Fish pellets drew the minnows in quickly for about 30 minutes, then nothing and they eventually escape. I would not leave trap unattended if there are turtles about. For me, bait was key, trapped 10-20 minnows in short order. Beats one man seining!

BH : Great minnow net
This is very nice. You have to weight it to keep it down as it is fairly light but it is solid. The zipper is plastic so be careful with it as it zips up pretty tight but overall it is good quality. Cant wait to take it out to the creek and catch minnows and crawdads with the kids!

I really like this but it is very, very susceptible to damage by straw grass on banks and even turtles. The zipper broke after using it twice. I’m not returning it tho, I like it enough to just use zip ties. We caught 3 turtles, big ones, and a dozen fish over the course of 2 half hour sets. Kids love it.
