Answer: yes it does

Is there a left handed model?

Answer: Yes they have one, funny its cheaper then the right hand one. I think it was $79.00 and the right hand one was $104.00. Go figure

Josh Matlock : Expensive paperweight

I really wanted to like this item, but it proved to be an expensive piece of garbage. Although it came with a battery installed, I wouldn't have known because it didn't turn on when I received the package. So I attempted to take off the battery cover to put one in.

The battery cap was actually very difficult to get off of the reel. As soon as I was able, I found that there was a battery in it already, but it wasn't making good contact with the battery terminal. I re-secured the cap, and got the power to turn on for a split second before turning off again and becoming non-responsive. Very impractical.

I will be returning this, and avoiding Abu Garcia in the future.
