Answer: Not sure what o-ring you referring to, the lip gripper has a small hole in the end that the stainless hook attached to the scale hooks into. Works well for me so far...

I spent a bit of time looking up a hand held scale that would fit the bill for what I needed in one. Everything about this scale has lived up to my expectations; super comfort table to hold, either on the edges or above on the handle, the attachments for holding various different things, and all around good quality. Pros - bigger, thicker, easier to hold

I have another scale and got this one to keep with my other bag of gear. I like this one much better than the name brand I have. It’s accurate, easier to read and stays on pounds when I turn it on, which is annoying with the other one. Also I like the small fish grippers it comes with.

Works good for those glory pics. It's not perfect all the time close enough. It can be off +or - .05oz or .1oz but no big deal. I weight a 5# weight 20 time and the average was 4.96#. Did drop this unit in the water and it still work great after it dried out and is still working well.

Besides this scale being truly waterproof (a wave splashed my open tackle bag) the scale also comes with a built in measuring tape! Overall, this Runcl scale is replacing my old Mustad scale. Oh yes! The scale also comes with pliers, batteries, strap, and a screwdriver (my Mustad did not come with any of that).

Very clear display, easy to read. The attachments that come with the scale are very handy and easy to use. Large handle opening is convenient and provides a firm grip on the scale. A padded storage case would have been a nice addition. Overall very pleased with the performance thus far!

Bought this for my dad in April & now it’s no longer working after getting wet!? Which seems odd since it’s for fish that come from the water! I don’t why but I’m pretty bummed. My dad was so excited when I surprised him with this as an early bday gift.

It works fine except it has to be re tared every weight. So if you have a 5 gallon bucket of flour and you tare the pail and then weigh it, dump it and then put more in you have to tare the bucket first again before the second weight.

I planned on using this to tare one 5 gallon bucket and then weighing multiple filled buckets for approximate weight. Due to the design it hasn’t worked out for me

I just got back from a 4 day camping trip where I did a lot of fishing and put these scales to the test. So far, I'm very happy with this product. It is just as good, if not better than, my last digital scales (they went tits up on me last month). These scales are easy to handle and come with a few free accessories for versatility. The controls are easy to use and the backlit display is easy to read - even in the midday sun. Plus, it's waterproof - a definite necessity on my boat. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.
