Is this scale waterproof?

How well do the grippers work & how accurate is the scale? Looking to get answers from someone that has put theirs to use

Answer: Grippers work great. Used them again today to grab one and two catfish at a time. Scales seem to be pretty accurate from what I can tell. I tested them and the were within a couple of ounces. Who knows which one was off.

Answer: I’ve had this about a month and it works well. Grippers hold a 5lb feisty bass without letting go. Scale measures repeatably each time but I haven’t checked the accuracy against a known weight. I would recommend the purchase.

Answer: Grippers work good on smaller fish.. broke mine on an 80lb blue

Answer: My husband said it works great. He uses it every time he goes fishing.

So I bought this as a birthday present. It came quickly, and the amazon delivery person left it at the door with a picture. I open the package , and it seems as though this has been used! The box with the scale was open and the batteries removed. The dehooker also is not the same one as advertised. It’s much shorter. So disappointing!

This is very cheaply made. Definitely straight from China. It shows up in several zip lock bags and underwhelming to say the least. Good for Kids who will lose it after a couple trips

Where are the included batteries. Scale is very small (see photo). No seal around battery case so not water resistant at all. Key chain loop has a bonded plastic coil with plastic end loops holding keychain loop, so don't pull hard or it will break. Fish gripper floats, and locks shut with nothing in the jaws. So don't think you can grip a fish, lock it, and weigh it on the scale. Internal ruler binds up at 70cm, not the advertised 100cm. Cheap stuff. Not made to last. Thanks China.

This is a very easy to use fish scale and tape measure. You can either tare out the clamp after turning on the scale or have the clamp already on the scale before you turn it on which automatically tares it out. Simple and accurate.

I changed this up a little and took the hook off the scale and used a giant key ring to attach the grippers to the scale. I had to drill out the handle but it worked. As long as the grippers are hanging freely when you turn the scale on it will zero out the scale for no guess work accurate weights
