instead. Since its out of production you should be able to find them cheap on amazon.

Answer: 9BB+1RB Bearing drive system.

Would this reel be good for trolling for salmon in the mouth of the Columbia River?

Answer: Very capable but not superhuman. Not really large enough, nor really designed for trolling.

Its amazing what manufacturers try to pass off as a quality product for "your" money,received reel knobs have enough play in them with a nice worn out feeling strait out of the box....next go to adjust the cast control,no matter what setting (no matter how loose the spool tensioner knob is)it puts so much drag on the reel handle couldn't imagine fishing 10 minutes with it,next made in china thats a given these days.I own many okuma products this one makes me not want to purchase any more "okuma" products....thankyou amazon for letting me return this p.o.s.
