Be careful of the hole size. My state requires 2in maximum minnows or Crawdads, these are wider. I tied a string through the holes to shrink them so its a legal trap.

been using this off my pier at the county lake to catch bait fish, it works fine and collects minnows and some small perch too. I leave it down there most of the time, it's really perfect for the job - no issues. Not sure what else one could want for a trap like this, it serves its function.

I thought the net was much bigger than it was. I was a little disappointed when I saw how small the actual net was. The string was also much shorter than I thought it would be. Some advice would be to pay attention to the dimensions before purchasing this product.

I’ve only used a couple times so far but it works really well for catching minnows. Since I read other reviews before purchasing I knew to handle the zipper which holds the trap open with care as it is a bit fragile. But if you take your time setting it up this trap works like a charm. I put some bread inside mine and put in a drainage ditch for 15 minutes and viola, it had quite a few baby tilapia, shiners, mosquito fish and even a few mollies in it.
