Product reviews of YVLEEN Folding Fishing Net - Foldable Fish Landing Net Robust Aluminum Telescopic Pole Handle and Nylon Mesh 16inch Hoop Size
Johnny T : Great for catching smaller fish.
Not deep or sturdy for bigger fish.
natasha royston : I would buy it again.
I haven't caught a fish ( lol ) yet, but I like the quality and it looks of it.
Jarod Perkins : Great deal
Lightweight and folds well. The belt clip is nice too for hiking the streams
Bryce Jay Follett : Awesome net!
Love that it folds down! not much to say about it, it's a fishing net. Definitely got some hooks caught up in it that I had to cut away, but I'm sure that's just the way it goes with fishing nets in general. My boat is pretty small and doesn't have a ton of space, so this was pretty nice to keep it out of the way. Able to scoop up 18" rainbow trouts with no trouble. The rubber coating is nice too to keep the fish protected if you're releasing them again
Andre Ardoin : Sturdy good product
Very sturdy handle isn’t very long though
PAUL S : Good net
Good net
hoagiesru : Nice, sturdy foldable fishing net
Nice sturdy lightweight fishing net. The net folds up small making it easy to stow and carry. The extension handle seems sturdy and easy to use. The locking clasp to open and close the net is plastic but made of a sturdy plastic the feels very tough. The spring loaded locking mechanism is a bit tight but I imagine that means it will keep it from folding up unintentionally. The net is a nice durable feeling met with roughly quarter size holes. It has a waxy coating on it which I imagine is what is said to protect the fish scales from damage. The holes are small enough this could be used for minnows and other small bait fish. The only drawback is the bag it comes with. It needs to be slightly larger to make it easy to store and retrieve. It is so right it feels like the zipper will fail at any minute. That is, if you can get it in the bag once you take it out. I did not deduct any rating for this as I don’t plan to store it in the bag long term. More of a novelty and nice add on, but I don’t plan to keep it.
Heather : So far so good
I just got this yesterday I'm planning on using it for catching bats that we've been having trouble with getting into my house the past 2 weeks. The old fishing net of my dad's has big holes that every single bat has escaped from so this one appears to be perfect so far so good!!
Virginia : Fits in my pontoon boat's seat
This does exactly what I need it to do, and folds away for easy storage.
Amanda Lyons : Cute net for kids
I got this for a present for a 10 yrs old boy and he absolutely loved it!
Adam Rickett : Works
Super cool
Amazon Customer : It works
Better than what I expected!!! It will land fish for sure, not something that will last a lifetime but it will do for a few seasons. Only thing I found that was kinda odd is that there is a key ring connecting the net to the pole at the base. O well overall like I said it will works
Chet : Came on time and good value
Looks good but have not tried it yet
Julie L. Garza : Definitely alot smaller then I thought it would be.
Tiny, weak...cant hold the big fish
Mike M : looks nice, folds easily and into very compact size
Seems like a good item folds and unfolds well, very nice looking when unfolded seems a bit flimsy and not sure if will be able to hold a larger fish well, but time will show!
Mike : Good small net for the price
Purchased to take camping ands fish from a canoe. Served its purpose and doesn't take up much space.
Julie L. Garza : Definitely alot smaller then I thought it would be.

Norm : Nice alternative.
Very impressed with the feel of this. Nice and compact for my kayak.
Brandon Brewer : Broke on first fishing trip.
2 stars because the locking mechanism broke during first use while unfolding it. Otherwise would've been an easy 5 stars. Looks beautiful. Netting is high quality. Folding/telescoping action is a game changer. May have just gotten a defective one. Will probably give it another try and update review later.
Ron : Nice net but broke on first day.
Broke after 1st day use. I was using in the ocean and it broke after about an hour.
bill : Fish lander
this worked great at landing fish 12 to 18 inches long while pole fishing. folds up nice and the strings are coated giving strength and durability.
also tried to use it tracking down some koi fish in my pond, very slow in the water to catch anything.
but a good net for fishing.

Will : Great if You Don't Fish Heavy
Used this for about a month or two and it already bent from an 8lb catfish and then the plastic at the "Y" part of the net broke. This is not meant for larger fish. If you are fishing 3lbs and lighter, will work great but anything more will break it.
Kayla : So easy to use and definitely deserves all 5 stars!
This net is durable, lightweight and SO easy to use! I took a video to show the ease of unfolding and folding it back up to fit into the carrying case. It’s perfect for anyone who loves fishing and my husband says it is worth ALL 5 stars!
Adam Rickett : Works
Super cool
Chet : Came on time and good value
Looks good but have not tried it yet
Another Review : People posting good reviews about this net aren't catching big fish
I would not use this net for anything other than freshwater fishing. Small panfish maybe. Mine broke during opening/collapsing after unboxing. Once I noticed how this thing hinges together and how flimsy it was, I was glad it broke during testing and not out in the water. Great idea, bad execution. Spend a little more and get a good one in my opinion.
Chet : Came on time and good value
Looks good but have not tried it yet
Michael Rippie : Cheep built
Don't leave it in the sun. It will rot. Handel is way to short. Cheap china made junk.
Millie : Nice net for frogs.
Perfect for my daughter to catch frogs with. I love that it folds up. It doesn’t take up any room. We haven’t used it for fish yet
Jarod Perkins : Great deal

Very impressed with the feel of this. Nice and compact for my kayak.

K. M. Hanna : Broke during first use
I bought two. First time my son used one of them it broke. Now looking for something similar that will hold up. Very disappointed.
Big Vic : Great Net!
This net is great! Stores away easy in its own bag. Strong and sturdy. Will last a while. I use it for trout. Love the color of the metal.
MyOtherNewName : Great compact net
Very nice folding net. Great for the average size fish. 4 Stars because I Caught a 7 pound rainbow trout and it struggled a bit. I would recommend this item.
Caroline : All you need.
Just what two girls needed to fish. It’s not long so you’ll have to bend or get down to catch something but easy to store and works great.
Mel Rios : Made well, opens easily, nice and compact. Perfect for a canoe or kayak.
Purchased this for my wife. She likes how compact it is as well as how easily it opens. This was a perfect addition to her fishing set up. I have tried it as well and I really like it for the money.
Will : Great if You Don't Fish Heavy
Used this for about a month or two and it already bent from an 8lb catfish and then the plastic at the "Y" part of the net broke. This is not meant for larger fish. If you are fishing 3lbs and lighter, will work great but anything more will break it.
Fetsis : Easy to use, stores compactly
Great net for fishing while wading or out of a kayak. Easy to unfold and deep enough to hold moderately sized fish quite easily. Not suitable for larger species, but certainly not designed to be landing 50" muskies either. Nice net!
Bill Ladlee : Must have for bait fish
Very convenient net, I use it to scoop minnows for bait. It comes with it's own carry bag! Very pleased.
Frank Gould : Unique Application - Extraction Success
This net worked like magic for a unique situation I needed to complete without killing all fish, clams, snails, shrimp, and other organisms in our pond. We made a dumb mistake when we converted our swimming pool into a natural pond when we included tilapia as one of our stock fish. After we had gorgeous native water lilies blooming in our shallow end, separated by tilapia fence from the deep end, the tilapia bred and their babies invaded the shallow end through the fence openings, grew to adults, and ate the lilies. Since then, we've waited for a freeze cold enough to kill the semi-topical tilapia but it hadn't happened since.
Then after fish management pros suggested poisoning the whole pond as the only way to get rid of them, I figure out a better solution using food to attract and train the fish to be fearless of the net. The YVLEEN Folding Fishing Net turned out to be the perfect length and depth to fan out in the water while the fish schooled on the edge waiting for me to feed them.
I focused on conditioning the tilapia so they were comfortable with the net and would swim in-and-out of it without fear. Once they appeared to accept the net, I threw food away to distract the school of native fish while I scooped up a tilapia or two from the rest. One can be seen in the included video with this post.
This doesn't say much for baited line fishers use of the net but I was pleased with the ability to leave it in the water and not fear it would rot or decay. Now that it's Winter and I've stopped feeding all fish, I've stored the net out of water so that it's ready in case any more tilapia show up in the Spring.
Caroline : All you need.
Just what two girls needed to fish. It’s not long so you’ll have to bend or get down to catch something but easy to store and works great.
Travis : Packs small
Great for small fish nothing over 5lbs. Works great for hiking
Lemongrass : Weak material
Broke the second time I used it. Their return policy is so slow.
Kelly C. : Overall good product...but snags hooks easily.
Overall...it’s a good product. It folds well and saves space in my boat, as I can store it in one of the hatches. The one downside is it EASILY catches hooks when netting a fish and can be a real pain to get the hook free.
Jc : Great net great price!
Works great! Love the folding feature makes it easy to carry and to store. Material seems pretty sturdy. Would love to see options for netting size.
L. Shortt : Way too short
I guess I didn't understand the description. This is way too short to do any good. Am returning it.
Kim : I’d buy it again
Good product
