Jewel Eakins craw
4" worm..
3" Pit Boss
Right now it's a Rage Baby Craw.
Berkley chigger chunk. I can't wait to try the RI smallie beaver.

River Rock Baits Jake's Craw, it is very similar to the Eakins craw. I also like Prowler lures pro small chunk and the Zoom Super Chunk Jr. and the Skinny Chunk.
I boated some of my best smallies this year using Huddleston Huddle bugs as trailers, sans tail. Looks just like a bite-sized craw.
I actually like using the small curly tails off of finesse worms for finesse trailers. I clip off two and stick them on. It looks awesome in the water and gives the bass a break from craws.
Z-Man Turbo craw-z
Finesse, well fish Netbaits Chunk and Tiny Chunks as well as Kietech's Swing Impacts 3".
I enjoy using the rage tail menace grub. I'm also a fan of the beaver style bait. My favorite beavers are the Sweet Beaver by Reaction Innovations and the Strike King Rodent.
Swim jigs: Rage Tail Menace and Shellcracker
Traditional jigs: Rage Craw or Baby Craw
how about when the water cools down?On 11/28/2014 at 11:07 PM, roadwarrior said:Swim jigs: Rage Tail Menace and Shellcracker

I fish the same trailers, but a lot slower. Each cast may take 3-5 minutes.
Baby Rage Craws or just the head and claws off of a 3" YUM Mighty Bug. Which YUM has stopped making...
Baby Brush Hog, that´s "finesse" in my book .... notice it´s Baby size
Try a Reins Bubbling Shaker or Ring Craw. They are pretty hard to find at local tackle shops but if you can find them they work great for smallmouths on a micro-jig. The floating action gives them alittle something extra to attract the bass. I also like to use a devil spear in slightly stained water.
The smallest yum craw papi, which I'm not sure if it has been discontinued or what. 3" chigger craw before berkley changed them. 3" berkley crazy legs chigger craw with the legs trimmed off, which are now also discontinued. I liked to fish these on a 3/16 booyah baby boo jig, which I can't find anymore either! They have been out of stock everywhere for almost a year!
So I'm in the market for a new finesse jig trailer.

does the ring craw have a thick body to it?
Rage baby craw or a 2" chunk
The ring craw does not have a real thick body. Its light enough to float. The rings lighten it up alot. They do rip pretty easy.

Baby Rage Craw
Super Chunk Jr
Twin tail grub
I'll stay away from those because they are so pricy. On 11/29/2014 at 9:15 AM, Gundog said:The ring craw does not have a real thick body. Its light enough to float. The rings lighten it up alot. They do rip pretty easy.
I use the paca chunk a lot, but if I want a rattle to change things up I will put a tiny paca craw with a tiny round tube rattle in it
Rage craws and grubs
Netbait tiny paca chunk, zoom creepy crawler, and the smallest yum craw pappy.
Net Bait makes a color in the small Paca chunk sold locally called Table Rock red that works well for me. Also for the 5/16 and 3/8 jigs my old stand by is to use a speed craw and tear off the first section before threading it on the hook. The profile is just about right for a finesse jig.

Year around.
for a finesse jig, zoom z hog jr
Erie darter jr's are becoming one of my favorite jig trailers for river smallies when the water temps are in the 30's.
Baby Rage Craw or Zman Batwingz.
Anyone ever use a strike king river bug as a finese or small profile trailer? They are almost like a baby version of the rodent I believe. I'm trying to find a finese jig trailer for a shallow clear water river that will pair with a strike king bitsy bug jig.
Zoom Ultravibe Speed Craw
Twin Tail Grub
Baby Rage Craw
Baby D-Bomb
Biffle bug Jr
Yum boogee tail (it's a spinnerbait trailer but works great on a jig as well)
I've used those strike king river bugs as trailers and they work great. Only problem is they are a walmart exclusive bait (which in my opinion is stupid) and can be hard to find. Janns netcraft sells the identical bait called the sweet craw jr.On 12/3/2014 at 8:30 AM, ww3869 said:Anyone ever use a strike king river bug as a finese or small profile trailer? Try an erie darter jr as a trailer on your bitsy bugs. Awesome little finesse trailer!
