Q:
Would this be able to be used to net salmon up in paluski ny? they vary from 15-30 lbs there.
Answer: no, not big enough nets and not strong enough
Answer: I dont think so. You definitely would have to hold it at the base of the net and not extended at all. I wouldn't go past 8 to 10 lbs with it.
Answer: Absolutely can do that.I tried to catch the salmom, which is about 20Lb. the net works well!
Answer: Yes this net sure can you won't be disappointed I assure you that you won't.

Answer: The long telescoping model has a round opening 19 inches in diameter. The net is 17 inches deep, and 6 inches in diameter at the bottom. The net material is not at all impressive; it would be likely fine for fish up to 5 lbs. Up to 10 lbs. just a maybe, beyond that it would seem doubtful. Not one iota of instruction with the item. Very complex engineering of telescoping setup. Took me over 30 minutes of cursing to get it setup. Would not recommend, frankly.

Answer: What is the length of the extended handle and what are the dimensions of the net itself?

Q:

Answer: About the 98inch fishing landing net,it is about 33.46inch when collapsed;
Answer: 98 inches extended X 33.5 inches folded
Q:

Answer: It depends on your rod holder.
Answer: It sure does...
Q:
Does the handle lock in place when folded up?
Answer: Not if the fish is more than 3 lbs or if it is longer than 15” and the fish flops re-folding the handle pay the locks. They are lose enough to quickly deploy, but don’t lock well
Answer: No. Stays closed up good but not locked. Will fit in a back pack or bigger bag. 18in when collapsed.
Answer: Sorry but no it does not. One solution to this problem is to save some of the small Velcro strips that come with the TV cables or some appliances. I happen to use a small canvas bag with a draw string that I saved from something I no longer have and it works great since I don’t have to worry about getting the net snagged on something. Product reviews of SAN LIKE Fishing Net Fish Landing Nets Collapsible Telescopic Sturdy Pole Handle for Saltwater Freshwater Extending to 36/43/71/98inches
Robin F Ballenger : Very Ingenious!!
Really great collapsible fishing net. I'm glad I ordered it. Although I need to get another one because my grandson appropriated mine. He's a dedicated fisherman and he thinks it is nifty too!
Karl : Decent product
Decent product
Ryan Smith : Great foldable net!
Great design and sturdy net. I love it!
ddguy : Pretty strong pole, nice rubberized net
I use this to collect debris from my pond. I routinely use it to handle about 10 pounds of material. At full extension, I bring the net to me in the water and then point the pole vertically when it is close. Managing the netted material this way is very nice, regardless of how heavy it is. The telescoping is fairly easy to extend/contract. Overall, for the price I paid, I can't ask for more from a net.
Steve Davenport : Compact Fishing net
I love this fishing net as it’s easy to carry, unfold and has an extended handle.
Andrea : Broke within 2 uses
I bought this and have only used it 2 times and it has broken. Highly dissatisfied
Eddy EGA : FISHING NET USED TO CATCH TOADS
The item was well described and received as so.

Michael : carch fish with is great
Having a great net to catch fish with is great. Having a that you can take with you anywhere is even better. This net is the best potable net I’ve seen in a while at a great price. I can go fishing on a bank and have this net attached to my belt loop and get to it if I need to land a fish. Also I like that the net is rubber coated. That helps prevent your hook from getting caught in the net.
anthony : not a horrible purchase
its decent I used it to net some catfish but it would be so much better if it was made from aluminum the plastic feels cheap
Jill W. Jenkins : Great for catching my large chickens!
I bought this for when I need to catch my chickens to clip their wings and I love it!
jb : Good net
So far, net performing as advertised. Lightweight, easy telescopic handle, adequate sized net. Folds up quickly for storage.
Kianna : Shaft flexible beyond 6 ft.
Telescopic design is a good idea but much to flexible when extended for me. I'm keeping it as a 6 foot or less net.
Maxrap : Great Net
This is a great net, very light weight and sturdy. With the handle retracted it is very compact and easy to transport but extends to reach fish far enough away to avoid high sticking your rod. I have used it from the bank, off a dock and from a kayak much better than a short handled one. Very handy when you do not have a net man.

Light weight and easily puts away after use.

Rachel : Flimsy
So im revising my review, this net buckled under my second fish I attempted to net. lost my fish, and ruined my day.
Jill W. Jenkins : Great for catching my large chickens!

anthony : not a horrible purchase
its decent I used it to net some catfish but it would be so much better if it was made from aluminum the plastic feels cheap
Edward : Better choices are out there
Plastic belt clip broke on the second use. The plastic rim of the net broke 1 month in.
I wouldn't recommend this product. There are better options available.
HYW : A robust extendable landing net
I recently found an excellent fishing spot under a small bridge, where there are abundant crappies. However, the area is covered with water and rocks, making it a bit difficult to land the crappies. In fact, I have lost quite a number of cappies during several fishing trips, which was very frustrating and prompted me to purchase a landing net. I chose this net (the longest form) because of its length (~100 inches when fully extended) and depth (~17 inches). I have used the net during a couple of fishing trips and am very pleased. The net is very robust, and it is actually already long enough without full extended, but being able to extend to 100 inches is certainly a good option. I have not lost single crappie after using this landing net. Needless to say, I am very happy with the purchase.
chb2003 : Good net
Like the way it is collapsable.
Janer : Flimsy
Very flimsy, net lock slides
India : Good quality
Actually floats solid fishing net
K. A. : not great quality - handle detached quickly
the telescope handle is poorly made, detached itself after 2nd use, did not extend very far and maybe I should have read description better, but overall disappointing.
Karl : Decent product
Decent product
Amazon Customer : Works good.
Bought to clean leaves from my koi pond. Works good for my application.
LordChumley : Very well built, easy to use.
Very well built, quality product, easy to use.
PP : Good quality net. Doesn’t come with case.
Out of the box, this appears to be good quality and worth the price. I’m very happy with the purchase. I haven’t used it yet though. One thing I wish it came with was a carrying case with a shoulder strap. Would make the walks from car to fishing spot a lot easier. I’m worried the net is constantly going to get tangled up with my fishing gear or caught on something. I guess I’ll use some Velcro straps to keep the net in place when it’s collapsed.
K. Celata : Works for the Cat
I'm disabled & can't chase the darn cat who badly needs treatment in her ear. If you try to buy a net labelled for catching cats, etc you're going to pay over $150 even if it's the very same product. This one is great. It's strong, rubber mesh which decreases claws entangling. The handle is sturdy and adjustable. It's just big enough for my cat, who is a smidge smaller than average. My nephew who is a devoted fisherman says this is a great net for fishing as well.
Doug S. : Easy to carry on back pack.
Light weight and easily puts away after use.
Janer : Flimsy
Very flimsy, net lock slides
Phil : Is what it is
Cheap and short
hwk : Hard to use
The net is too light. It is always floating on top of water. Can't get anything. It is totally useless.

Sam : Well made and sturdy
Heavy duty net and Handle. Retracts and folds enough to fit in backpack. Good purchase for catfish, bass, and anything in lower size ranges. Prob not recommended for Musky, Pike or larger sized fish.
Brittany : Great
I got this for my dad. He said it’s very easy to fold and he really likes it.
PP : Good quality net. Doesn’t come with case.

K R : Good net!
Folds to a compact size, lightweight and string enough for my needs.
dms : sturdy fishing net
I like how compact this net becomes when folded. Easy to keep in the boat.
manabu kimura : Just okay product.
Not really smooth when you extend it...
