Answer: The long telescoping model has a round opening 19 inches in diameter. The net is 17 inches deep, and 6 inches in diameter at the bottom. The net material is not at all impressive; it would be likely fine for fish up to 5 lbs. Up to 10 lbs. just a maybe, beyond that it would seem doubtful. Not one iota of instruction with the item. Very complex engineering of telescoping setup. Took me over 30 minutes of cursing to get it setup. Would not recommend, frankly.

Answer: Sorry but no it does not. One solution to this problem is to save some of the small Velcro strips that come with the TV cables or some appliances. I happen to use a small canvas bag with a draw string that I saved from something I no longer have and it works great since I don’t have to worry about getting the net snagged on something. This net is perfect for what I was wanting, it seems very sturdy, light weight, collapses to a decent size and all at a great price. The net size could easily hold four or more gallons of water (if it wasn't a net ????), plenty of room for a very large fish. The only thing I wish it had was a small nylon, draw sting bag, guess I will need to find one for it.

Not bad for the price. Would give 5 stars if the whole thing had been made of aluminum. Haven't used it yet so not sure how the plastic folding latch will hold up. T he net opening latch isn't very smooth and the extension locks need 2 hands to ensure tightness, sometimes the pole continues to rotate. The netting is a rubberized small mesh which will prevent fish damage and keep hooks from snagging on the netting. It's a nice length, collapsed or extended. Just wish it came with a case or cover.

I like the collapsible handle and net. My only dislike is that every time you catch a fish, the lure treble hooks always get caught in the net and it takes time getting each hook out. I’d save your money and stick with the rubber nets.

I'm disabled & can't chase the darn cat who badly needs treatment in her ear. If you try to buy a net labelled for catching cats, etc you're going to pay over $150 even if it's the very same product. This one is great. It's strong, rubber mesh which decreases claws entangling. The handle is sturdy and adjustable. It's just big enough for my cat, who is a smidge smaller than average. My nephew who is a devoted fisherman says this is a great net for fishing as well.
