Questions about Magreel Folding Fishing Net - Foldable Fish Landing Net, Portable Trout Catching Releasing Landing Net Folding Fishing Net with Collapsible Telescopic Pole Handle, Durable Nylon Mesh Fish Catching Net
Q:
Is this good for catching tadpoles?
Answer: No, the mesh is not fine enough. For tadpoles I’d recommend a smaller handled net, with a smaller net - finer mesh is also a requirement so that tadpoles don’t escape through.
Answer: I don’t thing so. The tads would go through the mesh.
Answer: No, the space between knots are too big!
Q:
How deep is the net?
Answer: The net volume shape (that I have - there are different styles) is that of a cylinder. This means that the circular depth on the X & Y axis is about 12” by 12” (12” diameter circle). The height/depth of the net basket is also about 12” deep.
Answer: Around 12inch
Answer: Dear Mina Lorusso,Thank you for your question. The depth is about 10". For further information, you could refer to the detail page. Hope the above helps.Best regards, Magreel Customer Service Team
Answer: About 10 inch.
Q:
Is it good for bass fishing ?
Answer: Not really the plastic molded connector breaks or first or second use if fish is over 8oz weight fishing in 2020. This needs a simple update for pole to be a fantastic net. It needs a aluminum connector to connect net to its aluminum collapsible pole not the thin molded plastic connector it had in 2020.
Answer: Yes for small to medium sized bass. If you’re catching fish longer than 16”-18” then you may want to get a wider mouth net that is also deeper/taller to fit the larger fish.
Answer: Yes,is suitable for various kinds of fish, such as carp, trout, bass, pike and more.
Answer: Yes I found it to be a good product.
Q:
Will the net float?
Answer: This net was not designed to float, but here is an easy hack you can use: You can attach a cut off piece of a pool noodle to the handle (anywhere along the handle - I’d use a section of noodle that’s greater than 8” or longer if possible). The added pool noodle section should help keep the net floating enough (close enough to the surface of water) to allow you to find it and grab it!
Answer: Dear Customer,Thank you for your question. No, the net won't float. Please rest assured that our fishing net is well made of Nylon , which is heavy-duty and durable and it won't be float when using it. Hope the above helps.Best regards, Magreel Customer Service Team
Answer: No this will not float.
Answer: NO
Q:
Is the net sturdy?
Answer: For the price, yes, however it is not as sturdy as those tried and true all aluminum one-piece fishing net frames. This is a great net for the price though and I’ve put it through some abuse already without any breakages. If you’re able to bring two of these on trips I’d recommend it just in case one breaks, but I’m confident you’ll find the net to be sufficient and reliable for most fishing and crabbing uses.
Answer: Yes mine does well, I've caught some nice cat fish.
Q:
Where is this product made?
Q:

Answer: About 10 inch.
Q:
What's the material of the mesh?
Answer: Plastic coated mesh. Doesn't retain water; just shake to dry.
Answer: It's like a thick nylon. It seems coated as well. I think possibly to prevent injury to the fish? It's really an impressive quality net. We got the triangle net. Very happy with it.
Answer: Dear MK,The Magreel fishnet is made from heavy-duty nylon.
Answer: I don't know exactly as far as the formula but it appears to be some type of very durable plastic it's very flexible and very useful just not for catching chickens LOL I'm sure it would be great for what it was made for and that is for netting fish.
Answer: Nylon.
Q:
I need something long reach to get shells from my kayak on the shoreline. (Not allowed to go on beach) will this work? Is it sturdy when fully extend
Answer: I would think that this net would work very well for this application, just as long as the shells you’re picking up aren’t semi-submerged in the sand (requiring you to dig the shells out using the net). The net will certainly handle the weight of some shells but try not to apply too much perpendicular/downward pressure on the net frame itself.
Answer: Yes, it is very sturdy, we use it for large mouth bass and it holds up great!
Q:
Would this be good for crappie?
Answer: Dear Gregg Griffith,
Answer: Perfect for any and all small lake fish.
Q:
Tht 11 ft longt oh is 58 inchs how show the pictures
Q:
Does the net float?
Answer: This net isn’t designed to float, but here is a hack you can use: You can attach a cut off piece of a pool noodle to the handle (anywhere along the handle - I’d use a section of noodle that’s greater than 8” or so if possible). The added pool noodle section should help keep the net floating enough (close enough to the surface of water) to allow you to find it and grab it!
Answer: I think it’s a little rigid to float.
Q:
How long is it?
Answer: Dear Michelle Traina,Thank you for your question. The length of the Fishing Net is adjustable and there are 4 levels as follows: 174cm68.5 inches full length-139cm54.7 inches-132.5cm52.2 inches-95.5cm37.6 inches shortest length. You could adjust the length through the two plastics according to your needs.Hope the above helps.Best regards, Magreel Customer Service Team
Answer: The shorter one is 39“ and the larger one is 37.6”-68.5“.
Q:
Has rod been updated with a aluminum connector or does nets pole still have plastic connector that breaks first use?
Q:
where the handle and net connects, what is the screw size?
Answer: Thank you for your question.
Answer: Yes it was connected. The net collapse/file down for easy carrying and storage

Paul Matthew Burroughs : Magreel Fishing Net First Impressions and Review
Video goes over everything in detail. Great quality net with a neat opening mechanism. It seems to be big enough to land some monster fish! Disclaimer: I was invited to try the product and they helped me acquire it.

Paul Dunleavy : Versatile Net
I love the net for trout fishing and bass fishing it’s big enough it’s lightweight it folds up when I’m wading in the water I just let it hang in the water from my belt and it’s right there to use the hooks come out of it pretty easy also. It is strong and adjustable.
Marco A : Glad I bought it, I was sketchy.
I had been searching for a net for a long time until I came cross this one. I been seen different similar nets with mixed reviews but i took a chance with this one after seen positive reviews. The net feels sturdy enough and its lightweight. Follow me on Instagram @bassinwithmarco as I may post clips of me using the net to land fish in the near future.
William L. Stiebel : Nice folding fishing net
This folding fishing net seems to fit the bill for a good travel net. It is easy to unfold and extend and appears to be sturdy enough for its intended use. I do especially like the small, packable size when it is folded. I also appreciate to elastic cord attached to the handle. I'll have a better idea of its ease of use after next trip.

GARY : No lost fish because of my net
Trout fishing....love it...great net
Linda Kelly : I wish I had a founded sooner.
The shape of this net was perfect for my small fish pond to remove leaves. The triangular shap allows you to drag along the bottom.
wannabe perfectionist ???? : great portable fishing net that can be packed easily
Our kids love fishing and camping. You don't really need fishing net when you go camping but it comes in handy when we go catching for crawfish or minnows in the rivers and lakes. I bought this because the handle is telescopic pole and even the net can be collapsed and folded for ultimate portability and packing. We already have so many fishing gears and camping gears so a big fishing net is the last thing we want to add to our packing list but this packable fishing net is perfect for our needs. The aluminum pole is very light yet strong and love the triangular fishing net that is very wide and deep when opened. The Nylon mesh for the net itself seems very durable as well. This portable fishing net is perfect and can't wait to pack it during our fishing and camping trips in the summer! Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!
Elated Customer : Exceeded Expectations!
Just got this on Father's Day and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The netting and frame quality exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to net my first fish!
MightyMike : Highly recommend
I bought this net for retrieving trash from the water at the nearby local lake. I used it almost immediately and was satisfied with the performance of this product. It seems sturdy, yet lightweight. I was able to telescope the handle easily and quickly, and could reach the trash and scoop it up with no issues. Net cleaned very easily afterwards, despite grabbing rotting leaves and seaweed along with the litter. I'm pleased with this purchase

Cassie B : Broke the first time it was used
I thought it felt sturdy and decent quality upon receiving the item, but it broke very easily. Tried to use to scoop up a medium/small-sized fish and it broke at the neck the very first time I used it. Very disappointed.
Delfin Padilla : Buen articulo
Se ve bastante bueno solo falta probarlo
bcrocketclub : Good Quality, Strong Fishing Net
Great quality net! The net is much stronger than we thought it would be and it is easy to pop down and up.

Amazon Customer : Nice net
Needed a fishing net with a long handle. This telescoping handle is sturdy and durable. Collapses down to something that is easy to carry and store.

Mcluvin : Works great
Folds and un folds quick and easy. Seems sturdy enough for what ever fish will fit in it. Would be very nice if the handle was threaded to attach a broom handle to as an extension. Wouldn't cost hardly nothing for them and would make it much more versatile. And be a better value
Armchair Chef : great once you figure it out.
this does not come with any instructions on how to unfold it and use it. i was afraid i would break it because you have to unsnap it and bend this and pull that before you can open or close it. I think thats really stupid not to have any instructions or a picture of some kind. other than that, it's a good net and a good size for carrying with me in my kit for fishing.
BK3 : Great net
A lot stronger then I expected.
Amazon Customer : Very handy
Nice net , hooks right on my backpack
Robert Orth : Can’t answer to sturdiness
As we haven’t netted any monsters yet but a great bet to keep on-hand and it stows like a charm..
Victoria Moson : Works great!
Great value for the money.
Aaron H. : Can't go wrong buy it ????
This is a great, durable net. I love how small it gets for travel without sacrifice of actual net size or rugged Durability. We took it to the mountains and trekking everywhere it was great.
Elaine S. Roach : Compact, lightweight but sturdy.
I catch and release but I’m no longer able to kneel comfortably to release trout and have found this extending handle perfect for gently returning the trout back into the water. Have only had a chance to use it on one trip but so far it’s worked great. Light weight and easily fits into the back of my vest.
darryl henry : Good prop for pictures, not catching anything. Maybe butterflies
The folding feature is convenient but is a flaw, the mechanism that locks the net in position is plastic. I was so excited to take my 4yr old bait catching, but it broke after the first dip into the bank. Happened on the way up from the water. Nothing but water in the net.
Armand : a little stiff to open, mechanics work great.
I love it. I have not used it to pull in a fish yet, but I can tell it will do the job exceptionally well. My only concern is I need two hands to open it, and I wish it would open with a flick of the wrist more easily. I am hopeful this will improve with wear. As it is, it is a great value, and worth the one problem for the compactness of the net.
Melsa : Convenient
Nice little net that folds up for easy travel. Going to be for the kids to use- will be fun.

Travis D. : Very nice net for bait fish or medium size bass.
I needed a small net for catching bait and this one is great. Packs up small and can hold small bait fish and is strong enough to land fish probably up to 8-10 lbs. Good purchase.
brandi : Buy it
It could still be the high from buying a new boat or the net is really that cool but I was pleasantly surprised. I love how compact and easy to store it is. The fact the net is more of a rubber instead of rope makes it appear to be more durable and I love that it doesn't stay wet and dries quickly. Large capacity and snaps in easily. Super happy with it, especially since it was cheap in comparison to others with less features. Will be using it for fishing and when things unintentionally land in the water while pontoning lol
Matthew L. Timmer : Compact and durable
We purchased these nets for a trip to Florida. They folded up perfectly and were packed in a suitcase. My daughters were able to use them for their lizard catching adventures. The nets are high quality and very sturdy. Good value!
Angelina G. Rafatti : The net broke off on first use
We were so disappointed! This was bought as a Christmas gift and we just took it to the lake to use and it snapped right off when trying to catch a fish.
Jodi Olesen : Do You Fish??? You NEED This Net!!
This arrived today and I used it tonight. Was easily able to use it to land a 10 plus pound carp with just one easy swipe of the wrist. LOVE this net!! Highly recommend!!
Surfbro Phil : Great net
The net worked out great on a recent trout fishing trip to Colorado. I liked the long handle and the belt clip they proved to be very handy. This net has plastic coating on the net and it really makes a difference. The fish don't get stuck in the webbing and you are not harming the fish in any way. The long handle gives you the reach you need when fly fishing and the clip keeps the net with you and not on the shoreline.
Tamara Moore : Great product
Great net!
Jason : Solid little fold up net.
Honestly it's a good little fishing net. It folds up small and suites away well. Great for trout fishing. I really appreciate the fact that is knotless to help keep the fish healthy, and reduce hooks getting tangled in the net.
MB Miller : Great purchase!
Net is much sturdier and of a higher quality than I was expecting. When fully extended the net still feels sturdy enough to wrangle in large fish. The net expands much larger than I expected based on how small the net is when it is collapsed.

Shamilia : Great for kids too!
Bought for my kids to go fishing and frogging. Has a nice sturdy handle and good length. Not sure about disability yet but hopefully it'll hold up well.

Happy Customer : Get one.
I bought this handy fishing net to replace a homemade, wooden handle net. This one is way to use, projects out 4’, and the netting material will last a long time. I happen to catch on sale and was better priced than WalMart and Academy’s.
Kristina Solomon : Great product.
Great product, arrived on time, and no issues so far. We only use it on occasion when kayak fishing. Perfect for what we were looking for.

Jonathan Doe Sr. : Compact, Quality and Sturdy
My wife and I "Adventure Fish" (walk into an area, usually wearing waders, with nothing more than a backpack and our rods). This is our net of choice (It's our second one, one each). It folds down and clips to the MOLLE straps on our backpacks easily and folds out and locks sturdily when needed. The coating on the webbing and the aluminum hardware hold up well to saltwater use (when rinsed afterwards with freshwater, as is a good practice). As previously mentioned, we've purchased a second net and would recommend this net to anyone.
