Product reviews of YVLEEN Folding Fishing Net - Foldable Fish Landing Net Robust Aluminum Telescopic Pole Handle and Nylon Mesh 16inch Hoop Size
Mel Rios : Made well, opens easily, nice and compact. Perfect for a canoe or kayak.
Purchased this for my wife. She likes how compact it is as well as how easily it opens. This was a perfect addition to her fishing set up. I have tried it as well and I really like it for the money.
Virginia : Fits in my pontoon boat's seat
This does exactly what I need it to do, and folds away for easy storage.
Ben : Great value smallish extension net
Works great. Easy to fold down and up. Rubbery netting.
kel51 : Smaller then you think it will be.
It would work well bank fishing for smaller fish. Handle it short.
Mark & Jen : Tragic flaw in an otherwise awesome portable net
The folding and telescopic aspects of this net are great however it broke on my second trip using it due to a tragic flaw in it's design. The hoop and stem of the net are aluminum which is strong enough and great, but the folding connector between them is plastic. This could be reasonable considering the net's cheap price point, but, as seen in my attached picture, the plastic bridge connecting the two are so questionably thin that breaking seems inevitable if you don't always handle it delicately.
The huge triangular opening of the net made it great for dragging along the beach briefly as waves are receding to gather sand crabs for surf fishing but the force of pushing the net into the sand snapped it on my second trip. The connector could be plastic but should be 2-3 times thicker to give this net the durability it visually appears to otherwise have.
Amazon Customer : Greqt
Well made and easy to use. I like how the net folds up and comes with it's own storage case. The handle telescopes out which is nice. Good product
Chet : Came on time and good value
Looks good but have not tried it yet
Lezhi Jiang : Affordable and with good quality
I am very happy to purchase this fishing net, which is foldable, compact and very portable. This is the perfect length, the triangle mesh is suitable for the space of big fish. If you need it, then buying this is worth the expense.
K. M. Hanna : Broke during first use
I bought two. First time my son used one of them it broke. Now looking for something similar that will hold up. Very disappointed.
Heather : So far so good
I just got this yesterday I'm planning on using it for catching bats that we've been having trouble with getting into my house the past 2 weeks. The old fishing net of my dad's has big holes that every single bat has escaped from so this one appears to be perfect so far so good!!
L Major : Great for any fisherperson
Great help when I'm fishing. Exactly what I needed and not bulky or heavy.
Big Vic : Great Net!
This net is great! Stores away easy in its own bag. Strong and sturdy. Will last a while. I use it for trout. Love the color of the metal.
Amanda Lyons : Cute net for kids
I got this for a present for a 10 yrs old boy and he absolutely loved it!

Amazon Customer : It works
Better than what I expected!!! It will land fish for sure, not something that will last a lifetime but it will do for a few seasons. Only thing I found that was kinda odd is that there is a key ring connecting the net to the pole at the base. O well overall like I said it will works
Kayla : So easy to use and definitely deserves all 5 stars!
This net is durable, lightweight and SO easy to use! I took a video to show the ease of unfolding and folding it back up to fit into the carrying case. It’s perfect for anyone who loves fishing and my husband says it is worth ALL 5 stars!
Frank Gould : Unique Application - Extraction Success
This net worked like magic for a unique situation I needed to complete without killing all fish, clams, snails, shrimp, and other organisms in our pond. We made a dumb mistake when we converted our swimming pool into a natural pond when we included tilapia as one of our stock fish. After we had gorgeous native water lilies blooming in our shallow end, separated by tilapia fence from the deep end, the tilapia bred and their babies invaded the shallow end through the fence openings, grew to adults, and ate the lilies. Since then, we've waited for a freeze cold enough to kill the semi-topical tilapia but it hadn't happened since.
Then after fish management pros suggested poisoning the whole pond as the only way to get rid of them, I figure out a better solution using food to attract and train the fish to be fearless of the net. The YVLEEN Folding Fishing Net turned out to be the perfect length and depth to fan out in the water while the fish schooled on the edge waiting for me to feed them.
I focused on conditioning the tilapia so they were comfortable with the net and would swim in-and-out of it without fear. Once they appeared to accept the net, I threw food away to distract the school of native fish while I scooped up a tilapia or two from the rest. One can be seen in the included video with this post.
This doesn't say much for baited line fishers use of the net but I was pleased with the ability to leave it in the water and not fear it would rot or decay. Now that it's Winter and I've stopped feeding all fish, I've stored the net out of water so that it's ready in case any more tilapia show up in the Spring.

Monahan : Working great so far!
I've taken this on a few fishing trips so far and it's been great! I love being able to keep it folded up until I need it. Definitely makes it less of a nuisance than a regular net. It seems to be sturdy and hasn't shown any signs of weakness in the folding joint or elsewhere. Great item for the price.
Timothy : It will do ok for my needs
Its smaller than i thought. Depth is fine. The lock can be difficult to release, other times it doesnt lock open and net folds up. Fits nicely in my storage and the rubber coating doesnt get snagged on hooks. It works.
Lemongrass : Weak material
Broke the second time I used it. Their return policy is so slow.
Allen CHEN : Not sturdy
Was very disappointed with the durability of this net. It fell apart within several uses. I will not recommend this product. Very flimsy and breaks easily.
Parker Bowen : Made cheap. It gets rusty
It rusts out extremely fast!! Otherwise the net itself is great.
Lemongrass : Weak material

Chet : Came on time and good value
Looks good but have not tried it yet
C. Field : Better-than-expected
Better-than-expected
Brandon Brewer : Broke on first fishing trip.
2 stars because the locking mechanism broke during first use while unfolding it. Otherwise would've been an easy 5 stars. Looks beautiful. Netting is high quality. Folding/telescoping action is a game changer. May have just gotten a defective one. Will probably give it another try and update review later.
Kathryn : For fishing
I actually accidentally bought this. Didn’t realize this was a huge net basically for fishing. My fish are barely a foot long.
Heather : So far so good
I just got this yesterday I'm planning on using it for catching bats that we've been having trouble with getting into my house the past 2 weeks. The old fishing net of my dad's has big holes that every single bat has escaped from so this one appears to be perfect so far so good!!
Mel : Sturdy, compact and easy to use. But want more length.
This is the third net we have bought for kayak fishing. Our first (another type/brand) broke on the first use. The second (similar as well, we like but don't love. It lacks quality and we are hesitant to use because of it). This one is the best quality so far. Solid coated net. The folding it smooth/easy, and it's handle is strong and has a good place to clip to a holder. My only complaint is that the handle does not lengthen. I would like it to telescope out another 6-12 inches at least. Other than that, love.
Jc : Great net great price!
Works great! Love the folding feature makes it easy to carry and to store. Material seems pretty sturdy. Would love to see options for netting size.
L Major : Great for any fisherperson
Great help when I'm fishing. Exactly what I needed and not bulky or heavy.
sissy : Toaster Test
Saw that a couple of people had their nets break on the first use, usually with a pound or two. Given that I work second shift and I wasn’t able to head to the lake at midnight to test my net with actual fish, I decided to use my toaster as a weight. The net held up well, no bending, cracking, or ripping. So I consider this a solid purchase.
I’m also digging the fact that the net seems to be made of a silicone-ish material that hopefully won’t injure any critters.
Well, anymore than the hooks already do.
Leave me alone. I have a guilt complex when it comes to fishing.

Bobby K. : Broke After First Use
i purchased this net as a back up and tried to use it for the first time. The net frame snapped from the arm the first time I opened it up. Its an inexpensive net for a reason I guess. Very disappointed. I am surprised by the other reviews as this appears to be more than just a one-off issue.
Kutledoe1919 : It's a net ... it works
We took this to the beach and it did not disappoint
Kim : I’d buy it again
Good product
Melissa huff : Just get it you need one.
Im sure i couldnt sit on it but its pretty sturdy. I wish it had a caribiner so i could clip it to my bag while i walk and fish along the bank.
Virginia : Fits in my pontoon boat's seat
This does exactly what I need it to do, and folds away for easy storage.
Emily : Good
Good product, I wish the handle is longer, but it does the job.
Parker Bowen : Made cheap. It gets rusty
It rusts out extremely fast!! Otherwise the net itself is great.
bill : Fish lander
this worked great at landing fish 12 to 18 inches long while pole fishing. folds up nice and the strings are coated giving strength and durability.
also tried to use it tracking down some koi fish in my pond, very slow in the water to catch anything.
but a good net for fishing.
Travis : Packs small
Great for small fish nothing over 5lbs. Works great for hiking
Kim : I’d buy it again
Good product
Shane-O-Mac : Get it
This net is worth the money.
-Derek Ross : Great price, lightweight but broke on first use ????
Net was lightweight and has nice netting. Sadly it broke where it folds out on the first use. Not sure if it was defect or what happened. I would reccomend spending a little bit more on a different product.
Lanette : Not telescopic
The description says telescoping fishing net, but the one I received is very short and not telescopic.
Kelly C. : Overall good product...but snags hooks easily.
Overall...it’s a good product. It folds well and saves space in my boat, as I can store it in one of the hatches. The one downside is it EASILY catches hooks when netting a fish and can be a real pain to get the hook free.
