Answer: Not sure what o-ring you referring to, the lip gripper has a small hole in the end that the stainless hook attached to the scale hooks into. Works well for me so far...

Works great on bigger fish (lbs) and smaller fish (ounces). I like the tape measure. Comes with batteries and even the screw driver. I keep it in my dry box for my boat. The Tare option is great. The screen has a back light so when it is dark or low light situation you can still read the screen.

I finally got a chance to use this when I caught a 5 lb flounder. I weighed it and it was right at 5lbs on the dot. I wasn't sure how accurate the scale was so on my way home, I stopped by the local tackle store and had it weighed. The official scales had the fish at 5 lbs on the dot as well. I'm very impressed with the accuracy of the scale!

This scale feels high quality. It has a nice gripped handle and seems to be very strong. I tested accuracy with a 5lbs weight and it was spot on. It has a lot of other items that will come in handy when you have a catch to weigh. The rare feature makes getting the correct weight easy. I like the 3 ft tape measure built in. It is a little hard for me to access but after messing with it I think I found out how to use it well enough.

It has worked so far first digital fish scale I have owned. It does the job the clamp is smaller than it looks but actually works out as I haven't caught any huge fish lol. The scale says it goes to 100 lbs but with winter coming I have been lucky to pull 1 ponders. Good bang for the buck I would definitely buy as a gift or something this the battery can be replaced so I don't think I will will needing another one for a while. It is waterproof and rugged I would definitely recommend.
