Answer: I've bought 2 of the 2000 series and neither came with EVA knob. It also states that only 3000/4000 series come with an eva

Answer: yes- all the way up to 4000 size

Would a 2000 fit nicely on a 7’6 ML rod?

Is it safe for saltwater fishingb?

Answer: Yes. These reels are sealed and designed for saltwater. Have caught several redfish over 30inches in the Gulf Bay fishing. Highly recommended.

What is the line retrieve rate on the 4000 and the 5000?

3000, can I put mono on this reel? There is no line capacity description for mono. Want to use this for king salmon

Answer: I have the 4000 but I put Mono line 25 lbs, because I don’t like the braided one . Based on my calculation, it has the capacity of a little over 150 yards. For your 3000, with 25 lbs Mono line, it should hold 120 yards more or less. If you go deep sea fishing for king salmon, you should be okay at a little over 300 feet deep. Mono of 25 lbs is probably strong enough. Mono line nowadays is strong.

Answer: You can but it won't hold a whole lot of what you would feel comfortable with when fishing Kings. Me, I do braid with Fluorocarbon leaders with a line to line connection like FG or Alberto knots. Barrel swivels will have you buying a new tip and messes up one's presentations.

Warranty. do these reels have any type of warranty? i had a piece of plating break off the first day i used it. not critical but i would like to know.

I bought the EVT2000 and 3000 models. They are very smooth and a very nice drag. I have several penn conflict 2s the sama sizes and find myself picking up the tsunami more often then the penns. My only complaint is about the EVT3000. If you are throwing plugs all day on the pier it will wear you out. It feels quite a bit heavier then the 2000 model to me. I have caught everything from trash fish to spanish and slot drum with zero failure. All sizes come with an oversized machined knob which is very nice. Ive used them since the beginning of the year and wanted to give it a few months before reviewing. Thats fishing a least 1 day a week some weeks up to 5 days
