Excellent lightweight finesse spinning reel. I was a little concerned with the small line capacity of this and most 1000 series reels but it handles more than enough light braid and flouro leader to get the job done. Very smooth operation, enough drag for even big smallmouth bass on finesse gear and excellent sensitivity. The small spool helps avoid the common ned rig and drop shot mistake of retrieving too fast. Very pleased!

This is a great pro quality reel to match up with a 10 foot Crappie Hunter Rod by Shakespeare. Lightweight for easy casting and balanced for vertical jigging. Holds plenty of invisible 6lb Kovert Florocarbon line for easy re-tying. No need to use braid to leader combinations unless you need visibility for line watching. I can recommend for Crappie, Panfish, Trout, Bass & Small Catfish due to the smooth drag.
