Product reviews of Penn Clash II Spinning Reel - Lightweight Saltwater Shore and Kayak Fishing Reel for Lure Fishing - Sea Fishing Reel for Bass, Pollack, Cod, Wrasse
Jaysinism : Light and Smooth
This is a really nice fishing reel. I took the reel out this weekend and did a little bit of bass fishing with it. I caught a couple nice sized bass with the fishing reel. I spooled it up with 10lb test spider wire fishing line. The action and feel of this fishing reel is super smooth. I can easily cast out very far with this fishing reel much further than my other spinning reels. The retrieve is also very nice a buttery smooth. The quality of this fishing reel is fantastic. I have really been enjoying fishing with this fishing reel. I would highly recommend this fishing reel.
jason wells : Works great
Works great
NaughtiLiterati : High quality reel that hubby loves using!
It has given him many a wonderful afternoon on the lake and brought us home some impressive dinners! It is sturdy and well designed and the mechanism on it works great. He is overall very happy with the feel and look of it and it has replaced an old favorite that he has been using. A wonderful gift!
Pepe : Marvelous
I have so many reels, specially from Penn. This is by far the quiets of them all. I hooked a large mouth and it was so fun. Made the reel cry. So much fun to use small reels while catching big fish. I will recommend.
Leonard C : Clash II Great reel.
Best spinning reel I’ve owned. Now have 5000, 3000 and the 2000.
Leonard C : Clash II Great reel.
Best spinning reel I’ve owned. Now have 5000, 3000 and the 2000.
raymond a. : Great reel
Great reel. Light weight and reliable
j1832 : Penn knocked this one out of the park
I bought 2 of these reels, the 2500 and the 5000. I matched the 2500 with a Fenwick HMG rod and put the 5000 on a Shimano Trevala. First fish on the 2500 was a 26" Red Drum. Absolutely love these reels! They are quiet and strong. The drag system is very smooth and strong. The 2500 is as good as my 4000 Stradic. Highly recommend!
Larson : Pretty decent reel
This isn't the best reel I've had, but it's far from the worst, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's lightweight but has been reliable for me, and it feels sturdy enough. Reeling is smooth, oscillation is nice and slow. I like it.
raphael b. : Excellent reel, that's lightweight and durable...
Excellent reel, lightweight and durable.....
J.D. : Longtime Penn Fan ( Disappointed with this reel )
I purchased this reel as new through Amazon. I inspected the reel when it arrived. The reel looked good at first glance. After closer inspection one of the logos looked slightly faded and worn. The other logo which is the same was bold and in excellent condition. I took this reel on vacation to Whidbey Isalnd, Wa. The reel worked well the first day, caught numerous pink salmon. On the second day, the reel started to squeak. By the third day the reel squeaked with every single crank. I cleaned the reel, but it still continues to have problems. I think this reel was refurbished. I’ve never had issues with a Penn within a two day period. Also, not a fan of the handle. Hand slips off periodically when your working the reel. They need to switch to the T-handles that are on the Battle III.
Justin Herman : High quality
This fishing reel is built well and super smooth. The casting is great and the retrieval, even with large fish 20+ lbs, is simple and almost effortless.
