The net material is not at all impressive; it would be likely fine for fish up to 5 lbs. Up to 10 lbs. just a maybe, beyond that it would seem doubtful. Not one iota of instruction with the item. Very complex engineering of telescoping setup. Took me over 30 minutes of cursing to get it setup. Would not recommend, frankly.

Answer: Sorry but no it does not. One solution to this problem is to save some of the small Velcro strips that come with the TV cables or some appliances. I happen to use a small canvas bag with a draw string that I saved from something I no longer have and it works great since I don’t have to worry about getting the net snagged on something. I use this to collect debris from my pond. I routinely use it to handle about 10 pounds of material. At full extension, I bring the net to me in the water and then point the pole vertically when it is close. Managing the netted material this way is very nice, regardless of how heavy it is. The telescoping is fairly easy to extend/contract. Overall, for the price I paid, I can't ask for more from a net.

I'm disabled & can't chase the darn cat who badly needs treatment in her ear. If you try to buy a net labelled for catching cats, etc you're going to pay over $150 even if it's the very same product. This one is great. It's strong, rubber mesh which decreases claws entangling. The handle is sturdy and adjustable. It's just big enough for my cat, who is a smidge smaller than average. My nephew who is a devoted fisherman says this is a great net for fishing as well.

This net is definitely not for a larger fish as the locking head is all plastic and would probably break off. The handle itself is only 29 inches to the bottom of the net. The handle is made like a fishing rod and is round and tapers down from 3/4 in. to about 1/2 in in diameter at the locking mechanism. Probably would be fine for a trout net or other lightweight fishing.

This is awesomem as it is a fold up net with a pole that extends so you can always have it with you for an impromtu fishing trip. The only problem I had was getting the tape and plastic they had wrapped so tightly around the net off. It actually tore the net portion in one a place a bit which sucks but I was able to fix it as I am a sewer. This will make a great birthday present for my son.

Having a great net to catch fish with is great. Having a that you can take with you anywhere is even better. This net is the best potable net I’ve seen in a while at a great price. I can go fishing on a bank and have this net attached to my belt loop and get to it if I need to land a fish. Also I like that the net is rubber coated. That helps prevent your hook from getting caught in the net.

Very strong, beautiful, and sturdy design. The net is made out of a tough material that you feel like won't tear easily. The extension in the polls snaps all move very well and do not feel like they will break under pressure. My only issue was that while fishing my hooks continuously got stuck in the fabric and made it hard to get the fish out and loose. Other than that absolutely great
