Answer: Not sure what o-ring you referring to, the lip gripper has a small hole in the end that the stainless hook attached to the scale hooks into. Works well for me so far...

Excellent quality scale, very durable and accurate. Being waterproof is definitely a plus.. the only minor thing I did not care for is the fact that to change out the batteries in the back it has two very small screws that would be really easy to lose if your out fishing at night or at the lake by the sand. You also have to have the small screw driver that comes with it. Like I said not a major issue enough to not give it 5 stars but ease of access to change out batteries would be a plus!! I also like to remove my batteries when it’s not being used, being able to do this quickly after use would be nice.. I have not been disappointed with Runcl products and I will continue to purchase from them.. high quality products and very reasonable prices. Thumbs up Runcl????????????

Product is poorly designed for the way the grip attaches to the scale. 1st time using it the fish squirmed and flopped right off back into the water with the grip still attached to its mouth. Needs to have some mechanism to keep it in place so a wiggling fish doesn't make it come undone.

Good product overall, got it and took out immediately (rare but we had good weather today) and snagged a pickerel. Scale seems accurate and can be changed to lbs. Having the tape measure is nice (mine was a little jammed in there but once i got it out it was great). Only ask is that the lip grip was more spring loaded rather than clamp as i feel it may harm the fish (strictly catch and release guy here) overall good product and decent size, i wont be afraid of dropping it as its got a good size and grip on it.

This scale works great, its water proof and compact so it fits in a sweatshirt pocket and paired with the included lip grip although small you're set to grip and weigh. The integrated tape measure is a plus too.

Recently purchased this scale to replace my Rapala one and I can honestly say I am impressed. It has so many little features that makes sure you get the most accurate and concise weight reading. Not only is the screen bright and clear, it has a weight lock feature that reads your weight readout and keeps it there till you're ready to clear it. Features like that really impress me since it is a feature that may seem minuscule, but it improves the overall experience. On top of that, it is waterproof which is especially good for fishing. Overall a wonderful product.

It works fine except it has to be re tared every weight. So if you have a 5 gallon bucket of flour and you tare the pail and then weigh it, dump it and then put more in you have to tare the bucket first again before the second weight.

I planned on using this to tare one 5 gallon bucket and then weighing multiple filled buckets for approximate weight. Due to the design it hasn’t worked out for me

Only used this scale two or three times.Screen had moisture under it and quit working shortly after that. It was never in the rain, and was kept in the truck when we weren't fishing. I would not recommend it. Nice color of blue though.

Besides this scale being truly waterproof (a wave splashed my open tackle bag) the scale also comes with a built in measuring tape! Overall, this Runcl scale is replacing my old Mustad scale. Oh yes! The scale also comes with pliers, batteries, strap, and a screwdriver (my Mustad did not come with any of that).

Works good for those glory pics. It's not perfect all the time close enough. It can be off +or - .05oz or .1oz but no big deal. I weight a 5# weight 20 time and the average was 4.96#. Did drop this unit in the water and it still work great after it dried out and is still working well.

I finally got a chance to use this when I caught a 5 lb flounder. I weighed it and it was right at 5lbs on the dot. I wasn't sure how accurate the scale was so on my way home, I stopped by the local tackle store and had it weighed. The official scales had the fish at 5 lbs on the dot as well. I'm very impressed with the accuracy of the scale!
